  1. Aaaand I'm off to the hospital. Not dehydration, but another complication I won't go into. Edit: headed home, nothing of note.
  2. I think it's indicated that Soulcasters don't require trapped spren in the gems (part of why they haven't managed to replicate them). There's more to them, though.
  3. Ack, another Thug, or else a Mistborn who drew Pewter. This is getting a bit annoying. A vote was soothed off Assassin, but that could be a misdirect (especially if HH is Spiked Mistborn, since they'd know he'd survive and they could cast suspicion on Assassin. RP to come tomorrow hopefully.
  4. I agree, Wilson. He's not my biggest concern certainly, but I'm not interested in giving up on Assassin because of a bandwagon, so here's my vote change as I said I might. Herwynbe Joe (Hemalurgic Headshot)
  5. Much appreciated. Moving my vote wouldn't affect much now, since I don't plan to move it to Assassin, but I'll check back before rollover if I'm still awake.
  6. Can someone do a vote tally? I'm on mobile so I can't do it, but I can't get back to sleep at the moment and would like to make sure my vote goes to the best option. I'm not feeling the bandwagon on Assassin, I get a gut read of village on him, so I wouldn't mind countering or even tying it to see what happens with vote manips.
  7. That's an amazing analogy that fits very well with what we know and have theorized. Great job!
  8. I've been sleeping the entire day with the flu, so I haven't been able to really review the thread (I've checked it out a few times, but my brain is pretty foggy). I'll leave my vote for now, but if I can I may check back before rollover. If you want me to actually read something you post, please mention me.
  9. I am covered by good insurance. The worry was an intellectual one of knowing I need to avoid it more than actually feeling dehydrated, so we've taken steps to prevent it. I've been in bed all day today, though, except trips to the bathroom, but it is easing up. Activated Charcoal is pretty effective apparently.
  10. Ok, so now I've gone basically three full days with severe...intestinal issues that come with a stomach bug or flu. I won't go into detail obviously, but I'm potentially in danger of dehydration I feel, regardless of how much water I can drink. Might have to call the doctor tomorrow if it doesn't at least get a bit better.
  11. Remart smelled smoke. A little here and there was normal, and in fact a good smoker roasting a side of beef was about the best smell in the world. This wasn't that kind of smoke, though. It smelled of wood that wasn't meant to be burned, and there was far too much of it. Then he heard the glass breaking and wooshes of flame, and he knew what must have happened. He thumped at his best speed (without his pewter, that is) looking for the source, but by the time he arrived, there was only a huge fire. Others were already beginning to fight it, so he grabbed a bucket to help, but it was obvious there would be a lot of damage. It wasn't until much later that he discovered Mad Matilda had been in there. She wasn't all there, of course, and drunk as a skunk every time he saw her, but no one should have to go that way. Remart looked over the scene and thought about who could have done it. "That Terrisman Herwynbe still gives me the shivers, and now Jack Tormander is giving me looks, on top of the paranoid suspicions from Mr Hoid. I can't imagine why they'd get rid of Matilda, though. Maybe it's the drinking." Madagascar voted against Gamma Fiend, Wonko, Conquestor, and Ecthelion (that's in reverse order) in addition to voting for Nyali the last two days. Of those, I've been wary of Wonko for a while, but mostly for not being very active, while Conquestor has been paranoid about me (he claims, it could be an act to see if a bandwagon will start). Gamma I'm definitely suspicious of as well, while Ecth I think is very likely village. So of those, I would consider voting for Wonko or Gamma, and maybe Conquestor. I maintain my suspicion of Herowannabe, while I think I trust Arinian enough to say Joe in the Bush is probably clean. Wilson I've trusted basically since the beginning now since I agree she wouldn't have pulled a WGG night one like that, and I'm feeling fairly good about Rae, Wyrm, and Drought, though those last two are just gut reads. Everyone else is mostly hovering in the middle. Oh, and Stick has been suspicious to me since the beginning too, but again, just a gut read overall. For now, I'm holding my vote on @Herowannabe, since I've never really seen anything that eases my concerns.

That reminds me a bit of how Odium stuffed Devotion and Dominion's power into the Cognitive Realm. It sounds like Preservation may have done something similar to Ruin, which incidentally preserved that power instead of allowing it to be directly used (which I suspect is why he was able to pull it off even though it seems opposed to his Intent).
  13. Nyali was RPing as a Kandra, not an Inquisitor. The Spiked probably have another two or three members, I'd guess.
  14. Eh, I think people are blowing it out of proportion. The opening crawl of The Force Awakens called Luke "the last Jedi". It's clearly a reference to him, though it could have deeper meaning too.
  15. Remart didn't know what to think. He figured his mind must be addled from too much ale, or maybe that roast horse steak the other day (he was worried it had been sitting out a bit too long). Still, Nyah was gone, and they'd found the evidence that she was indeed killing members of the town, not just working on the dead bodies. Good riddance. He would sleep well that night, though he decided to keep his leg attached just in case someone came for him again, or any other oddities happened in the night. Yes, I was right about Nyali! I think that probably further clears Rae in my opinion, and I'm sure it'll place more suspicion on some, but I'll have to reread what happened and look for people suspiciously noncommittal on her lynch. Edit: any vote shenanigans? Can't check myself right now, but it looks like maybe a friendly Rioter/Soother helped lynch Nyali?
  16. One Week Earlier: Quintus, Returned of Nalthis, stood in Shadesmar looking at the Perpendicularity that would lead him to the world of Roshar. He recalled what he knew of the world before he prepared to make the transition. His story was unusual, to say the least. He had been killed in an incident back on Nalthis, though he of course didn't remember that happening. Apparently his body had been turned into a Lifeless for several days, before the Awakened House he had been in (was that even possible?) came crashing down and he died again. Then, impossibly, he awoke. He'd had to force his way out of the beams and ruined walls of the house, but he was alive again. Returned. That usually took place in a matter of hours, a day at the outside, but he was living proof that it could happen much later, with some divine and not-so-divine intervention. His master, Hoid, had met him when he died, in the shimmering colors of Shadesmar on Nalthis. He'd managed to do something with a liquid he carried that had enabled Quintus to remain there, not fully cognizant, but unable to be pulled to the Beyond. Then Edgli had come, Endowment herself. Hoid had called in a favor, it seemed, and Quintus' own actions prior to his death had helped spur her to Return him, with a mission, though he had yet to discover it exactly. He only knew this from others, though, primarily Hoid. Like all Returned, he had no memories of his prior life. Hoid, somehow, though, had crafted a set of false memories and imprinted them into his mind using a curious copper medallion, or maybe it was a coin, he wasn't sure. He knew they memories were created for him, but they were so lifelike and natural, he'd come to accept them as part of who he was now. Hoid assured him that they were true memories as best as he could create, simply recreated from what Hoid knew, some experienced by the two of them together. Now, he carried with him a treasure of both Breaths and other forms of Investiture that would keep him alive, and Hoid had told him he would be able to use the Stormlight on Roshar to preserve himself as well. Now he just needed to fit in. He'd been taught how to hide his Divine Breath, but now he applied some special mental gymnastics that Hoid had drilled into his mind. He pictured the Alethi people, so different physically from himself, but no; he was one of them. He had the same narrow eyes and tanned skin, and eyes that were a dark purple. He knew it. And then it was. In a moment's time, his body had changed shape to match the image of himself he'd crafted. He would pass for an Alethi darkeyes now without suspicion. He needed a name to match, though. And so it was that Kintas stepped through onto the soil of Roshar and began the journey to Urithiru.
  17. Storms, Aman, that was an amazing write up and sounds like an awesome game. I got so mixed up last time I played two games at once, but you've hooked me. I'll join when I get time to write up my character intro (it'll likely be Quintus, but someone else might come to mind).
  18. Now I'm the one with the flu.
  19. Here's my thoughts based on the title (copied from a Facebook comment I made): I don't think Rey is going to become a Jedi. I think Luke has seen the flaws in the Jedi Order and will train her in a new way, making him The Last Jedi. If he's found the original Jedi temple, or one of the earliest ones, that could have led him to find the fatal flaw. The same flaw that brought down Anakin Skywalker. Division. Namely, the false division of the Light and Dark sides. Not that there isn't a Dark Side that leads to destruction, but that isn't caused by emotions, attachment, even fear or hate. It's from seizing the power of the Force for yourself instead of letting it flow through you. I would find it very fitting for Luke and Rey to finally resolve the problem Anakin discovered in the Jedi Order, and bring balance truly to the Force.
  20. I'd guess that would be way too risky for an Elim team to try right away like that. Doesn't mean it couldn't happen, but I'd be incredibly surprised.
  21. Like me, she was sick of us repeatedly trying and failing to kill Dalinar and wanted us to move on. Again, that doesn't explain why she'd have pushed early and strongly for us to lynch him D1, either. Neither of them would be a focus at all if it weren't for that, so if they're both Elims, that would have been a very bad tactic.
  22. @Assassin in Burgundy and anyone else voting for Rae, I'd like to hear any justification for why she would have gone after Dalinar D1 if she's spiked? I think she's decently soft-cleared at this point, and I'd rather we be a bit more critical in our logic and looking into who actually is a danger. @Arinian, I would definitely recommend not revealing others roles unless they say to. I'm concerned by you now, not that you might be spiked as much as that you might be damaging the village. Although, that'd be an easy way for a Spiked Seeker to try to clear themselves. I might vote for you tomorrow, though I'm more convinced of Nyali right now.
  23. "Hey, Whistler, I been pointin the finger at the Terrisman Herwynbe for a while now." Remart itched at his ear a bit with the stale bread he'd gotten with his breakfast. "You ain't alone in that one. Nyah's settin off all kinds of red flags too, and I been wondering about that Abundance Organization for a while too. Why ain't they showin themselves around here?" He hiccuped. "Let's try to play it smart today, no need for tempers flaring. Think about what we're doing. Who else hasn't been speakin up? Who's been letting us focus all our attention on the creepy lady with the body, and the rusting Mistborn leadin us in circles, all the while letting them run free and hurt people like Rin and Kip? I swear by my unfortunately not pewter leg that I'll find these 'spiked' and put an end to them." For clarification, I'm calling out @Herowannabe, @Nyali, and @Wonko the Sane as my current top suspects. A vote will come later once I assess the situation better. Can someone try to figure out who else is mostly inactive? My list got outdated and it's a lot of work.
