  1. And does that make Gregory the Draco Malfoy of the story? Should I make a scene?
  2. You should all enjoy this. I found it while looking at Scottish stereotypes for my character in the Harry Potter RP. EDIT: There is strong language on a few of the maps, but you can scroll past them. The majority is relatively clean.
  3. Oops. That's what you get when you don't read a few posts back. Anyway... The Wheel
  4. I won't right now, seeing as I've got a busy period at school, but I'll have another look in the next free period I have. Thanks.
  5. I have a confession to make. I haven't deliberately sat down to watch a cartoon/anime/animated in about a dozen years or so. I've had Fullmetal Alchemist recommended to me by multiple friends, and my response has been "I intend to watch it when I get time."
  6. I was below 50% for everything. What are the odds? 47% Lightweaver 41% Elsecaller 30% Truthwatcher 29% Edgedancer 28% Dustbringer 28% Windrunner 21% Willshaper 12% Bondsmith 11% Stoneward 6% Skybreaker The one I was most surprised about was Windrunner. As someone who is strongly anti-authoritarian, I thought that I would get that far and away. But it seems like my philosophical/scholarly side trumped it by a long way.
  7. I went and had a look at MBI once and fled in fright at the sheer volume of information I'd have to take in to join in favour of smaller RP's. Also, you say that you've got an update for this every month... Do you have a rotating cycle of Around the Cosmere, so: RP's and Social Groups Theories and Coppermind SE, MBI, Strategy RP's ??? (Creator's Corner & Fan Fiction?)
  8. Talking of Time Travel RP's, I've come up with a very rough 3 laws system for one I'm hoping to run. Now all I need to do is get an alternate history off the ground, a set of rules for how the Universal Meridian (place where people go when they're moving from one place to another), and recruit enough people so that the whole thing will work. Has anyone seen any especially interesting solutions to the major time travel paradoxes that exist? Or other possible time travel shenanigans I can shamelessly rip off borrow?
  9. And pewter (Feruchemical pewter also stores strength/physical resilience, IIRC).
  10. Yes. Annoy Gregory. He'd hate that. Which means it would be incredibly entertaining. My 6th Year character: Name: Angus McWallace Age: 16 Blood Status: Scottish Pureblood House: Gryffindor? Other: Plays the bagpipes. And yes, I am mocking the hell out of the Scottish stereotypes. So sue me. I'm also thinking of RP'ing a part-leprechaun. I think I might be catching the Voidus disease...
  11. I think that the Meridian would be outside of time as we know it, but it's quite possible that it's governed by it's own laws of physics. Whether we want to make rules for it or leave it up to handwavium is everybody's choice I guess. A limited number of timehops is possible, but I'm sort of against the idea. Maybe this, but with a slow recharge (e.g. no more than 1 hop in 24 hours in-game) Forgery - it's possible, but it all depends on whether you believe in the Butterfly Effect. If you do, then basically anything you do would count as 'too big a change'.
  12. Oops. I forgot to include the link. Well, I've got a few vague ideas for what it could be like, but I've left large parts of it open to suggestion.
  13. Anyone interested in a Time Travel RP? Because Time Travel is awesome, and I haven't seen any other Time Travel RP's around here, which could be... very interesting. #blatantadvertising
  14. Gregory grimaced, but got up and wandered into the compartment, tugging his cat along behind him, brushing past the girl. Please, don't let them drag me into their conversation. Quickly, he grabbed a book out of his bag and started pretending to read. There. Surely they won't bother me now.
  15. Your wish is granted. Unfortunately, your aerial seems to pick up every channel perfectly, except when it flicks to yours, it only comes up with static and a vague outline of a dishwashing ad...
  16. In accepting that 'cookies' do not exist in the physical sense, and are merely referred to as part of an in-joke, I see no objection to referring to them/"offering them". Particularly since people can just as easily "refuse the offer" of a cookie and not take part in the in-joke.
  17. Honor or Elodin, I don't mind if you godmod (within reason) through conversations with Gregory here, because I don't think we're online at the same times and it would take ages to get through the conversation otherwise. Although, when Gregory isn't directly asked, I don't think he'll participate in the conversation beyond the occasional huff or snort at something he disapproves of (so basically anything). Also, just a note that it is canon that Headmistress McGonagall retires "sometime before 2017" because she was "getting on quite a bit". Just putting it there in case someone wants to make something of it. (I've been scouring the HP canon recently.) Also, what is Elodin going to do at the first Transfiguration class?
  18. I'd like to join. Here's my resume: In response to the prompt, I have two questions: 1. Define 'offer' 2. Are we considering the existence of the Dark Alley to be physically present in the 'real' world, or are we accepting the fact that it, and all of it's wares, are essentially fictional, and don't truthfully exist in the physical world.
  19. So, I'm thinking of becoming GM to a Time Travel RP for 6+ people, because there clearly aren't enough of them at the moment. In terms of rules/limitations to worldbuilding, I'm hoping to set out a '3 laws' rule to govern time travel, but I'm open to suggestion as to what they would be. Currently I have: 1. Time Travellers all pass through the Universal Meridian, the place that connects all times. - Meaning: To get from 1300 AD to 2016 AD, you pass through the 'Universal Meridian'. I might go into this a bit more when I work it out, but I'm open to suggestion. 2. All time travellers exchange equivalent matter with the time they travel into. - Meaning: Time Travellers is no longer a visit so much as an exchange. You will automatically be swapped in for whichever person is most like you physically in that time (which can make things quite awkward). Luckily for the person who's just been wrenched out of their lives, they're now in an era where it's easy to travel back. Except of course, another person (possibly the person that started the whole thing in the first place) will be wrenched to that time when the second person goes back. Also, if you travel into a time you've been before... you are most like yourself, so you will automatically replace yourself in that time. Complicated, much? 3. Something which prevents people from exploiting the major paradoxes. --- Also, if any of you are in favour of creating an alt. history based on the time travel laws, I am very much in support of the idea.
  20. Venture, what house is your character in?
  21. Hoid the Planeswalker: I think I made it a bit to hard to ever play the character, though. I might edit him later.
  22. Nothing. Maybe Rubix deleted it as part of one last laugh?
