Question--is there a WOB on surgebinder spren and singer forms?
Jondesu replied to GroundPetrel's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I’m personally of the hopeful opinion that bigger things are in store for Venli and the singers than she has now. Not just a Nahel Bond with a Regal form like she has now, or a mindless spren bond like the others will have, but some form of True Form that takes her further than they went in the past. -
I doubt any Windrunners had broken their oaths between BAM being contained and the Recreance. It wasn’t that long between those events I don’t think, on the scale of things, and Windrunners aren’t the type to break their oaths often. It took an unusual situation for Kaladin to almost break his and he recovered. The only known new Radiant to break their oaths is Shallan and she was both a child and a Lightweaver with a pretty much antithetical oath system.

Yup (no detail though): https://wob.coppermind.net/events/390/#e12688

I feel like he was specifically saying a fossil made in that way over that timeline though. Roshar simply isn’t as old as Yolen (the likely source of the fossil) or possibly other planets in the Cosmere, having been designed by Adolnasium. My guess is it’s about 15,000-20,000 years old. Old, but not old enough for those types of fossils to form.

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Jondesu replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Huh, we did have another Sheikah. Guess Archer simply didn’t have anything worth revealing, which makes sense since there were no other roles that conclusively outed any Yigas, but I do hope he had a trusted PM connection to pass info to, if that was possible. Tani is my highest suspicion for reasons others have mentioned. I could easily be swayed at this point, but I don’t see any reason to hold back right now either. -
Nah, Hoid’s set to be a major character in Mistborn Era 4, the Space Opera™.

I was assuming based on the Shard’s Intent. I suppose that’s not a guarantee.

Could you make a fabrial like yondu's arrow
Jondesu replied to SirFlapFla's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I mean, Navani basically did a very limited version of that with the dagger by accident. I’m sure eventually some form would be possible. -
I’m aware that this was posted before RoW was out, so understand this isn’t criticism, just updating now that I’ve seen this and read RoW. We now know that not only is the Sibling of both Honor and Cultivation, but creates it own Light (Towerlight) that is a mix of both Stormlight and Cultivation’s Light (Lifelight?, or is that yet another something?). I theorize that you were both right and wrong: the Sibling is an Avatar, but one created of two Shards, and probably intentionally (or should I say with Intent). They saw the creation of the Knights Radiant or of the Heralds (whenever Urithiru was created, I’m not certain on that timeline) and felt it was a momentous occasion that needed their love for each other to be shown off in a major way, just like sometimes humans will have a child because they want something of a culmination of their love. They worked together perhaps with the aid of a Bondsmith to create the Sibling by combining their Investiture along with a Spren or human/singer mind to be the basis of the Avatar that is now known as the Sibling.

Yep, Hoid explicitly says at one point that he would let Roshar burn if needed to keep Odium contained. I do wonder how much it any that changes with the change of Vessel.

That wasn’t the only 2:1 fight he won:

I specifically requested no PMs if you recall, and got my wish. None with anyone. I wouldn’t put any stock in Drake’s last analysis post. He’s just messing with us. There’s probably teammates and villagers thrown around willynilly in there. I do agree that Tani has been seeming just a bit suspicious for a bit now, not a lot but enough to maybe act on. -
What's going on with the lifespren near Lasting Integrity?
Jondesu replied to mdross81's topic in Cosmere Discussion
While he may be looking that direction, I doubt he seeing anywhere near far enough for anything to be affected by Nalthis. It’s a long ways off even in Shadesmar. I like the coral reef idea even if it’s somewhat less exciting than other possibilities. It’s organic. Literally. -
Kaladin already began this path back in Heartstone, though, when the wind swirled around him during the fight (IIRC, it’s been a while). I just finished RoW, btw, still recovering from the Sanderlanche. But Kaladin’s something beyond just his reputation and always has been. He was before Tien died, but then it began in earnest, really picking up steam as he starting really trying to protect. I think he just somehow storming embodies the Ideal of the Windrunners so much it can’t help but make him awesome.

I’m honestly not that hopeful we have another Sheikah in the first place, though it’d be nice. -

Gotta say, Drake, Dannex is a bit more trusted than you right now. Not that she(?) couldn’t be wrong, but I’m more willing to trust her source than your claim to be good. I did laugh a bit and feel bad for you reading last cycle. I saw posts saying if TUO flipped Elim you were confirmed Elim, and if TUO flipped village you were confirmed Elim. You couldn’t win. If you’re truly Elim I don’t care that you can’t win, but still, it was a little heartbreaking. -

Whoops, got distracted by RoW reading and forgot to get on for a while. Totally missed the TUO lynch. Too bad that didn’t work out well. I’ll try to keep up better. -

Because I have nothing else to do? I wasn’t asking you to actually share any results, and I realized after I posted that no results would clear anyone since it’s a role scan and not alignment scan, but I assure you it wasn’t asked in bad faith. -

Jondesu replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, that’s disappointing. I’ve read the thread, and I see a lot of disagreement with my reads, for a few different reasons, but I’m still fairly convinced. If I’d gotten on in time, however, I might have switched to Drake as I think the reasoning on them might have been slightly better than Stick, but that might be some hindsight talking too. I dunno. Anything to do this night cycle? @Dannex, guessing you didn’t get as juicy a scan result last round? -

Which means I can’t trust your reads. When have you correctly read me as Elim? And no, I won’t take your word for it. -

Lol, I’d love to hear that reasoning. I just read all of Illwei’s posts and most of Mat and Steel’s. I’m feeling the connection more and more. I think for now my vote goes on Steel, but honestly it’s a tossup. -
Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Jondesu replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It’s possible, I suppose, but if I were Illwei, I’d have been asking someone about a villager for a read. Too easy to start casting suspicion on a teammate without reason by bringing up their name. She might think differently, of course. Ngl, right now I’m sorta reading you/Illwei/Steel as teammates. Masterfully distancing if so, but totally believable to my cynical mind. I’m still not quite ready to cast a vote though.
