  2. Nyali and Mage, sorry to hear that you're still suspicious of me, though as I said, I'm not surprised. My unfortunate mistakes must make me seem like a liability at best, and I can't blame you. I do echo Doc's suspicions of Nyali, though she's not my main worry. I do still feel Wonko might have been Elim, with the explanation that it could have been a distancing tactic trying to clear Wonko when they felt one of them was going down either way. Doc, you still worry me too, in fact, though if Wonko is Elim, you're almost certainly in the clear. For now, in fact, since I still feel strongly about him, and because it would help clear me, I'm going to vote again on Wonko the Sane. Edit: Mage, I checked and I think you're right about tipping the scales. Because of the idea that Wonko might also be Elim, I don't quite think that clears you, but I'm withholding that suspicion until Wonko is cleared or confirmed.
  3. Woah. He had me fairly convinced, enough that I pushed for us to try not to lynch him. Eek. Aaaand, once again, that's probably going to make me look suspicious to some people. Oh well. I can truthfully say that I had no idea that STINK was a traitor, and that I am not, but it might be hard to convince some of you now. I don't think I'll offer any other accusations just yet, though, I'll have to reassess. EDIT: @Amanuensis, you said that if STINK was a traitor, you felt Mage almost certainly would be as well. I'm not sure I followed the reasoning for that, though, can you explain a bit? Mage did vote for STINK, late sure, but he could have forced a tie instead, giving the Elims a 50/50 chance that STINK would survive at least.
  4. Unless they're part of the Ghostbloods or some other group we've technically seen, but just affiliated with them. That'd be a stretch, though.
  5. Tried it. :-( Two teaspoons in water (separate 1tsp doses). Mild improvement as I swallowed it, didn't last even a full minute. Just got back from the store with Tums (haven't worked yet) and ginger ale (should help my mood if not my throat).
  6. Quintus watched as Dr Neuems fell to his death, hanging by the end of the rope. He wished it hadn't have needed to come to that, but the group was scared and angry, and with tensions running high and a murderer around, it wasn't surprising. The fact that Dr Neuems seemed innocent after the fact didn't help sooth his conscience either. Quintus resolved to explore the house more to find what was causing the feelings he'd been picking up, and perhaps even disable whatever was behind the house's strange and malevolent changes. Perhaps he'd overhear or stumble on something that would lead him to the Huxton's killer, too. He wasn't a fighter, but Quintus could take care of himself if needed.
  7. I've had heartburn straight from Damnation for the past few hours. Nothing is helping, or at least not enough. All those home remedies, as well as pepto...not much use. Storms, this is painful.
  8. I've also been finding Rae's tone suspicious, though to be fair, she's accusing me, so that likely has a lot to do with it. I'm not sure about Paranoid King, since he's being very…random, from what I can tell, but the way he's been acting might be good cover for an Elim too. This cycle, though, I want to find out why Rae has it in for me. So, since I might not be back on before rollover: Rae
  9. I just finished another reread of Warbreaker, and I realized there's something that I haven't seen discussed much, if at all (I went back and searched and found only cursory mentions mostly, but I very well may have missed some). Why does Nightblood's BioChromatic Aura (assuming that's what it is and there's not something else going on) cause colors to deepen? Darken, I can understand, and that's part of it, but doesn't seem to be all of it: Just darkening the colors alone would make them, well, just darker. Deepening is implying something else. Even if not, compare that to how it's described when someone gives away all their Breath (reducing their BioChromatic aura): Vasher while without Breath (from his perspective): The girl who provides a Breath for Lightsong, from his perspective: Nightlbood doesn't make things dull, as if he was somehow suppressing a BioChromatic Aura, but I also don't really see how the idea of corrupted Investiture (which is I believe confirmed to be the reason for the black smoke) would play into that either. I don't have a theory here, only questions. Has anyone put thought into that strange Aura that Nightblood has?
  10. There's topic with the star chart: Haven't seen anything else I don't think yet.
  11. Not necessarily. Sometimes he RAFO's something unimportant simply to keep us guessing, or in that case it could have been to avoid pointing us toward (or away from) Bavadin/Autonomy as Trell, and encourage more debate.
  12. That's an interesting thought, especially when you consider that when leading people into battle, you cannot protect them all. You can protect those that are near, or the ones you have the power to save, but he's going to have to realize that it's not his fault if he can't protect someone he led into battle, and that has to be okay. Whether that's what the oath relates to or is simply a part of his learning process (and I'd like to see him deal with this one without getting all despondent again), I don't know, but I suspect that will come up at some point.
  13. She is supposed to remember those who have been forgotten, neh?
  14. I don't know how much time I'll have tomorrow, and since I don't want to miss rollover, I'm trying to make my final decision on this now. By my count, this is the voting now: (3) STINK: Daniyah, Amanuensis, Ecthelion (2) Wonko: Magestar, Doctor12 (1) Assassin in Burgundy: Wonko the Sane (1) Daniyah: STINK (1) polkinghornbd: Nyali (Reordered by number of votes) I'm worried by the train on STINK, especially since as I've noted, he's not one of my big suspicions. Nyali or Dani I'm wondering about, and I'd been less concerned by Wonko, but I reread both Aman's summary and the original, he does strike me as trying to remain unsuspicious while casting suspicions on others (like El, who was village). The fact that he removed his vote from Doc and didn't place a new one could easily be just the fact that we were apparently on track to lynch a villager anyways, so why would he risk making himself look suspicious by either adding to that or throwing a semi-random vote on someone else that wouldn't get anywhere at that point anyways? I'm going to try to keep up more notes and commentary for myself, but for this round, my vote is going on Wonko the Sane. EDIT: If either Mage or Doc drops their votes from Wonko before the end of the round, I'll be more suspicious of them, and I'll also be suspicious if he turns out to be village (though I know that might make me look suspicious to some as well). Again, I'd prefer not to see this come down to a random choice, because despite the passionate plea for letting the roll of the dice be a part of our games, I tend towards action and certainty instead of gambling. Must be why I didn't like Mat Cauthon. *hides* And from Quintus' perspective: Quintus eyed the group from the relative safety of his seat on a fallen tree, one he'd made sure was clear of any bugs (didn't need to have toes go missing). They'd kept up the arguing, and his mind went back to the previous days, when it seemed that Dr. Kalei had been all to quick to cast aspersions on others, then sit back and see what happened. If someone wanted to drive a wedge into this group, especially with tensions so high already, that would be a fine way to go about it. He grunted quietly to himself, then motioned towards Dr. Kalei. "Perhaps we should leave the troublemaker behind and let the jungle deal with him." Edit: Should have just put in the updated vote list, though I wanted that first one for my analysis. (3) STINK: Daniyah, Amanuensis, Ecthelion (3) Wonko: Magestar, Doctor12, Jondesu (1) Assassin in Burgundy: Wonko the Sane (1) Daniyah: STINK (1) polkinghornbd: Nyali @STINK, should I point out that moving your vote to Wonko instead of Dani will save you (barring more votes from others)?
  15. But would Nale consider them demigods? I somehow find that unlikely.
  16. Wow, Aman, that's quite the analysis. I can't say that I'm really feeling STINK still, since I was seeing what looked like a coordinated effort against him without a lot of backing. Wonko I'm watching but not very concerned by so far, but Nyali I'm leaning a bit Elim on. Dani too. Mage I think I'm only suspecting somewhat because he's going after me, but I know I made an impression in MR17, so I don't want that to taint my guessing at him either. :-P I don't want to just toss out a vote yet, and of the people who already have votes, Dani is one of the ones I'd be most likely to put a vote on, but I'm not confident enough to actually do that. I'll try to vote before the end of the cycle, though, as I watch for more discussion. @Daniyah, @Magestar, @Wonko the Sane, @Nyali, ya'll have all been relatively active, but what do you think of both Aman's analysis and my suspicions? Oh, and @OrlokTsubodai, congratulations and the best of luck to you! That's amazing to have a chance to interview at Oxford!!!
  17. Well, it's true.
  18. Yeah, that's a dangerous area. I'm taking a crazy number of them too, so I have to keep that in mind (I can't have vinegar while I'm taking one of them, for instance, and I only take it two weeks out of three, so I have to keep track). Mixing them with hard drugs like that just exponentially increases the chances of huge problems.
  19. There's no mention of an aura around Zahel either, and he has enough breath for the First Heightening (unless his Divine Breath still allows for that benefit even when he's suppressing it, I don't know if we know that for sure). Of course, the First Heightening doesn't stop aging, but it's not absurd that Vivenna could have enough. Perhaps Zahel/Vasher would have even given her most of his Breath once he knew he could use Stormlight to stay alive anyways.
  20. Pretty sure it's confirmed to have been the same game. Could The Stump be Vivenna?
  21. Back to being evil. But powerful (socially).
  22. I'd have loved that! Probably would have tainted me forever in everyone's minds, though. I'm a plain ole villager in half of my games so far, though (since I have two active right now).
  23. Hurt Murkwood (I don't even remember the character), Heal Firefight. 3. Firefight--18 4. Murkwood--0 (Deceased) 5. Limelight--7 6. Conflux--12 9. Obliteration—5 10. Regalia--8
  24. My reputation precedes me. Actually, I'm afraid it's condemning me for now. I seem to be the main suspects in both of my current games. Oh well, time to practice defending myself.
