  1. Elend, Vin, and exposing their army to the mists? ('Sirrus' or 'Cirrus' as it's spelt is a type of thin, mistlike cloud).
  2. "said to grant anyone who wears them the powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command" I doubt it's quite that simple.
  3. This is how Phatt contacted me, offering to trade my feruchemy for his allomancy. I didn't tell him what feruchemical ability I had, but I did ask him what he was offering, and got nothing in reply. I didn't realise he was literally going to steal it though, I assumed he meant some sort of trade deal. Clanky, it's nothing personal, just that Phattemer was already dead, and I used about as much logic in voting for him as I did in voting for you. Namely, none.
  4. Did anyone else notice the possible slip up? "Hoid would not want to open himself to the influence of other Shards..." WoB confirms Hoid does not carry any Shards, but was Hoid Adonalsium?
  5. Well, since the voting has to start somewhere, Phattemer. It's nothing personal Phattemer, we just have to start somewhere, before we all get taken out. My only suspicion for Phattemer was that he asked me to identify what I was capable of, but offered nothing in return. Newan, are you still working on PMs? I'm missing mine.
  6. I quite like the idea of someone's eyes popping out to do a form of aerial recon. I might have ti write this into one of my writing exercises
  7. I think you are talking about Dabbid here. Or Moolie as he later becomes known. He joined The Lopen on water duty since his 'PTSD' or whatever it was meant he could no longer keep up with the bridge. I'm pretty sure he is still with Bridge Four even in Dalinar's camp.
  8. I thought Brandon had done something like that when I first read Way of Kings. He used the name Thaidakar, which I sort of vaguely thought I remembered from the Wheel of Time. I spent hours looking for a connection, but I'd be damned if I could find one. Then someone pointed out that there was something similar in Wheel of Time, but not identical, and it wasn't a person, it was a mountain.
  9. I think the reason for the low vote count is because people are active during the night and votes only count when you have slept. That's why I've not voted yet. I've been doing other stuff. I'm not voting again today for the same reason.
  10. Damnation. I hate global time zones. I thought I was safe from April's Fools nearly 5 hours ago, then this... Well played, Chaos, well played.
  11. Bortington-Smythe looked around and considered. Where to put his next masterpiece? He was tired of painting on the floor. No-one paid any attention to his work, and worse, they just stomped over it. No, this time, he needed something more. He needed... A WALL! Soon, he was sketching away, putting into place designs for a larger painting, almost oblivious to the Spiked nearby.
  12. I have the first Baldur's Gate EE. I could be tempted to try the multiplayer aspects. A few recent games I've picked up on Steam: Starship Traveler. Remeber the Fighting Fantasy books when you were younger? This is one of those, converted directly into a PC game format. The various choices you are offered even has the page numbers displayed. Wasteland 2. Fallout meets Baldur's Gate. BG style gameplay in a post apocalyptic world. Also came with Wasteland 1 for free, but I've not tried that yet. Sunless Sea. I highly recommend this game if you are looking for something a bit different. You control a ship in a top down representation of the Unterzee. Your objective is up to you. You can either sail for wealth, stories, or to find your father's missing bones. Each time you die, your next character gets a little something as a legacy. At first, it is simply a few bonus points in one of your stats, but as you become a better zailor, more options unlock. I'm currently zailing as Bort III, and have a pair of heirlooms, and a townhouse with some very expensive furniture which will all be passed onto Bort IV when I next die.
  13. Not necessarily. After all, in all his wanderings of the Cosmere, Hoid is obviously a 'man trying to do what he has decided is important'. And given the grand scale of events Hoid is part of, compared to the smaller scale events of Roshar, I don't think he'll particularly care what Helaran is up to.
  14. Her father is a Rockeater?
  15. Bortington-Smythe woke up. damnation, he had overslept again. Now people were tramping through the town square, destroying the satirical piece he had nearly finished of the Mayor. From what others were saying, it sounded like he had slept through some speech or something. Something about Twinborn, and Spiked. Well, he'd figure it out if it was important. Right now, though, Bortington-Smythe needed eggs. He unfolded himself from beneath the bench he was sleeping under, and wandered off, yawning and stretching as he went. (OOC: Sorry guys, I wasn't paying attention to the forums at the weekend, so I missed Day One. My excuse is I slept through it).
  16. Yeah, I laughed at it too, and again on Twitter at all the comments of I'm looking forward to the season finale next week, although part of me has to wonder if Rick has finally snapped. he's been close over the past few seasons, so perhaps it is about time.
  17. You call those old-timey??? Fantasy Land Dizzy on the Amstrad CPC464, released about 1985. Or, if we want to get into more modern games, TIE Fighter on the PC, released in 1993. That's old-timey, youngsters.
  18. As well as the comments above, Kaladin was never in the Cobalt Guard
