  1. ... Is Canada that bad? Anyway, my plan: 1. Build a giant pit around my house. Have a rope on my side that I can throw across if I want/need to cross. 2. Collect food when I need it, but otherwise stay in my protected spot (going out isn't that dangerous, because zombies move at about the same pace as your average turtle, so I'm not worried.) 2. Amass lots and lots of undead zombies in the pit. (Because your average zombie has about -3 IQ, so they just walk in trying to get to you.) 3. Wait for someone to invent a zombie-controlling apparatus (or else just invent one myself). 4. INSTANT ARMY!
  2. R+++ Rated (also, I didn't notice that nearly all of you are SE players. Interesting... I'm assuming this is a coincidence.)
  3. But how did you know that Aman wouldn't speak out against you? Surely, if you believed Aman to be a villager (which you seem to imply), then he would have spoken against what you said, and so condemned you anyway? I'll keep my vote on you for now. Aman, technically you're still alive and you've got nothing to lose, what's you version of what happened on the Taldain PM?
  4. In my experience, any Taylor Swift is too much Taylor Swift. (Sorry. I've never liked her, and I'm quite sleep deprived at the moment. I should probably go to bed.) That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to adding in some meta references to pop culture. EDIT: I just got the strange vision of a kid playing Blank Space to the Sorting Hat, to see how it would react. And the Sorting Hat, being 1000 years old or so, just muttering under his brim and saying "Kids these days..."
  5. Hmmm... I'll work on it this weekend. It might take a little while, though.
  6. You can only poison one person at a time. I think he's useless now (the only extra thing he can do now is cast one vote, which won't do much against all of us) - we can get to him after we deal with the genuinely dangerous threats (Hoid / Arraenae and Odium). Hoid can vote manipulate, and likely has another vote manipulator on the team if Day 2's events are anything to go by. And Odium... well, he's already Shattered one Shard. I'd still like to hear what Burnt has to say for herself. I don't think I've seen her respond to the allegation yet, even though she's been online since Nyali made her allegation.
  7. What about the Sorting Hat Song? We should probably have that first. We can always say that Victor's first as an exchange student, but we'll need to work out the alphabetical order of the names of the first-years after that. Also, Eleanor and Company are preparing a scene. We're working out details, though.
  8. To prevent another vote-manip lynch tie next day turn, I think we all need to agree on either Arraenae or Amanuensis (or Burnt is another potential, now) to vote on. Personally, I'm leaning towards Arraenae, because I think she's Hoid, but I would be interested in hearing what others have to say. Reasons for - she's one of the 10 possible Hoids, there was quite clearly an organized attempt to save her (most likely from the Shard), people have noticed her acting suspiciously, and a lack of much counter-evidence. Reasons against - Slight chance of innocence, Burnt (Odium's Champion) might be more immediately threatening.
  9. Yeah, it's not my favorite play ever. I tried to nominate an Oscar Wilde play, but this won.
  10. I just got back from performing in the school play. I don't know if any of you have ever seen/read/studied Our Town by Thornton Wilder, but I was a character called Simon Stimson.
  11. Arraenae, I find you and Aman most suspicious out of all of you here, and Aman isn't here to defend himself. Your posts seem a little off to me compared with everyone else's. In addition, you're one of the 10 that could be Hoid. (or is it eleven? That list seems to have an extra name on it. I'll cross reference the old list in a minute.) You defended Lopen's vote on Aman, maybe to encourage more votes on someone who wasn't here to defend themselves. In your words, 'This game is long enough for people to have ample time to respond, and I doubt Lopen will be particularly gung-ho about lynching Aman today if he's not able to come back and defend himself.' By the same token, couldn't you hold off voting on him until he's back, so you know he'll be able to respond?
  12. Being in Sanderson Elimination is taking up a lot more of my time than I thought it would. I imagine it will get easier once the numbers are thinned down a bit, though. I have no idea how much time and effort Seonid is putting into all of this. I'm enjoying it, and look forward to seeing what happens next, but next time, I might sign up to do one in the holidays or something.
  13. Well, that escalated quickly... Nyali, I hope there are no hard feelings. Sorry, Trelagist. I don't have time to respond to accusations against me until after turnover. I'll work something out when I get home. Mark IV (1): Araris Valerian Mailliw73 (1): Conquestor Amanuensis (3): phattemer, The Mighty Lopen, Elbereth The Young Bard (2): Paranoid King, leiftinspace Trelagist (5): Nyali, DeathClutch19, cloudjumper, Mailliw73, The Young Bard Deathclutch19 (1): AliasSheep cloudjumper (1): Amanuensis
  14. Okay, I've heard several theories about this, so I'd like to compile them here. So far I've seen: The Sun is Autonomy (i.e. the consciousness of the Shard is there) The Sun is a Shard that's not Autonomy (i.e. the consciousness of the Shard is there) The Sun is a Perpendicularity. (Personally, I'm strongly against this theory - what would be the point in coming out of the Cognitive Realm into the heart of a blazing sun?) I'll provide reasons for and against each when I have time. In the meantime, have any of you got plausible theories or input?
  15. Well, that's interesting. Guess they solved that one in their own way. EDIT: Vote tally so far: (3) Mark IV: DeathClutch19, Amanuensis, Conquestor (1) Amanuensis: Young Bard, (1) leiftinspace: AliasSheep, (1) AliasSheep: leiftinspace, (1) Conquestor: Mark IV, (1) The Mighty Lopen: The Only Joe, (1) The Only Joe: The Mighty Lopen, EDIT 2: Fixed mistake in which Conquestor voted twice in the tally. Conquester, do you mind rescinding old votes in green next time?
  16. Sorry everyone, I didn't have time to post this morning, before I left for a drama rehearsal. Just like you, I'm trying to suss out who's on what side, but no luck so far. I'm curious why Aman is so active in all of this... He seems to be going above and beyond what most others are doing (I'll check other LG's he's been in to see if that's normal for him.) Also, if this is a thing, Devotion, do you mind adding me to a PM or two? Thanks.
  17. Well, it wasn't May or August, and he'd have to be a ridiculously advanced reader to read WoK below the age of, say 10, so that leaves:
  18. This has to be a typo then. The only Friday the 13th in '99 was in August. Unless you were born in 1899...
  19. You have 2 hours left. *cue dramatic music*
