  1. @Sart: *slow clap* I have to seriously applaud your High Imperial and how you've made your posts still understandable (since the first couple). Definitely not a cosmetic role I would have even considered. On topic: I like seeing these lists, and while I don't have my thoughts currently organized well enough to present one of my own, other people's lists give me a chance to compare my own thoughts with how others have been perceiving those people, or see if I've been completely ignoring someone. That's kinda how I realized how hard I was tunneling on Herwynbe, too, and while I'm not just assuming he's good now, I've been spreading out my suspicions a lot more now. I think the idea that Wilson is Elim is probably silly this game, after all the discussion about that from the first cycle. She could have pulled a WGG, sure, but I think at this point she's alive because the Elims know that her being alive will make some people suspect her, and will draw discussion. She's more of a help to them as a distraction to us regardless of alignment, but I don't think there's a very high chance she's Spiked. I also agree with Wilson's assessment that we'd likely have seen more cycles with Tin if there was a whole team of Mistborn, and/or more kills in the night from them. It's possible they keep drawing other roles that don't end up having effect, but if there were 4-5 Mistborn, surely we'd have had Tin more than twice so far. I'd lean towards guessing at least 1-2 are roleless, but they certainly could be smokers or lurchers (it's almost certain that the Spiked have a Lurcher or else rolled Iron at least a couple rounds, in my opinion). In fact, do we remember someone claiming to have protected Dalinar? I can't recall if Lopen said he did or not. If not, then definitely that would have been a Spiked Lurcher or a Mistborn with Iron, and I wouldn't be surprised if they did have a Lurcher. Right now we have single votes against Sart, Hero, Wilson, and Wyrm. I hate to spread the field more, but I'm not particularly feeling the votes against Sart or Wilson as being likely, I already mentioned that I don't want to keep tunneling on Hero, and I had Wyrm marked as leaning village. Instead, I'm leaning towards Araris this round. Hero noted that he'd been flying under his radar, and I feel the same, and Sart noticing that he'd sort of switched tones with Assassin is interesting to me. He was one of my low-active suspicions, participating certainly, but seeming maybe to be trying to just not draw a lot of attention from anyone, either for what he says or for inactivity.
  2. I think you misunderstood. I didn't suspect Sheep… I literally didn't suspect anyone and basically pulled someone at random. Because people get suspicious if you don't vote the first day, but I have nothing to go on, and I was happy that in this game I didn't have to risk an irreversible mistake. Now that he's going to drop out, I think we should both interrogate and then execute him, since there's no good that comes from keeping inactive players in the game, unless we find a solid lead somehow before that happens. Unlikely in the first couple cycles in my opinion, it's more about luck then anyways. Kintas drew in a breath sharply as he was slammed into the side of the wall. Briefly, he thought Hashiv was attacking him, but then he realized it seemed to me more out of desperation and an attempt to, what, warn him? "What stranger is there here? Who did this to you?" After seeing the Stormlight heal everyone's wounds from the highstorm, he had assumed there wasn't much anyone could do that would hurt any of them for long. He drew out a pouch of spheres. "Here, breath in the Light."
  3. Kintas had returned to his rooms eventually and changed into a fresh uniform, or what he'd had created that he felt was appropriate. It was cut in the modern Alethi military style (no skirt, that was a bit old fashioned even if a few people still wore them), but he'd chosen a simple green color. He'd been tempted to choose the Kholin blue after seeing the guards, but he didn't want to confuse anyone, and green was a good color on him anyways. He looked in the mirror before he left the room, and assured himself that he looked appropriate, then took a second glance when he noticed his eyes. They seemed to have lightened some, though it was difficult to distinguish. He hadn't changed anything in his mental image of himself, had he? He knew the Radiants were historically all considered lighteyes, but many of the initiates were not, and he hadn't assumed it would be an essential change. He mentally filed it away and headed out to look for some of the others to speak to. It looked like a few people were giving up and leaving, Kaladin's training regime perhaps too harsh, though he was a little surprised they might be allowed to leave freely, considering the murder. Speaking of, he decided to drop by Lomot's room to see if he could investigate, but when he arrived, two of the Cobalt Guards turned him away. Seemed they didn't want to let anyone in there just yet. He started to make his way towards Ranatar's room, but before he reached it, he found Hashiv stumbling along a corridor, appearing injured. "Storms, man, are you alright?" @Darkness Ascendant
  4. Wow, so that kinda validates my vote for Sheep now, although I didn't know it at the time. Means I don't see any reason to change it, though. I really don't understand the flak I'm getting anyways. I won't be dropping out, btw, although it's possible I'll go a day or two without posts or at least RP here and there (but never a full cycle).
  5. Oh, I thought I already made my opinion clear. This is a Day 1 Lynch, essentially, which I always hate even if I've begun to acknowledge that they're necessary in a standard format game, so I appreciated that we sort of had an "out" here, knowing that we can imprison people, where they can remain and we can win without killing them, and then if we manage to gain any conclusive evidence of their alignment, they can later be set free. It's a rather genius mechanism if I do say so myself (I suggested it, though I think Aman had it in mind before that), and I was showing my appreciation for the idea of having the day 1 Lynch (which is based on virtually nothing) not be a permanent loss of a player. I don't know why that's so suspicious. As for the vote on Ashetvl, I just threw a vote on someone relatively active who I knew would show up and speak, but I really don't have anything more to say. It's not like there's anything to go on, as I noted. The discussion on what to do about spren didn't lead to a conclusion of a particular approach, sure, which it likely never would have, but that doesn't mean Elims weren't trying to nudge people towards a result they thought would be beneficial. I just haven't worked out who was likely doing that vs honestly trying to help.
  6. Remember, though, Stormlight is very similarly leaky visually, while Hemalurgy also leaks power but not visibly. There's precedent there without it having to be a mix of magic systems, though I do think that's probably the case.
  7. Not yet, we'll find out in a couple weeks. We have one of each already. :-)
  8. Hammer (you know what I mean)
  9. Hey, I'm all glowy! Hopefully at least. I hope I'm post-Reod.
  10. I think it should be pointed out that I'm fully in support of an interrogation. I simply said it wouldn't result in a lynch today, so I'm fine with voting for someone without strong suspicions, since it's not irreversible.
  11. Ecth, I could find it very plausible that some of the Elims could be encouraging strategies they think will be ineffective or could even help them, such as everyone rushing to put Honor on multiple spren as someone suggested, but if I were an Elim this game I might try to get away with RP only, so that will be something I'll be watching for. Since today is just unfounded suspicion and won't result in an actual lynch, I have no hesitation about casting a vote, so let's do... Ashetvl (AliasSheep) @Assassin in Burgundy, I've been doing my RP in brown for that reason. @Hemalurgic_Headshot, you can do colors on mobile by typing (color=red) (/color) around the text you want to color, except use square brackets [ ] instead of parenthesis. Otherwise just nicely separating it should be helpful too.
  12. Hey, I've been posting all along. To be fair, I can't conclusively refute the idea that I could have rolled Pewter and done a WGG, and honestly I would have been likely to do that as an Elim. I'm not, however, and have been earnestly trying to find leads on Elims. I helped get Nyali, not just in the bandwagon but suspecting her early on (and commenting on it), and while I know that's not a hard clear, she wasn't likely to be getting bussed by her team so soon after they lost Dalinar, so I'd think that would buy me some more credibility too. Basically, I don't know if I can completely clear myself, of course, but I hope it's been fairly clear that I'm being honest and actually attempting to help, even if I'm wrong about my guesses often enough (that's the way the game goes).
  13. I much prefer posting here instead of the other thread. This is a particularly good one, too! In about 5 months, there will be a third little baby in our family! (Well, the other two aren't babies anymore, but they once were.)
  14. Ooh, I never get the notifications on those events, @Kaymyth, so thank you! I noticed there were several Lickitungs popping up, which I'd never seen at all before, so that explains it. A walk or even just sitting at a park sounds awesome now. Lure's, but not incense, is that right? I need to post an updated list of my Pokemon names, I had some fun with them recently.
  15. Had to go look it up myself: http://coppermind.net/wiki/Enefel
  16. So, I think I caught the brain weasels full force (love that term). I mentioned in the good news thread that I had sent out a message to one of the girls that was my student for a long time and had gotten an awesome and encouraging message back. Well, I had sent several other messages just like that one, and one in particular Facebook has shown me was on many times since then, but the message shows as unread and she hasn't replied. It's making me very self-conscious and feeling like I must have said something weird that freaked her out enough she doesn't want to respond. I've talked to her in Facebook a number of times before, and we've been friends since she was 7 (I was 14 and helping with our kids programs at church, and we've remained friends ever since, even to the point of me meeting up with her and taking her to church while she was in college), so that makes me feel even worse about not getting a response.
  17. I don't think it's too much to ask. How many people had heard of Summer Glau before Firefly? Maisie Williams before Game of Thrones? That's exactly what I think should happen, we just can't guess who it'll be in that case, so it's not as much fun.
  18. STINK, I'm sorry, but saying you're not quitting but won't post does kinda rub me the wrong way, and you've been on my suspicious list long enough I'm gonna put a vote down on you. It's just a gut read still, like most of my other votes, but your attitude seems like someone who doesn't care who dies, but isn't trying to keep anyone alive either, since you know who your teammates are. @little wilson, @A Joe in the Bush, and @Elbereth, I see you're all saying you're growing suspicious of me, but just gut reads. Mind saying what you're suspicious of? I know people are paranoid about WGGs this game especially, but I feel like doing that with me at that point in the game would have been a really weird move for the Spiked. At the same time, I suspect they haven't killed me for good because they want me to draw suspicion for surviving, much like they may be doing with players like El, since she's not much of a threat if she's a villager and she'll gain votes from inactivity or coming back, potentially. There's no advantage to them killing either of us off at this point, especially since I've been wrong enough times that I'm probably helping them (except with Nyali, but I was far from alone in that one).
  19. Kintas had already spent one highstorm in the open on the way to Urithiru, and was sure he'd never wanted to do it again. At least that time he'd been sheltered under an outcropping of rock, watching boulders and all manner of other items flying past in the stormwall and after, for what seemed like forever. This time, he watched it approaching while tied to a wall facing the highstorm. He'd fastened himself tightly into the loop provided to him, knowing it could tear his arm off with it's strength, but also knowing he couldn't risk being flung away, even if it cost him dearly. He had watched with silent dread even as others around him had screamed, each person there reacting in their own way to what seemed like sure death and impending doom. Then it had hit. The first thing he noticed was that it was cold. Rain was always cold, but this was beyond anything he expected. He half-thought frost was going to form on his skin. Then he felt that skin begin to be ripped to shreds by the loose rocks and debris in the stormwall, and decided the cold wasn't as big of a problem. But then… Light. Precious Stormlight had flooded into his veins. He'd felt the surge of energy from both Breath and Stormlight filling him before, granting him another week of life, but this was different. Instead of just bringing him back to his full strength, this had added to it. He felt the storm raging outside, but he also felt it raging inside, stronger than the storm outside. He felt it pushing through him, his cuts and bruises glowing and then disappearing, the cold suddenly turned into a fiery warmth surging from inside him. By the time the storm ended, he felt rejuvenated in a way he'd never imagined, though he also didn't really want to repeat the experience in that way. He suspected his Returned body had tolerated the storm better than some of the others, though as Kaladin said, he was feeling sick despite the storm inside. He'd been flung about the entire time, and while he couldn't actually get sick, he could get dizzy, and he was feeling those effects now. He sat on the surface of the roof of Urithiru and looked around him. When Kaladin revealed the murder, he was shocked again, perhaps more so than when the stormwall hit. A murder, here? With Radiants and initiates all around? He supposed he shouldn't be as surprised as he was, but surely Honor himself wouldn't have granted powers to those who were undeserving, who would murder. Perhaps it was justified, or perhaps… Odium was here as well, and while Kintas didn't specifically fear him as an immediate threat, he knew full well that the Shard had murdered multiple other gods, on several other worlds. It was a mercy to the rest of the Cosmere that he'd been trapped here for millennia. Now, though, Kintas was here, in Odium's domain, and Honor was dead, though parts of him (many parts, but small ones) lived on. He didn't know what Cultivation was up to, but in his teachings before, Hoid had mentioned that he wanted to see the "old girl", and implied that she was still alive and kicking, holding off Odium for now. In his usual cryptic way, that was, so Kintas wasn't sure exactly what that meant. He knew enough about the Shards to not count her out, though, so he hoped he still had one powerful living ally, albeit one who wouldn't care about his existence personally. He made up his mind to keep his attention focused on the other initiates as best as he could. Perhaps visiting Ranatar and taking him up on the offer to learn about the Stormwardens would be a good start. Okay, so there's very little to go on of course, with just a ton of RP (love seeing it all, and Aman, yours is brilliant as always!), but I do like the strategies proposed yesterday, less because I'm particularly convinced by any, but because we've got a few different good approaches that different players can take, hopefully suiting their own strengths. I'm not going to reveal exactly what Kintas is doing, but I do want to explain how I'm going to handle RP vs discussion. Kintas is of course planning and watching, and if anything is said in his own thoughts, it will be truthful. Anything he says out loud to another player, however, is just what Kintas is saying, and he might be hiding the truth. The same goes for PMs, I don't promise complete honesty (mostly for my own protection), but I also won't lie just to lie. There will be a good purpose. I'll also just declare now that I'm among the Honorable, though of course no one has any reason to believe that now, but I hope if you examine my playstyle that while I'll have more RP here than some games, I'll be playing like I have when I'm village. Also, I'm more than happy to RP with others, like I have with Ranatar, and I'll provide some of your character's dialog if you permit, so just let me know.
  20. Pretty sure it was stated earlier that they'd get something along the lines of "Your action has failed", so yeah, it's not going to mask them and make them appear as something else. Drought, that definitely makes me wonder, but I can also buy the explanation since I've done that before. I don't like the bandwagon that popped up on El, but I also don't trust her specifically, so I dunno. Haven't had time yet to do the extra analysis I intended, but figured I'd share that much.
  21. I'll sign up if I die in either of the other games I'm in, maybe. This looks like tons of fun, though.
  22. Darn, we lose one of the already confirmed good players. I figured it would happen, but we'd gotten a decent run of new info, even though it was costing us villagers. This doesn't really tell us anything new. Joe, should I be grateful or annoyed to not even be on your list? As for the vote today, I'm waiting and will review my notes, but I will share my thoughts more when I get time.
  23. Remart snores into his pillow, which is actually a whole side of ham. He dreams of having a crossbow built into his metal leg.
  24. I tried that, but it's storming annoying because tags don't like to respond to changing the color. I just wish I could set the brown color on mobile. Kintas noticed the dark-skinned man who had brought Hoid to Dalinar (albeit in a roundabout way, unsurprisingly) as he watched the gathered men and women with a keen eye. He excused himself from Ranatar's pleasurable company and made his way over to him. "I noticed you seemed to be familiar with the…messenger that visited Dalinar a short time ago. Who was he?" Sigzil smiled wryly at Kintas. "I can't say I really know for sure. Around here, though, he's known as the King's Wit. Best not to try to understand him." Kintas nodded knowingly. "He always has been a mysterious one." Sigzil shot him a sharp look. "You know H..Wit? I saw the look he gave you, but I assumed it was just his usual mysterious charm." Kintas could hear the sarcasm clearly in the last words. He smiled back at the man, who was dressed in the uniform of Dalinar's guards, but was clearly more than just a soldier. "Indeed, though it's something of a long story. If I may hazard a guess, you are one of the Worldsingers, are you not?" Sigzil's eyes narrowed and he took a small step back unconsciously. "Who are you, and how did you know that? Have the other men talked to you about me?" Kintas put up his hands non-threateningly. "Not at all. I am also a Worldsinger, of a sort, and I know he has a tendency to recruit others with like interests. You know far more about Wit than most, I imagine, though you're right about not being able to understand him. He quite literally taught me everything I knew at one point, though we since parted ways. I believe I arrived here in much the same way he did, in fact. Perhaps I'll have a chance to tell you more about it sometime." Sigzil snorted. "I very much doubt you arrived here like him. Seems he swam right out of a pool, if my Horneater friend can be believed. I say he's just crazy and likes to make people think he's magic, but there is definitely more to him." Kintas smiled again. "A pool indeed, and one leading to other worlds. I would love to tell you of my world sometime, so you can sing of it as well, though I regret that I do not know actual songs about it. A poor kind of Worldsinger I am, but I do enjoy telling of other worlds. I don't tell many of this, since there are so few that would believe me, but I hoped that with your experience with Hoid, he would have let slip some information that leads you to believe me." The dark-skinned man had barely flinched at the name Hoid, but Kintas could tell it was familiar to him. His grip on his spear tightened, and he waited a bit before speaking. "I think perhaps we will need to speak of this, later. Away from other ears."
