  1. Not only that, but the stores that do Friday Night Magic sometimes also do little events based around learning to play with those intro decks i mentioned (you also get to keep it). I know right? I've put it in my Mill deck for now, as when combined with the Tormod's Crypt reprint from M15, it is a pretty lethal move, I can't wait to wipe the looks off my friend's faces....and can we talk about how over-powered Talent of the Telepath is? A 7 card mill + i get to cast an instant/sorcery for free or cast 2 if i have 2 or more instants/sorceries in my graveyard for only a 2UU
  2. Aye, most comic shops/geek and nerd merch shops will sell MTG, and some bookstores. (Waterstones over here in the UK usually does, depending on the shop). A good way to get a deck usually one of the intro decks for the beginning of each block. EDIT: was pretty surprised at Ob Nixilis being the 3rd planeswalker. I did see some speculation about it being him but i guess they're saving Nissa for the next set
  3. Lamenting the fact i forgot to take crisps for lunch to work with me tonight
  4. You know you're a Sanderfan when you wish/hope with all of your Spiritweb that Wizards of the Coast would request Brandon to use his vast powers to write an official Magic: The Gathering history timeline/encyclopaedia detailing all the lore so far. or when you wish/hope if the above doesn't happen, that Wizards instead make an official blockset based off the Cosmere (or at the very least, make limited edition planeswalkers of a few Cosmere characters)
  5. Another idea could be to perhaps breed/create a Mistborn or Feruchemist and spike the other Metallic Art's abilities into them, and then for another plot twist... breed a Fullborn (man that child will be messed up)
  6. Not to mention that I'm not getting any vibe of Intent from the second letter, unless it is either Apathy, Scorn, Meh or the Intent doesn't really allow him the intervene x) (not that that really matters seeing as he won't intervene anyway). Granted we don't know the timescale of when these letters were sent/received or the Cosmere's timeline (after all, these characters have been alive for millenia, so the perception of 'now' could be something that happened centuries ago) It is possible that what makes Hoid so different (perhaps where his longevity comes from also) could make Frost the same or perhaps whichever Shardword Frost is on provides him with the magic system to do so.
  7. Apologies for the year and a half necro, but after a re-read, something really odd just stood out to me. The writer (presumably Frost) uses the term current incarnation to describe Hoid. Granted no-one knows what exactly Hoid is (other than that he is something else entirely altogether) but due to his Lightweaving this might factor into used language...but this just seems like such a strange phrase to use.
  8. I was lightly discussing this with Moogle over in the Cosmere Theories Frost thread and I do agree that is a highly likely possibility, but from those quotes he seems to me more of an observer/spectator/someone-just-in-the-know commenting on the occurred events more than an actual holder but I can see it from both sides. We have seen that it is possible to possible become immortal through other means. If he is a holder though, I think it could be that he might be the holder of Endowment ( pure speculation as i'm going off that one phrase used in Warbreaker)
  9. Bahahaha, love that video
  10. That and it is demonstrated in-book (at least with sprenblades) that implanting the blade is the only way to keep it in the physical realm or to break the exisiting bond so perhaps the same initially applied to Heralds and their blades.
  11. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/6533-the-second-letter-spoilers/?p=107048 based on that post from the Second Letter topic, we're 99% sure that Frost is sending it. Also, going by Hoid's comment about "your friends of the 17th Shard", it looks like Frost might not actually be a part of the organisation itself but is just on really good terms with them. Hmm.... Definitely leaning towards being a Shardholder now, but his comments on not taking the life of another of the 16 and mourning the great suffering Rayse has caused, makes the whole thing sound rather impersonal i.e. he sounds like the act of a killing a Shard wouldn't really affect him much, much like a dispassionate scientist lamenting an unfortunate but inevitable outcome to an experiment or something.
  12. This is also true, unless he has achieved immortality through another means. There was a WoB saying Odium had splintered one other Shard we haven't seen. Nor has it been clarified/confirmed if someone can transfer a Shard's power without having to die to drop it. Can a Shard even write a letter? Is it even letter Physical letter? o.O Hoy, too many questions. Interesting thought; the sceptre that Hoid tried to steal in MaiPon, did it have a gem in it? As i was thinking that might relate to what is mentioned at the start of the second letter.
  13. I actually thought you were trying to convey some sort of code o.o *takes aluminium-foil hat off*
  14. For me it is more the philosophical aspect (as with so many things). I do share his nihilistic views (but not to such an extremely fanatic degree) but his actions (as demonstrated by Thanos Rising) aren't exactly clear cut. Being manipulated and driven insane by the manifestation of a transitional state of existence/metaphysical avatar of entropy does not a nice garden make. (I still fail to understand how Death can even be 'alive' unless we're factoring in Cognitive Realmatics into this )
  15. My thoughts exactly. Has he worldhopped before/Did he used to worldhop but stopped after some...incident happened?
  16. I'm of the opinion that 'seen' doesn't mean physically and that it is just referring to the Letter's reply. Presuming that he actually is a reptile/dragon, I would argue he could be present on Nalthis (that vague dragon mention in-book) but seeing as he hasn't worldhopped, that would be unlikely. Unless....*aluminum-foil hat* plot-twist...Endowment could be Frost What the WoB doesn't say if Frost has ever Worldhopped/ever used to Worldhop but doesn't now due to some event in the past
  17. I was are of that bit, was just curious if he could do it whilst his D-Breath was suppressed. it would actually be nice to know what is actually going on in that regard, does he still count as highly invested or is he hiding/pushing the investiture elsewhere, perhaps into the Cognitive realm (that is so going on my list now)
  18. I've been getting a good laugh out of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijo. Not bad for your typical run of the mill Harem anime but i find it qutie comical. Been meaning to try Wolf Rain + there's a few i want try on netflix
  19. I really want to trick out one of those scooters with fast engines...just for the laughs
  20. Reminds me of the Town Called Salem game online (the first kind of elimination game i've played) then i recently played Werewolf. Never come across Mafia though.
  21. sDNA shenanigans. I mean I know he's hacked the system to consume Stormlight but would that include being able to attract a spren too?
  22. I woulda just left it...or maybe kept it as a pet. Perhaps call them Vin and feed them chouta ^^
