Wasn’t she sketching cremlings a few times? I’d go for Yalb, Kabsal, and Cremlings. I don’t think she sketched Sadeas, and Rock is a maybe but I don’t remember her sketching him.

My vote would be for the Kandra game, personally. That sounds fascinating.

With some things in the works to help us, I’m going to go ahead and switch my vote from BR to Caesura. I’ll be honest, I’m mostly trusting Len’s analysis here, but that’s because I both feel I can trust him pretty safely, and because his logic has always been sound in other games, even if the odds didn’t play out. Either Monster or BR will be up next cycle, though.

Sorry, @BrightnessRadiant, but while I’ll look into Monster if you flip village, I can’t see an Elim making the particular play he did, by putting the analysis into identifying a group that included him that would be guaranteed to contain one or two Elims.

Long Game 42: Master of the House

Woohoo. Little annoyed Brightness is alive, but I think it’ll work out ok. Does anyone have a good reason to lynch anyone other than Brightness Radiant?

Wow, lots of action since I posted. No point leaving my vote on BR, unless of course Orlok is tricking us all. I don't completely trust Orlok either, since he's acknowledged he'll work with both sides, but of course neither do I want to lynch him unless he appears to be actively trying to keep us from winning. Elenion is acting very aggressive, true. That's also very normal for him. I don't find anything he's done to be particularly indicative of his alignment, and unusually, I'm finding my gut is telling me to trust him this time around. Only a little, true, but that's more than it's telling me for most. I find the bandwagon forming on him to be very frustrating, too, since it's not really suspicion based, just play style. I have gone back and forth on what has been said about Kynedath, but placing a retaliatory vote based on little other than the fact that Len accused you of being a liar is not a good villager play. Kynedath, you now have my vote for now, based on Len's logic laid out in his posts about the timeline of your arguments. He could be fooling me (it's been done before), but it lines up too neatly with things I've said and done as an Elim in previous games. Currently somewhat suspicious of Steel for jumping around on bandwagons, seemingly with good reason, but also not seeming to care who gets lynched as long as enough people will get behind it. Not a very subtle tactic, but that could be what he's going for. Devotary I'm not sure about, and as they pointed out, Caesura and Manukos are being remarkably unnoticed for the most part, so I would support a lynch on one of them depending on the results of this cycle, but probably not before next cycle. Here's the vote count as I figure it, including my vote change: BrightnessRadiant (0): Elenion, Jondesu MonsterMetroid (1): BrightnessRadiant Kynedath (2): Elenion, Jondesu Devotary of Spontaneity (0): Steeldancer Elenion (3): Steeldancer, Kynedath, Devotary of Spontaneity

I vote to pass turn. No sense taking a random guess.
-
Yep, I don't see any other options that would fit, @Totally_Not_A_Worldhopper. Want to make those official?
-
Ack, sorry, yall, I genuinely thought I had voted last time. It would have been on Budgie, though, for what it's worth. BR, sorry, but the analysis really only leaves you unless we've got some big glaring hole in our logic. I'm also wary of Len as always, as I said, but if you do turn up Elim, I'll mostly ignore your list, since it would be entirely intended to make people assume they're not Elims with you.

It’s entirely possible that both BR and Budgie are Elims, then. Those should probably be our next two lynches, but with that in mind, we need to be talking more about the next lynches and preparing rather than letting discussion stagnate. Elenion is always somewhat suspicious to me, but not as much as sometimes, which says a lot. Steel’s attack on me (and on Orlok) is misguided, but I don’t think he would have said that as an Elim, simply because it’s too aggressive and draws too much attention. Then again, it did feel like Elim logic, so I’m not sure. I’ll post again with some other ideas hopefully. No promises though.

Oops. I forgot to get back on and put in an action before the cycle ended, hence why I didn’t take anything. Actually, I was considering using my bucket or doing something else, but still...cycle wasted. Sorry. What the heck was that bandwagon on me all about? Because I took the acid, which was well and thoroughly explained prior to the bandwagon forming? Had Alv come up Elim I’d be suspicious. As it is, I’m mostly just annoyed and puzzled. That said, I could see there being an Elim or two hiding in a bandwagon like that potentially. I’ll focus on the suspects we have the most information about for now, though.

Rest up and I hope they fix whatever is going on, Orlok! Best wishes! At this point, I’m going to switch my vote to Alvron because I think he’s more likely than Orlok to be Elim. Eternum, Brightness Radiant, and Budgie would be my main focuses for the next lynch as of right now, though of course we’ll have new information by then.

I would consider switching my vote, but I don’t know that I think Orlok is the stronger candidate for the lynch. I’d probably vote for Alv first, but I’m not that suspicious of him either, so my preference would be BR or Eternum.

Yeah, that should be what it means from my reading of the rules. It's very useful for us. I suppose I'm willing to accept that could have been a genuine mistake. It sounds like the kind of mistake someone thinking as an Elim would make, though, so for now I'm leaving my vote.

I like the analysis that leads us to a 1/3 chance of hitting an Elim, and I think I agree with it (haven't and probably won't do my own version of it, so for now I'm trusting that those who did and those who agree are correct, until proven otherwise). This was a nice benefit we knew we might get, so it's good to see it worked out this first round. Much more information than we usually have to work with! Of those who are on that list, I have the most knowledge (which isn't saying much) of Orlok and Alv so far this game. Orlok PMd me, and seemed genuine, and also notably didn't make any attempt to fish for information. Granted, he's a good enough player to know not to do that, or to be subtle enough not to be caught, but I didn't get an Elim feel from that PM. Alv hasn't PMd me, so I only have what he's posted in the thread, but I don't know that I'm concerned about that like some others. He seems to be acting fairly normally. That leaves BrightnessRadiant, Budgie, Eternum, and MonsterMetroid. Metroid posted the first list of those names, and while if I were an Elim I would consider doing so in order to seem helpful and villager-y, it doesn't look like that, and I think he might have downplayed the chances of hitting an Elim (unless, of course, he knows that analysis is wrong because he knows what his teammates did and it's not what we expected, but that's getting too far into IKYK territory I think). If there's at least one and possibly two remaining Elims among the last three, my odds are good if I basically guess, and I'd rather hit someone who didn't explain low activity than someone with a valid and stated reason. So, Budgie or Eternum. I'm going to go with Eternum. He downplayed the importance of acid to the village, and I obviously disagree, having taken a bucket of acid myself (I find it very useful to have a roleblock ability to help me test suspicions of who may be an Elim, though it's far from perfect, and I don't think it's much more useful to the Elims than the village), and he only said he was busy, which is fine, but obviously he was able to post and could have submitted the kill. He might even have forgotten to post in the thread until then because he was having a conversation in, say, a doc?

@Drake Marshall, if that’s true, that is concerning, though knowing Steeldancer it’s very possibly part of a plan. It’s more than we usually get D1 (though in an IRL game I played last night, a Mafia member answered truthfully when I asked “Are you mafia?”, and we successfully lynched him first cycle). Sart (until next time) Steeldancer

I’ll just state publicly that I have no intentions of stating publicly what actions I will or will not take. It worries me to see the talk of grabbing the gun so openly, but I think I understand the reasoning there. Anything else should definitely be kept to yourself, and I wouldn’t suggest anyone else discuss whether they will or will not go for the gun now either. Further discussion of that won’t benefit the town. Also, I may switch my vote before the cycle ends, but I kinda like it where it is.

Elenion, good of you to respond (and with excellent RP as always). I do have a thought, however, about the best lynch target on the first day: Sart Kadal stepped out of the tent, looking angrier than ever. He ignored Mr Klenion, whose words he’d barely even understood. Instead, he shook his fist in the direction of the rest of the army, out of sight at the moment. ”Why, you bastards, why?” He knelt and scribbled our chalklings, mentally commanding them to find the commander who had left them to die, and at least nibble his toes a bit.

@Kynedath, I would find that position oddly contradictory and suspicious if I didn’t feel much the same way myself. That said, Day 1 lynches do usually need to happen, and this game isn’t an exception to that, so since it’ll be a shot in the dark, for now I’ll place a vote on Elenion. And since I feel like trying this game, I’ll even do it in RP form. Edit: I’ll also poke @Elenion, though I have no doubt he’ll be active. Kadal rifled through the camp supplies. “There’s meant to be more chalk, more acid, more...everything!” He thundered. His big frame began to strain and shake as he grew angrier. “Someone here has been stealing from the supplies, trying to make sure we don’t make it out of here alive. Mr Klenion, get over here and tell me to my face it wasn’t you!” His face wasn’t one anyone really enjoyed looking at on the best of days, but the shades of red and purple it was exhibiting now would have been almost artistic had his visage not been so bulbous.
