  1. I know I've had a lot going on, and I leave tomorrow morning for a trip during which I'll have very low if any activity. There's always less to say at night anyways, and the holidays are likely taking a big toll.
  2. I suspect my activity level is a pretty poor fit for someone who would have been converted, and I'm obviously not the Seer. Maybe you should rethink that part... I'm going to side with Aman on the Araris lynch this cycle. Sorry, I don't have much to add to the reasoning, but I'm trusting his logic in this case. Plus it's Christmas and my brain is fried.
  3. Mailliw has now tried to trick me into revealing if I have a role via PM by pretending to know what it was and asking who I used it on, despite me never even mentioning having a role. That’s striking me as very suspicious. I’ll be keeping my vote for sure.
  4. I dunno, Mailliw appears to be playing an IKYK game with the Seer with that reveal, or rather with the village regardless of their alignment at the time, and I think that’s enough to consider a lynch. If I had more solid information on someone like a positive Seeker scan, sure, I’d go there, but for now I think I like the logic of this lynch.
  5. Doesn't give me a lot of reason to return, then, huh? Seriously, though, I was just dealing with computer trouble and a busy couple of days on top of that, which is why I wasn't really participating. I did read the thread on mobile during the last night cycle, but didn't feel I had anything to add at the time. I honestly don't have much to say now either other than to chime in on why there's no kill, and until (and if) we get information about why that might be the case, we can only speculate. I don't think it gives us a lot to go on regarding the identity or even activity levels of the Seer, though it's certainly possible they're an inactive or relatively inactive, but there's plenty of other possibilities that have been mentioned. I'd be fine with a no-lynch today honestly, except I know that's not going to happen since there's been votes already, so I'll consider who I feel is the best candidate for a lynch.
  6. The problem with discussing plans like this is that it makes it extremely clear what an Elim (in this case the Seer, and then any converts he makes) needs to do to disrupt the plan. There are sometimes plans that doesn't apply to, but rarely. And that's not really the main purpose of the thread. The thread is for voting, for voicing suspicions, and sharing information that should be public. Making plans publicly is just asking for disaster usually. Note that I don't think this makes those sharing the plans suspect necessarily, since usually it's just an ill-advised move by a villager, and in this cycle I would highly recommend we stick to no lynch, but I wanted to make sure I warned against it anyways.
  7. That type of plan relies on everyone not knowing it's happening. As it is, it'd be easy to just fake it and send out confusing messages but claim to just be a relayer and it ends up being useless. EDIT: Most plans are not helpful if talked about publicly. I would recommend anyone else with plans like this PM them to a few people instead of talking about them in the open.
  8. Some minor RP before we start! Remart scratched his head. He’d never gone bald before, and he wasn’t sure it agreed with him. Of course, that might be the fake tattoos. He’d been guaranteed they would last for the month he expected this job would take, and that they would be indistinguishable from real tattoos. They hadn’t mentioned the itching. He stepped out of the carriage, avoiding the desire to scratch at his head again. His wooden leg thumped as he climbed down, a replacement for this job to reduce suspicion. Hopefully, he’d been correctly informed that the sheath of thin silvery metal around the outside of his bendalloy metalmind inside the leg would hide its presence from an Inquisitor if needed. The mere presence of a metalmind would be enough to get him killed, but he relied on it too much now to give it up. Not needing to eat for months had saved him in previous jobs, and while it shouldn’t affect this one, he was admittedly getting a bit superstitious as well, and couldn’t bear the thought of working without it. The wooden leg was enough distraction. Well, that, and the itching...
  9. Cool. If I've got someone to play off of, it makes doing some RP easier, and I do miss it. Remart's a nice grouchy person to RP too, very cathartic.
  10. I'll sign up as Remart. No RP promises, as I've not been engaged enough in the last few games I've played. Is anyone else planning on doing extensive RP, though?
  11. Well done, @Wyrmhero! Loved the write ups! Congrats to the enemy, it was well played on your part, and Orlok, I’m a little annoyed at how you figured us out. That seriously was normal for me to use those terms, but the grouping of us all doing it was bad for us. Wish I could have been more on top of things, but that’s life.
  12. Um, why me? Are you still going on about the use of the word "Spiked"? Cause I do that. I use the GM's terms often for things like the Elim team or kills or whatever other mechanisms are around. Also, the whole "protect this person" just becomes a big IKYK situation, as you're well aware, and that's rarely actually helpful. I'm finding you more and more suspicious (as I probably always should, though you don't automatically set off my warning bells like some other players do), despite helping lynch (or was that bussing?) a Spiked player. This isn't even just a retaliation vote, which I try to avoid on principle as it doesn't actually help anyone, but you're making me very nervous about your plans, and you obviously have a large PM network going as well, which would be of great use to you if you're helping to drive mislynches and bad Coinshot kills. But please, at least share your reasons for lynching me, if it's not just what I responded to. I'd love to hear it.
  13. Gotta be C2 or F3, and I think C2 makes more sense for the clue.
  14. Who are you, Leviathan? I really wish people didn’t change names during games.
  15. Elendara? What prevented her (I think) from putting in the order that would have kept her alive, I wonder? That stinks, but hopefully we can work some connections from Meta's posts and find another Spiked soon. Also, Orlok, I honestly don't know where the support for me came from either. I'm not objecting, but I also wonder at the reasons. I hope no one's trying to set me up for something, though that's probably too paranoid. For now, I'm probably most suspicious of Badadah/Ark, partially because of Elandera's post (who is obviously now cleared, though that doesn't mean the suspicion was correct) and partly just a gut read from posts. Honestly, though, it's a lot of the same thing people could probably pin on me, of just not really making helpful posts and mostly just posting for an appearance of activity. I haven't paid attention as well as I should have to the earlier cycles though I've been doing a letter better the last cycle, but I felt this was worth going on. For Praise, I'll go with Araris, probably the most cleared living player.
  16. B3 could be Navani, or there’s the Windrunner glyph that’s tangentially related to the Kholins I suppose. Otherwise maybe the spheres?
  17. Do you have any more explanation than gut read? I'd like to respond (as I'm attempting to be more active), but there's not much I can do to respond to "gut read". Fair enough if that's truly all it is, but I'd like at least a chance of swaying your opinion. I currently don't see why Orlok is so highly to be praised, since he was going after Fifth it seemed, who is innocent, though I also don't think that makes Orlok look guiltier (just that he was wrong). I don't have a vote to place right now, but I promise to be back to place both votes later once I get a chance to form some better opinions.
  18. None at all, I'm reasonably certain E2 is indeed Hrathen. We should have an extra guess, do we have a clue we didn't finish guessing? Can't remember. EDIT: @Snipexe, that's an officially bolded guess.
  19. Ouch, not good. Not that I’ve been doing much analysis anyway, but no lynch means almost no information. I’m not even gonna promise to try combing through all that again to hunt for possible clues. Also, to whoever commented on me “thanking the doctor”, you can look through previous games if you wish. It’s something I do regularly regardless of alignment. That doesn’t mean it makes me look more clear, but it’s not an Elim tell either. It’s just a habit.
  20. I forgot about the burning pewter rule, I agree that that makes a WGG even less likely.
  21. Actually, (I checked the rules to be sure), a Lurcher can't save someone from the lynch. That would be a very powerful role anyways. Rioters or Soothers are the ones who could affect a lynch, and there certainly could be one of those on the Elim team. I wouldn't use that as a basis for clearing anyone specifically, even though I mostly agree on Elandera in this case.
  22. Ooh, nice job to whoever protected Elandera (or if you were somehow protected yourself, Elandera, myself having forgotten all the roles that may come into play, congrats)! That's a bonus for us, to have one fewer player down. Now, the big question is whether that means we can trust you or if there's a WGG going on, but I can't see that being overly likely at the moment. It just doesn't feel right, I didn't feel you had enough attention (or were inactive enough) for that tactic to be viable. I think I'm putting you on my trusted list for now (as far as I trust anyone in these games).
  23. Ok, I’m still on mobile, but I’m going to make an attempt. I read through the last cycle, but honestly I don’t get a lot to go on from Day 1 discussions most of the time, especially when the lynch target is village, so I can’t say I got anything notable from it. Instead, I’m going to be looking more at the current discussion. The big debate between Fifth and Orlok is interesting, but I find those most often seem to be between villagers, so while it doesn’t clear either, I don’t want to target either right now. I’m also always hesitant to lynch those driving discussion, though of course I don’t want to let that stop me from pursuing any legitimate suspicions. I just know I have a tendency to focus on the loudest voices and forget the rest. Steel made a good post that I get a relatively neutral read from, perhaps village. Furarionmind explained their absence like mine (though I think they were more active than I), and made a short post, I think also fairly neutral in tone and content. Vote counts are always helpful but can be an easy way to appear active, but it also just makes sense for a player catching up, so I don’t want to read anything into that. Ok, now here’s one standing out to me. i think i am here says they think one of Fifth or Orlok is Elim, but doesn’t go into a lot of detail, and doesn’t actually place a vote. I get a weird vibe when I see posts like that. i think i am here, care to explain more? And since I need a praise vote, Fifth Scholar since I’ve liked what I’ve seen and I don’t get an elim vibe particularly, as I said.
  24. Ack, sorry, I fell asleep and slept through the entire day. Not good, nor helpful in playing a game like this. I'll try to do better, sorry.
  25. Wow, sorry for my absence. I’m on mobile right now, so reading through the thread and voting will be tedious, but I’ll try to get on soon and fix that. Of note, I haven’t read my role pm yet so don’t read anything into my absence or this post.
