Yeah, it kinda feels like maybe just a mistake, but more likely a “mistake” they were hoping no one would care about. I’ll have to consider whether I find them more suspicious or higher priority than the others though. I said I’d vote Szeth out next before, but I have to make sure I’m still thinking that way. I’ll report back this cycle unless something keeps me from doing so IRL.

I hate to post without much to say, but I do want to chime in and say I think the reasoning on who the team is makes sense (vonne’s guess, that is). I don’t know that I’d be confident saying it just those three, and whether Mat is the 4th (despite my earlier suspicion, he hasn’t interacted a ton with Araris either to link or distance, and I feel the Elims often work to consciously distance from each other), but I like that initial 3 person team as a way to start eliminating them. I’ll vote for Araris next cycle if they survive and Szeth if not, just to go on record now. That’s assuming I survive, but I don’t know why the Elims would kill me when I still have a few people suspicious of me it seems.

No, I don’t think we’ve done that on this forum, and if so it’s not the norm, nor in this game’s rules.

I scanned Azmine, via RNG, but of course I went insane so I didn’t get any results… Please don’t waste another day trying to kill me. It’s wearisome and I’d rather we get some actual Elims.

Just to note, I will be taking an action tonight if anyone deigns to scan me. Not specifying here what action that will be, however…. Please don't all scan me, though, that'd be a huge waste.

Sorry ya’ll. Meant to claim the Silver Bones before the lynch ended, but got sick yesterday and slept most of the afternoon. Was meaning to try and save us from a wasted lynch. I’m very suspicious of the late votes on me now. The earlier ones I’ve expressed my feelings on, but piling on seems odd to me. I’ll read them over again and weigh in more later.

Wow, I’ve picked up another vote. I don’t know what to say to this one other than why? Please at least give your own reasoning. Otherwise I’m gonna be suspicious, or at least it comes across as lazy and unhelpful. Mat feels like he’s stretching to come up with reasons, but at least he gave some.

Yeah, sadly, my action as already announced got me nowhere. I doubt anyone was lucky enough but it’d be awesome if they were!

I remember at one point in my career here there was a discovery that if Elims were part of a vote train, they tended to be the second or third. Starting one is risky, but jumping on too late seems suspicious, so they try to be in the middle. I wonder if the same logic could apply here (validating your suspicions of Dannex and May if I read correctly).

Eh, I wouldn’t go that far. Elims like votes on townies, yes, but they like it even more when they can’t be blamed for it. There’s likely one Elim in the Random Bystander train, just by odds and numbers, but even that’s not guaranteed, and I wouldn’t think two or more jumped on specifically because some people assume like you do. Maybe that’s straying into an IKYK, but I don’t overly suspect the others who voted on Randby. Providing reasoning to build suspicion on someone else or simply remaining ambivalent is usually a better Elim strategy Day 1. As for me, I don’t regret it, though I would have been happier had we gotten an Elim of course. Wouldn’t have given us more information but it would have thinned their team. I assume no one discovered anything by Listening at the Door during the day cycle or we’d have heard by now, right? Just reviewing the rules and reminding myself what can be done.

Quinn, I actually agree with that reasoning, though I still think it would have been wise not to announce your plans in thread. Randby is a decent choice, I like an occasional Contribution Crusade, and while that reasoning could have killed me last game, it's better than nothing.

@Archer, I can genuinely say I hadn't really thought through…any of that. I've never been good at PMs in these games, though I do plan to utilize them here because they could be valuable, but I would also save you some time and say I haven't started any of my own yet, if you wanted to try and spy on mine. Your odds of hitting a successful match would be low at this stage, though I may well start some before the end of the round. Not having any PMs does seem a little odd on Quinn's part, though I'm not sure yet if that would be an Elim tactic or if they'd prefer to keep that type of information a little quieter.

Heh, that's how I always played. I just read the field and don't try to follow a set playstyle. In fact, if I'm an Elim, I tend to do my best to forget I am one whenever I post in the main thread, or PM anyone except another Elim (not that you're often PM'ing a fellow Elim since there's usually a doc, but there have been exceptions to that IIRC). If I spot any tells or trends you display, I'll be sure to… not tell you and sit on that information for my own benefit. Yeah, I don't know most of the players here either, and I didn't pick up on much my last game (the QF that just finished) because I was late and then mostly reading on mobile where it's harder to follow who says what. Hoping to fix that this game.
