  1. Sorry for missing the vote, I fell somewhat ill yesterday and failed to remember to log in. And yeah, I've been participating less in most of the games I've played lately, for a variety of reasons. I'll try and be a little more consistent, though.
  2. I’ve been trying to form my own conclusions, and thus haven’t yet posted this cycle as I work through them. I still find Rand somewhat less likely to be Elim than not, and I also think that Cadmium is probably clean, as is Eternum, or rather Drake, freshly taken over for them, because of the recent voting, unless there was some hardcore bussing. Fifth I’m unsure on, going back and forth. Rath likewise, who has been coming up with theories of various sorts. I hate to kill someone contributing so much (especially when it’s a lot more than me), but we can’t let that stop us. I don’t think either of them are particularly strong candidates for a vote from me right now, though. Unfortunately, there are too many other players I don’t have as much on right now. I’m going to once again withhold my vote until the morning at least and see what I can find.
  3. @randuir, I honestly felt I was pretty likely half right at least, in thinking both were innocent. I’m not as sure still that it was an elim ploy, but if not, they’re surely enjoying the situation.
  4. I agree, that's not only ridiculous, but suspicious, although I would lean another direction. I think perhaps we're meant to believe Randuir is being saved by teammates, so that when you're lynched and come up clean, the focus changes to Rand, and then the Elims get another villager lynched as well. Clever misdirection if so, and when that happens, they won't look as suspicious since they obviously weren't just protecting a teammate. Except I'm onto it. If I'm right. What a mystery… I don't see Doc or HH making it quite that obvious, but @Rathmaskal is newer (unless you've just changed your name?) so I could see that spoiling it, and they posted after Doc and HH, which makes me think one of them is likely coordinating this ploy and is probably now a bit irked. This smells like a Doc plan to me, so I'm going to cast my vote there. And yes, I know, I can't prove any of this and it's very conspiracy theory-is, but it's the type of thing I'd want to try myself.
  5. Apologies for not being active as well. I’ve been reading the thread, but it’s been a really busy week and I haven’t been able to really form any reads worth acting on. I’ll consider the arguments I see here and decide if I can cast a vote with less potential damage than not casting one.
  6. @randuir, I missed your question earlier about D1 posts being NAI. Basically, I find that people jump on just about anything they can on D1, or else abstain and/or go random, knowing that few people will know who to go for. Elims don’t have to lay low and stay silent, though some do, and it’s easy to pass off strange comments as rule clarifications or being new, and in fact if played well that could potentially be a good way to proactively dispel some suspicion (adds to playbook). I’m getting into more detail than I had thought about originally, but essentially, people act in a wide variety of ways on D1, mostly just based on non-game reasons. What happens then sets the tone for D2 and forward, however, and from that point we can see deviations from a particular player. Picking anything out from D1 posts exclusively seems to always lead to incorrect results in my experience, though.
  7. Ouch. I didn’t help, I’m just sitting on my couch. I won’t put down my glass. Or get up off my... Sofa. ——— Seriously, though, I didn’t get to really have much of a part, and I hate day 1 lynches so I cant really fault what anyone said or did specifically in that Araris lynch originally, but while it’s bad we lost Buttercup right away, I am at least glad to see we’re not just going to get everyone revived, so we get some information going forward. Edit: I’m not arguing the value of a day 1 lynch, I’ve just noticed that the arguments and accusations people use rarely have any indication of their alignment, so it’s not helpful in a direct sense.
  8. Q wooked awound. Where was ewerybowdy? Thiiiss was a mysthery. He would have tho investhigathe. He wath going to hath to be wewwy wewwy caweful.
  9. Ugh. Gees, Steel, you're just really trying to make it tough for me to stay away, aren't ya. Ok, I'm in. Umm…I'll be Q. The mysterious mystery-loving mysterioso.
  10. I mentioned I had a LotR game in the works, but until just the other day, I hadn't done anything with it. It still has a good bit of work to go, but there's some mechanics here that fascinate me, and I want to put it out there for people to see (and hopefully get someone to give me a pass to run it since it's non-Sanderson). I'll adapt it to Sanderson if needed, but I've got an awesome story ready for it that I don't want to have to sacrifice. I may (probably) still add additional roles, items, and abilities, possibly including secret ones, and I haven't figured out yet if this will be able to be balanced well.
  11. Definitely sitting this one out, sorry. Didn't really get into the Kingkiller series, and I really don't have time.
  12. So awesome! This was an amazing game to jump into. I might should have just joined from the beginning, but honestly it might have been better this way, since we didn't have to just watch Kynedath either be inactive or drop out completely. Steel, you were great to work with, and @little wilson, sorry for interjecting my paranoia without cause at the end (not really sorry, but hey, it didn't make sense). I just can't help it.
  13. I know, I astound myself sometimes too. :-P
  14. That sounds like someone who’s been thinking through the reasons a lot, and is probably familiar with the real reason... sorry, Walin, but you’re kinda not helping yourself. Considering Walin didn’t actually take over for Joe, as @Kidpen pointed out, I kinda feel this makes it more likely. However, the more paranoid version of me also begins to wonder if Wilson is in fact our Jeskeri, in addition to being a Jindo, which would make a 4-player Jeskeri team perfectly reasonable and fairly well balanced. Of course, I think things like that all the time and it’s not based on evidence at this point, so I’m not acting on that paranoia yet. Walin is the better option for now, I believe.
  15. I have a good feeling about my fellow Elantrians, @Devotary of Spontaneity, so yeah, I kinda consider them allies. I’m always wary of course, but we’ve pretty openly discussed plans with each other in the Elantris PM and no one’s tried to do anything suspicious yet. I’m at least semi-confident there aren’t any Elims among the Elantrians, with the possible exception of Pyro, who is new there. I don’t particularly suspect them either, though.
  16. Yes, I caught it!
  17. I'm curious, but do you have some way to be sure of there only being one more Jeskeri? We can guess at distribution, but I haven't seen anything that would make it exceptionally likely that there's only one. There could be two, or possibly even three if there's something unaccounted for in the previous guesses.
  18. Assuming Aman remembered to give it back, you can gladly take Kintas’ Awakened rope, and any of his Medallions you like, with the exception of the one in use (it’s not really mine anyway).
  19. Hey, I’m free! And I’m all glowy. Ooh. I don’t have a lot to share, though. We were limiting how much we shared so no one (read: no one with a kill) would see us as a threat, until we could restore Elantris. We’ve been able to target outside for a few cycles, but I can’t say we discovered that much that isn’t already known. All we had was action or target scanning (separately), and we didn’t find anything yet that I think points to the Jeskeri or the Odiv.
  20. I would hesitate to nominate Orlok only because I know he’s had health troubles and has had a lot to do, though he’s an awesome player. Steel is an excellent choice, though, and so is Rae. Both are wonderful at RP, and the spirit of SE.
  21. Quintus glanced down at the small piece of metal in his hand. He’d used medallions before, though this was somewhat unique in taking the form of a pair of spectacles, or rather just the frame of them. Plenty of metal for storage if you knew how to use it, though. He’d never seen one quite like this before. It had been passed to him quite mysteriously, but authenticated at the highest levels and by sources he trusted. He was gaining something of a reputation, it seemed. The Human Kandra. He wasn’t sure if he should be flattered or put down by the nickname. After all, his ability was nowhere near as impressive as a kandra’s. He could merely affect his appearance in some ways, but not completely take on a new identity. Not take apart his body completely and recreate it. Although, if this medallion was what it claimed, he supposed he was getting one step closer. A man know as ANGUS had seen a threat he needed to address, Quintus had been told, and therefore had left this for the one he knew could take his place in the meantime. The pay would be substantial, in exchange for great risk. Risk that was mostly mitigated by...certain events in Quintus’ past, but some risk nevertheless. He brushed aside the worries and breathed. Not a Breath, sadly, but just to center himself. Fully prepared, he set his mind on changing himself with his mindset, and then Tapped the medallion. ANGUS stepped forward moments later. Short, portly, and ready for action. He slipped on his spectacles and glanced around, surprised to realize that he no longer thought of himself as Quintus. Tapping Identity while drawing on his Divine Breath has been far more effective than anticipated. He smiled. This should be fun. [br] For the record, while I’m available to step in for Kynedath, I haven’t received their role PM or anything, so this is simply a character intro. I shall attempt to be ANGUS for all intents and purposes, rather than Quintus, though some of him will likely slip through as well.
  22. I got hit by a Falcon Punch today.

    Literally.

    By an actual falcon.

Or maybe it was a hawk.

Felt like a koloss sucker-punched me in the back of the head.

    1. Sunbird

      Sunbird

:o Storms! Are you okay? Did its claws draw blood?

I'm fine. It didn't get me with its claws, so it just hurt for a while, but no blood.

  23. That reminds me, I’ve gotta finish the rules for my LotR game so I can convince someone it’s worth a pass. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
  24. Well done, Elims, and thanks for helping me out (and I didn’t know who was Elim or village until just the last cycle, actually). I played this role super passively, trusting in my ability to garner votes for...absolutely any reason possible, and it worked out. Other players would probably have taken a different tactic, but it’d have been a fun role for many players, I suspect. Great choice, @Elenion!
