  1. why would he just make them a bit resistant, why not make them totally immune, if you're going to be tweaking and all.
  2. haha, I like that idea.
  3. heavy things don't fall faster then light things, counter-intuitive but true. Also he Pushed on some stuff below to slow them down.
  4. I'm picturing Cultivation poking homeless people with a rake and telling them to shape up and improve themselves. And then putting them to work on her farm.
  5. Well presumably he's getting some tiny amount of power, probably allomantic power, from it, but of course, he doesn't know how that works.......
  6. I don't think the two reasons to follow someone are mutually exclusive, therefore I don't think the Shards are as opposite as R&P.
  7. In the first Interlude I believe.
  8. actually that's not true, Wax drops himself and Marasi out of one of Wayne's bubbles at one point and nothing bad happens to them.
  9. I think Kell wasn't really fully connected to the Shard and let go of what connection he did have as soon as Vin was able to take it.
  10. Chaos will spike you no matter what you do. It's what he does.
  11. I think Sazed probably just made it so snapping doesn't require getting the crap beat out of you or similar nastiness.
  12. Probably the Parshendi Shardbearer.
  13. actually I'm pretty sure that Brandon has said that Lerasium alloys simply create Mistings of the metal alloyed in the same way pure Lerasium creates Mistborn.
  14. he wasn't doing any hemalurgy, at least as far as we know, he had his metalminds embedded in his skin to stop people from Pushing or Pulling on them, but as far as we know they weren't hemalurgically charged.
  15. yeah, pretty sure he meant Skai's Shard. Awesome t have it named!

Reading the scene, I don't see any evidence of emotional Allomancy, there's no surge of emotion as he pulls the trigger.

I doubt it, at that close range, the gap between Wax pulling the trigger and the gunshot wouldn't be big enough to make a difference, Tan still wouldn't have had the time to react.
  18. or the paper has been running for a very long time.

this just in, I asked Brandon point blank on the twitter Q&A if Tan was an atium misting and he said no.

even so, the timing is incredibly perfect, even he knew Wax would shoot, predicting the moment that precisely is quite a feat.
  21. Without spoiling anything, you have nothing to worry about, There's still plenty of challenges for the heroes in books 2 and 3, both internal and external. Also, Brandon has said that the beheading thing was an exaggeration and he would have died if he'd actually got beheaded.

Well the issue with atium would be solved if we assume Marsh gave him a tiny amount, enough to block that one shot, but that raises the question of how Marsh figured out he was an atium misting in the first place, I doubt Sazed would approve of that kind of thing and give him that information, I suppose he could have done what the ministry did and slipped a trace of atium into a drink to see if he could burn it, but why would he think to test such a longshot possibility?
  23. Remember that the "human attribute" spikes screw the recipient up a ton more then allomantic or feruchemical spikes, with the latter, it was mostly just Ruin screwing around with them that drove people crazy, unless you have a ton of them like the Inquisitors Sazed isn't going to screw around with his followers' minds like that so they aren't going to end up going nuts, especially since they don't wear the earrings all the time.
  24. Unfortunately, Youtube hates me. edit: fixed it!
  25. Nah, Odium's mad cause Hoid's wife already banned him from having any waffles.
