    The problem being that Hoid is a master illusionist. He can make himself look like just about anything. For all we know, the description we currently believe to be the 'true' one might well be just another fake one.

    HOLIDAYS!!! 2 glorious weeks in which I can do whatever I like... so long as I prepare for my three exams immediately after... and the Drama essay, and the 2 English tasks, and the History thingo... and the bunch of homework the maths teacher gave me... and whatever my parents want me to do... BUSY PERIOD!!!

    That makes sense. I did mean to sort of do both. I was just trying to gauge what sort of reaction me pulling a trick out of the hat, in - well, a year sounds accurate - would cause. As for what the long term plan is, I have no idea yet. I don't think that far ahead.

    Should "WoB" be anywhere in the wiki? I'd always thought of it more as a colloquial term then an official one.

    *puts hand up guiltily* I've made this mistake... . Makes me wonder what else I've been spelling wrong. I seem to recall the partner of Demoux (can't recall her name at the moment)/ worldhopper being spelled incorrectly a lot.

    I approve of this ship. Actually, if Gregory's going to be the Draco of this school, then he might need some cronies, because 1 person is really not going to be a massive concern. I need to work out a scenario in which he gets a few. I think Gregory has the potential to become a bit more a long-term, big picture thinker. Why do you spend a few minutes making your enemy embarassed, when you can spend a couple months meticulously planning and (attempt to) get them expelled? Or, even better, both. Talking of which, I think this calls for a situation which gives him an enemy (I imagine this would be the Lorelei/Lizzy/Eleanor trio), which is a lot easier to manage.

    OK. I've done a tiny bit of planning, on and off, about organizations, characters, etc. I just need to connect a few dots, work out how I'm going to present the information seamlessly, hopefully find some way of getting people to look at it without breaking character, and I'm good to go. No pressure.

    I had a great teacher for Maths the past 2 years, and an OK teacher this year. My old teacher was a lot more informal, though, so it's been a bit of a change in dynamic. Objectively speaking, I'm curious to see what happens marks-wise.

    I think that's all decided now, and it's just a matter of implementing it. Chaos mentioned a date in the PM thread, but I'm not sure if he's OK with it being made public, beyond SoonTM.

    I think Chaos intends for it to be a system in which they don't need to do anything at all extra, though.

    Maybe... I'm not sure. I'll think of something else.... Umm... The meat is considered morally acceptable to eat in society. The cheese, however, was made for the personal use of the Pope, and as you eat your sandwich, there are a horde of angry fanatic Christians who are descending on your house. Apologies to any Christians on the board. The first thing that entered my head was "Cheese owned by some important person." ... And, well, the Pope fit the bill.

    You receive the sandwich. It is wrapped with an indestructible material that means you can't ever eat it, only stare at it. Mark IV posted a wish, so go with that.

    I can't be bothered thinking up a joke now, but I'll point out to the next person that only each individual word can't negatively affect his sanity, not groups of words, phrases, etc. Or, it could be something which causes a non-supernatural phenomenon around his location.

    Sad to hear it. I think I speak for all of us when I say that you're a prominent member of the community that a lot of people on the Shard look up to. Good luck with your new job.

    The 'perfect wish for me' is created. However, it is not given to you, but to the genie himself instead. --- I wish for a robot. The robot must follow the 3 laws of Asimov: The robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. The robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. The robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. In the event of a clash, the robot must obey the law of most importance, and not breakdown, crash or malfunction in any way. In procuring or using the robot, no negative effects can occur to me, another person, or the environment around me or the robot. The robot must be functional, in a condition that is safe and pleasant for a human to interact with. An exception to the second law is that any order which is made by another person that disadvantages me in any way, including the loss of the robot as a fuctional, safe and pleasant tool, must be discarded. The robot must not deliberately cause frustration on my behalf. If another person and I both ask the robot to perform a task, my task will take precedence. The robot must be of equal size, shape and weight to an average human. The robot must be delivered instantaneously, to the nearest spot to me on firm ground that does not place me at a disadvantage or in danger. The robot must be indestructible. The robot must be sufficiently prepared upon arrival that it can start following commands immediately.

    I just worked out why all the times are an hour out of sync. Daylight savings. 'Scuse me while I try to remember how I set the times to Australian last time...

    My maths teacher for the last two years had a tradition of putting on a 'so bad it's good' movie on the last day of term. One of them was Sharknado 2. Apparently, another class had to endure a double of "Ninja Zombies". According to my teacher, it's worse than it sounds, and it sounds pretty bad, so... fun.

    Well, he announced that he intends to return to the world of Alagaesia, but I think he intends for it to be a new cast, new everything. Whether it's a prequel or sequel is yet to be seen.
