  1. The disc you're thinking of is the Mario Kart Double Dash Bonus Disc, most notable for giving the player Thor's Ire and a Silver Card. Interestingly, Boots are not one of the stat boosting items it gives you, hah. Supports, I felt, are most notable in that game's engine (and FE8's), considering I've never noticed their presence in other games until FE13 after that. Boosting various stats (which depended on the affinities of the two characters involved), the characters would get that bonus when within three spaces of the partner. The most notable boosts are the Accuracy, Avoid, Crit, and Crit Evade bonuses, being incredibly valuable when applied to units that already get high Crit stats (Berserker, Sniper). It was insane. For example, here's my two favorite Support Pairs: Hector + Oswin A Rank Support Boost = Attack (STR and MAG) +1, Defence (DEF and RES) +3, Avoid +15, Critical +7, Critical Evade +15 Of major note here is that +3 DEF and +15 Avoid. Talk about making walls even more wall like. Rebecca + Dart A Rank Support Boost = Attack (STR and MAG) +3, Accuracy +15, Avoid +15, Critical +15 All four of these boosts are incredibly important due to Rebecca being a Sniper and Dart being a Berserker. The Accuracy boost all but ensures that the pair will always hit, the Avoid boost really helps them stay healthy (mainly Rebecca since Dart's HP is huge), and the Crit boost stacks on top of the class boost they get for a total of +30, which mean's they'll be crit-ing constantly. The Attack boost then increases their damage, which just makes their crits do even more damage (crits in FE are 3x normal damage). These two are deadly together. Anyways, there's a ramble about a topic you probably don't care much about anymore (FE7 is in my top 5 games of all time, and my favorite of all FE).
  2. On Legends, I'm enjoying it, and I tend to laugh out loud mutliple times each episode, but the show is only this good because it's using characters which it assumes the viewer is already familiar with. It's like a second book, because the lack of introductions allows the story and character interactions to begin immediately. This is also why the first episode is by far my least favorite, because they shoe horned a very basic intro for every character. But when Sara talks about her death experience, it's something that the show doesn't bother to retell, because it assumes you've seen Arrow. So if the show were to have introduced 8 new heroes along with having this script, it would not be good at all. The fact that it doesn't have to do so makes it good. Though with that said, my dad has been enjoying it, and he hasn't seen any of Arrow or Flash yet. I have had to pause at least once every episode to explain things to him though.
  3. That would be FE7, Blazing Sword. Since you only get one set of Boots in that game, but it boosts your movement by 2 rather than one, I always gave it to Oswin so he could keep up with Hector, his go-to A support buddy. Those two were a wall when next to each other.
  4. Oops, I missed that part because it was after the anime comment. I'll remove repeats too, and I've also used every new Kalos family prior to picking Pokemon of previous generations that happened to be in the Kalos Dex. My apologies. Here you go: Normal - Litleo, Fletchling, Furfrou Grass - Chesnaught, Gogoat, Venasaur Fire - Delphox, Volcanion, Charizard Water - Greninja, Clawitzer, Wailord Electric - Helioptile, Dedenne, Pikachu Flying - Hawlucha, Pidgeot, Honchkrow Ice - Aurorus, Bergmite, Cryogonal Ground - Diggersby, Zygarde, Mamoswine (there were only 2 new Ground types in Gen VI) Rock - Tyrunt, Barbacle, Diancie Bug - Scatterbug, Ariados, Scolipede Fighting - Pancham, Mienfoo, Meditite Poison - Skrelp, Shedinja, Weedle (there were only 2 new Poison types in Gen VI) Psychic - Espurr, Hoopa, Mr. Mime Dark - Inkay, Yveltal, Scrafty Ghost - Pumpkaboo, Trevenant, Aegislash Dragon - Goodra, Noivern, Kingdra Steel - Klefki, Carbink, Aggron Fairy - Florges, Sylveon, Aromatisse To be honest, it was the non-Kalos Pokemon that were harder to come up with. Anyways, since it's been the weekend, here's the answer to my question as well: Full list of badges: Boulder Badge Cascade Badge Thunder Badge Rainbow Badge Soul Badge Marsh Badge Volcano Badge Earth Badge The ones that Gary did not have: Thunder Badge Soul Badge Marsh Badge Volcano Badge Earth Badge WLIU, name 10 Summon Spirits that appear in the Tales of series of video games.
  5. I don't think absorbing KE is necessary. Given his perfect control of the fields in 3D space, he'll be capable of doing all those things with practice as his powers are described now. Plus we've already got a KE absorbing force field user over in the Dalles.
  6. All right, so with last night's episode of Legends, there was a major reveal that I am truly puzzled on. No, it's not that ending: Season 1 Flash spoilers, as well as Legends spoilers: Which it is, I don't know. But it sure is curious.
  7. Excellent! For note, it's not spelled Shankuamon, it's Shakoumon (pronounced Sh-uh-koo-oh-mon). Also, fun fact, Gatomon has a second Mega - Ophanimon. I was gonna ask if you wanted new Pokemon introduced in Gen VI or just new Pokemon the Kalos Dex, but as I thought about it I realized that there aren't three new Ground or Poison types, so you must just want the Kalos Dex. Normal - Litleo, Pyroar, Fletchling Grass - Chespin, Quilladin, Chesnaught Fire - Fennekin, Braixen, Delphox Water - Froakie, Frogadier, Greninja Electric - Helioptile, Heliolisk, Dedenne Flying - Talonflame, Hawlucha, Fletchinder Ice - Aurorus, Bergmite, Avalugg Ground - Diggersby, Zygarde, Mamoswine (there were only 2 new Ground types in Gen VI) Rock - Tyrunt, Amaura, Aurorus Bug - Scatterbug, Spewpa, Vivillion Fighting - Pancham, Pangoro, Chesnaught Poison - Skrelp, Dragalge, Weedle (there were only 2 new Poison types in Gen VI) Psychic - Espurr, Meowstick, Delphox Dark - Pangoro, Greninja, Inkay Ghost - Pumpkaboo, Trevenant, Aegislash Dragon - Goodra, Tyrantrum, Noivern Steel - Klefki, Aegislash, Carbink Fairy - Florges, Sylveon, Klefki WLIU, Name the Gym badges from Gen I of Pokemon that Gary Oak, in the anime, did not get. if you recall, in the anime Gary taunts Ash for only getting 8 badges, when he had gotten 10. That said, of his ten, only a few matched any of the eight Ash got. This scene was very short, so I presume this is a very tough question. Good luck! Hint: Two of the badges that do match up, removing them from the answers, are the Boulder and Cascade badges. Also sorry to those regulars who don't partake much in these fandoms...
  8. Don't get me wrong. I'm the same way with everything except the boots. Those things are invaluable, helping my Generals not fall behind with their lousy 5 movement when every other promote is moving 6-8. Or, as it is in Fates, helping my units that don't promote to anything gain some movement to keep up with those that do (specifically Songstress, because what's the point of a dancer if she can't reach my units ever?). Otherwise, I'm right there with you.
  9. Well, it's been a couple of days so here's the answer: Agumon -> Greymon -> MetalGreymon Gabumon -> Garurumon -> WereGarurumon Palmon -> Togemon -> Lilymon Biyomon -> Birdramon -> Garoudamon Tentomon -> Kabuterimon -> MegaKabuterimon Gomamon -> Ikakumon -> Zudomon Patamon -> Angemon -> MagnaAngemon Salamon -> Gatomon -> Angewomon I suspect the other hard ones that I hadn't already given were Salamon and Zudomon. I'll stay on Digimon for one more question, as a celebration of the 15 year anniversary of the anime. Name all the digivolutions for the 6 digidestined in season 2 of the anime corresponding to the following ranks: Armor, Champion, and DNA (plus the DNA digivolutions and form changes). This amounts to 21 total digimon. For reference, here's the Rookies: Veemon Armadillomon Hawkmon Wormmon Patamon Salamon Hint: Two of your answers were answers to the previous question.
  10. Your force fields would not be a PI if they don't pop up automatically to save you from a surprise attack. Questions: 1) What all can pass through his fields? 2) How thick are they? Bubbles, for example, aren't thick at all, just impenetrable, but you say you can form blades out of them, so I'm curious. 3) You say he can coat himself in a field and, assuming he uses mental control, he can make himself faster and even fly. How fast can he make them move? You'll want to be careful with this, because moving too fast and stopping too quickly will make him go splat in his own shields. Acceleration is a dangerous thing.
  11. I'm actually on Hoshido right now, should be finishing up tonight to start Nohr over the weekend. That said, Effie's a Knight, so she should be slow. If you're wanting to increase her range, and you plan on buying the other two paths, do so before finishing Nohr if it's possible (I've got the SE, so I have no idea what the limitations are). Doing so will give you access to 2 boots, which increase movement by 1. Knight's tend to have 4 or 5 movement, and classing them into Generals doesn't improve this, so using boots on them tends to make their movement a bit more bearable. If you plan to do this, you can find the Boots in the crystal ball under Bonuses. I can't remember off the top of my head if it gives you the boots after buying just one other pathway, or if you need all three, but you do get rewards by owning two, and then all three.
  12. Corrin actually isn't all that OP. Don't get me wrong, he ain't bad, but mine's turned out slightly better than par. Other units are definitely better.
  13. There's 2 Knights (3 if you pick Knight for the avatar's second class), without counting potential class changing after marriages. Both are on the Nohr side (Conquest). Hoshido (Birthright) is pretty much completely reliant on dodges, as there's two or three units with good DEF.
  14. David's kill count is no where near the levels either of you suggested...No, saying David is OP would be like saying an MLG CoD player is as OP as an actual war veteran.
  15. The filter doesn't recognize the profanity when combined with other words. So BadA- isn't recognized, but A- is, and will be turned to chull. Yes, some Sharder, like myself, do just go straight for the Sanderson profanity, and it isn't the word filter.
  16. I was wondering what GOOD is up to, and if it would make more sense for a collab between Comatose, you, and myself? I've got a feeling we'll need to collab with Mestiv as well when that time comes.
  17. That was my play style too, relying mostly on dodging and a fast offensive presence to avoid taking damage. The doesn't work half as well as it used to in FE14 thanks to the removal of True Hit.
  18. I understand the mythological origins behind the weakness, but did Steel really need to have offensive power, is more my point. That said, them removing the resistances to Ghost and Dark, though they upset me to this day, does significantly weaken Steels given how popular Knock Off and Shadow Ball are. My thing with Rock is that in real life rocks are the ground. They aren't separate. So in the game I'm not miffed that when separating the two they only gave one the immunity. It just so happened that in Gen I nearly all the Rock types were also Ground type. One of the problems I have is the lack of quality Ice types. And I don't really count the Water/Ice dual types because people just target the Water side with electric moves. I want some high quality Ice types, dangit!
  19. I'm not sure if we should turn this into a Pokemon discussion, but I'm always happy discussing it. When Fairy was made, in addition to attempting to balance the strongest type and two of the weakest, they were also trying to fill the type that is most asked for: Light. Don't ask me why Light type is the most asked for, but it's been requested constantly ever since Gen II brought us Dark (which in Japanese is literally called "Evil"). Now, you can't just have Evil beat Light, or even tie Light, so it was only natural for Fairy to be super effective against Dark, regardless of whether Dark needed another weakness or not. I'm still, to this day, surprised they gave Steel the advantage over Fairy. Steel is the troll type (have you seen those pre-Gen VI resistances), so to give it some heavy offensive power was shocking to me. Poison definitely needed it though. I also don't think Electric needs another weakness. It's not a particularly good type to begin with, plus it's lacking in good Pokemon both offensively AND defensively, and it suffers from having one of the most common types ever be completely immune to it on top of super effective. Not to mention the single most popular move in the game, Earthquake, is of said type. It's a weak type that doesn't see much use, and works much better as a non-STAB add on to non-Electric Pokemon. I mean, the only heavily used Electrics are Legendaries or Rotom, and you can't really include Legendaries in these kinds of discussions if you ask me.
  20. He sounds really fun. My biggest issue is his age. Do we have rules, canon or our own, regarding Epic age? 9 seems rather low to me, considering I don't recall meeting an Epic that young from any source.
  21. Keep in mind you can steamroll all of the Pokemon games if you put everything into a single Pokemon. Some games (particularly the older ones) would even accommodate two or three. But the levels of broken of the Fairy type isn't much debatable, so you picked well with Sylveon.
  22. I mean, I know it. I'll give you some of the hardest ones, as they don't get used much: Garoudamon Lillymon MagnaAngemon That still leaves 21 others though.
  23. To quickly comment on the difficulty of Gen VI Pokemon, there's actually a "Hard mode" in the game if you want it, and you can always turn off the EXP Share to increase the difficulty as well, plus the obvious mode change to Set instead of Switch. The game was only crazy easy if you let it be. Note: Hard mode is in quotations because the difficulty isn't drastically harder, but the AI tends to be smarter. It is an actual option though, and not something like a Nuzlock challenge. Edit 2: Looking further into it, I was wrong. Hard mode was in Gen V.5, and not Gen VI. My apologies. Still, though, turning the EXP Share off is a drastic difficulty increase.
  24. "Jumpdrive?!" Her voice echoed in the hall for the briefest of moments before a small crashing sound, followed by the Epic's voice crying out, "Buttercup! Here. Quick!" The noise had come from the next room over. Her eyes darted down the hall to find the door a good 20 feet away. That'll take too long. She turned her head to look at the wall directly in front of her, and sucked in air. She burst forward, crashing in, and then through, the wall. She could feel the wall give way as she passed through, but she also slammed through something a bit more sturdy. Sparks, she thought as she took out the support beam, That is not going to end well. Mid jump, fully through the wall, Buttercup opened her eyes, dust and wood filling the air, and two ghouls were gearing up to attack Jumpdrive. Making use of her momentum, she kept her flight alive until her fist rocketed into a ghoul, its skull crunching as its body soared into the opposite wall, blasting through it. Buttercup's eyes immediately fell on the missing support beam that the thing had no doubt taken out. "Now that's just bad-" The ceiling collapsed. She glanced over to Jumpdrive as his Prime Invincibility activated. How she wished she had received one of those. Alas, she had not, and so she threw herself to the ground, covering her head and heart as best she could with her body. She could heal from anything other than a fatal injury to her heart or brain. It all happened in the span of only a few seconds, and the moment Buttercup stopped feeling the weight of new objects landing on her, she burst up from her prone position. A sharp twinge brought her attention to a piece of wood impaling her right leg. Grimacing, she yanked it out, holding the bloody thing as she noticed the other ghoul dead beneath the rubble. Turning to look to Jumpdrive, she noticed a large hole in the floor. Flying down, she couldn't see the Epic, but did see another few ghouls approaching the wreckage. Setting to work, dispatching them was quick. As she planted her foot in the last one's jaw, movement behind her notified her of Jumpdrive's presence. She opened her mouth to apologize for the ceiling collapsing, but the man was blabbering. Something about a man named Michael, then a library, and then Jumpdrive just started walking away. Buttercup just watched him walk away for a brief moment. "No...problem?" she said to no one in particular before notifying some of the security force of the conflict, then taking flight. Checking for messages from Broadcast during the trip, she saw that Kenshin had agreed to help. Good. The flight didn't take long, and as Buttercup landed she noted how the mess from that morning was essentially nonexistent, most of the security force gone, leaving GOOD's helpers to their cleaning. Further inspection showed that GOOD herself was not around. Buttercup let out a sigh of relief as she approached Kenshin's home, knocking on the front door.
  25. I still wouldn't say they fixed the issue, they merely toned it down a lot. As a result of the changes, the game heavily favors the Defensive Stance (pair up) over the Attack Stance (adjacent spaces). This favoring is due to a few things, but the main one is that they removed the True Hit system without adjusting anything else. As a result, I would say this is the most defensive FE to date. Also, I'm not big on FF. I tried the one my friends agreed was the best (FF6), and our gaming tastes are very similar, and didn't like it at all. I'm a Tales guy, through and through.
