He linked it from there, but I'm pretty sure it was it's own thread. I tried using the search for 'illuminati', but it came up with every thread that random_illuminati has ever participated in. Glory to Rubix

Unfortunately I don't have the Mistborn adventure game rule book and I'd have to get up at midnight with the times you have on the site (I live in Australia), but I wish you luck.

I'm leaning towards Gregory being a Gryffindor at the moment, but I might change my mind. What are we going to do if something we have is obviously non-canon after the Cursed Child is released? Are we going to try and reconcile the two, or will the Cursed Child not be counted in the canon for the sake of the RP? Also, Honor, do you mind editing the OP with a link to the RP thread, and vice versa? It would help a lot. I'll also make a list of students so far, categorised by year, for the sake of clarity. NPC's that exist in the HP universe are also included: 1st Years: James Sirius Potter (Gryffindor) - NPC Eleanor Peaks (Gryffindor) - Master Elodin Chas End (Hufflepuff) - Chasmfiend Elizabeth Allred (Ravenclaw) - Mistrunner Lorelei Marchbanks (Slytherin) - Honor Spren Jarrad Thomas (?) - Voidus Gregory Halover (?) - Young Bard 2nd Years: 3rd Years: David Andrews (Slytherin) - Nashan'Elin 4th Years: Paloma Warren (Ravenclaw) - Honor Spren 5th Years: Shannon Davies (Slytherin)* - TwiLyght Michael (Ravenclaw) - Silverblade5 Victor Brzęczyszczykiewicz (Ravenclaw) - Mestiv Nax Isaac-Oscar (?) - Venture 6th Years: 7th Years: Teddy Lupin (Hufflepuff)** - NPC Paintings: Sir Higglesworth (Knight) - Voidus Daniel (Chicken) - Voidus 3 witches (Ravenclaw Witches) - Voidus Gilderoy Lockhart (Stuck up chullface) - Voidus Drakus Blod (Vampire) - Voidus Salamander (Salamander) - Voidus Other: Guide to Herbological Transfiguration (Book) - Voidus ??? (Suit of Armour) - Voidus Great Hall-Dungeons Staircase (Staircase) - Voidus * = Prefect **= Head Boy/Girl I might create a 6th year actually, just to fill out the ranks. I'll work on it now.

This is almost as good as the time Kipper joked about 'Illuminati confirmed' and Rubix trolled the storms out of him. I can't find the thread now, but it was one of the funniest things I've read on this site.

Gregory smiled smugly as his parents wandered back to the car, forlorn. Pulling his cat along behind him on a leash, fuming that his parents wouldn't let him have an owl (because that wouldn't have been normal), he strode up with his bags to the wall. A worm of doubt crossed his mind. That wall certainly seems solid. Quickly he grabbed a pebble he saw nearby, and lobbed it at the wall. Thankfully, it went through - and Gregory heard a resounding yelp on the other side of the wall. Probably serves them right, Gregory thought. Striding through, a new world seemed to open up before him. Inwardly, he was impressed - a whole world, in which the impossible happened everyday - but he was careful not to let it show. How ridiculous it would be to stand gawking. Instead he moved forward impatiently, ignoring the person glaring at the wall with a bruise on their head. Honestly, that person needed to get a grip on themselves. Immediately, he walked on board. After a quick scan through, however, it seemed like all the compartments already had people in them. Ridiculous. They have power beyond belief at their fingertips, and yet they don't even provide enough separate compartments for each of their own students! Sighing, he picked a spot, and sat down, rifling through his bag. "Are you sure you don't want to come into my compartment? I'm sure it's more comfortable than out here."

Based on a thought I just had: What would a wizard conspiracy theorist talk about? I created a character profile, then realized I had literally created a passive aggressive Luna Lovegood. --- Fun as that might be, I decided go with my earlier point of being, if not a villain, then at least an annoying character. Name: Gregory Halover House: TBD (He seems so Slytherinish, that I want to put him in anything but Slytherin to see what happens... Suggestions welcome) Age: 12 (1st year) Blood Status: Muggleborn, just to subvert the 'snobbish people are Purebloods' trope. I think I can pull it off. Other: Considers himself better because of... well, just about everything, but will probably attempt to use the fact that he's older than most people and a Muggleborn and therefore 'special' to hold himself aloof. Antisocial mainly because he doesn't consider any other mere mortal worth his time. The character who speaks at the end can be anybody, although it can just as easily be an NPC. Just a warning though - I intend to make my character as thoroughly obnoxious as I can possibly make him. Also, a prompt for one of the things I put in the RP (enjoy):

Can you add me to the PM, if possible? If the list is full and can't be made larger, then never mind, but I have read both books now. Also, what's the rule for talking about White Sand in the post- 3rd graphic novel release?

Morz won it already, unfortunately. I don't think you can win twice. I vote for Moogle.

Random Stuff VIII: The Admin Special
Young Bard replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
All short stories must highlight a problem with contemporary society. You mustn't tell the reader the point you're trying to make however, but instead must try to bamboozle them by talking about something completely different so that any meaning they take out of it will probably be completely different to the point you meant to make was anyway. I might have paraphrased slightly. There's more as well, but I'd stopped taking notes by this stage except for points I genuinely considered to be valid (which were few and far between, unfortunately).- 1963 replies

Personally, I think it's a should rather than a must. I read Warbreaker before WoR, but I didn't know what the Cosmere was and didn't pick up on the link until later.

It's annoying when you have to sit through a class in which the teacher has no idea what they're talking about and yet tries to pretend they do anyway. I just sat through a lesson in which the teacher essentially tried to feed us a formula for making a creative writing piece. You don't have a formula for creative writing! You can't say that this, this, and this must happen! If you limit it as severely as you do, then it stop's being creative writing. Particularly since in the last assignment task for creative writing, this same teacher marked it and I got full marks for that component, and I quite literally broke about every rule except one in that task. Then there's the elitism that popular fiction can't also count as 'true literature', which annoys me to no end.- 1963 replies

The middle row is missing one in between the 7 and 't'. I've added the extra line into the quote.

Went to Parliament House today as part of a Legal Excursion. Question Time was thoroughly entertaining. For the non-Australians and Brits, Question Time is probably the most rowdy aspect of Parliament. It's basically designed so that the Opposition has an opportunity to slander the Government and the Government has a chance to talk themselves up. Also, Sanders won Utah, which is nice. Trump and Clinton won Arizona, though.- 1963 replies

Sharder's Stalking Guide (a.k.a. Geo Tracking 2.0)

All right. Done. I mean, it's all official now right? If the 17th Shard map says you live there, you live there. Anything else is just a technicality. -

Yes, but TLR didn't make humans or mistwraiths. The Shards did. -

Can you give me the specific link to Yolen? I've taken a strong interest in it, and I want to know if he means either: - "It is unreachable from Shadesmar, but not for that reason." or else; - "It is may or may not be unreachable from Shadesmar, but if it were it would not be due to that reason." or even; - "It is not unreachable from Shadesmar. Talking about cognitive activity in relation to Shadesmar would be redundant." Is there another question which the questioner is aware of and I'm not?- 12 comments

If you count White Sand, then that's even before Elantris, and the first part is coming out in graphic novel form in June (or you can e-mail Brandon for the original prose version). If you count The Liar of Partinel, then that's the very first chronologically, and it's coming out in about 20 years or so. Apart from that, Onceler is right, apart from a short story he skipped over, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell, which is about the same time as Warbreaker (it was before Stormlight, however).
-
I got more of a siblings feel out of the relationship rather than a romantic one. Which, in it's own way, is just as tragic (and something Brandon would probably be much more likely to write in.)

Yeah. Nearby my house somewhere was "Surveillance_Van-2" for a couple years. I took a screenshot way back when, but I can't find it now.- 1963 replies

More stuff to look out for with your handwavium. I'd draw six separate maps, with arrows saying "Leads to (x)". I'm imagining that the inhabitants, assuming the cubic thing is common knowledge, would have names for each of the six faces, presumably based off it's environments/societies/species. When you say cubic, do you mean exactly cubic? Or is there a little wiggle room? For example, do you have any mountains beside the corners.
