Bortholemew rested easily in the shadows, listening to the conversations that happened around him. It seemed that others also shared his concerns about Wilson. Keeping an eye out for danger, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a now tattered fragment of paper. The list of contestants that he had found falling into the arena on day one, now with quite a few names marked off it. He pulled the stump of a pencil out from another pocket and crossed the latest names off the list. Players: Vin Yard Awg/Vya (Vineyarddawg) Tristal (Tuilr) Dow (Dowanx) Cleo and Kae (Winter Cloud) Keira (Little Wilson) Arall (Araris Valerian) Karlin (Surgebound Rainspren) Count Piffula (Lord Pifferdoo) Tammy Kingswright (A Smart Guy) Todd Smith (Twelfthrootoftwo) Bortholemew (Bort) Lil' Meester Fafa (Splinter) New One the Toddler (Newan) Figgldygrak (Gamma Fiend) Ferrin (Feligon) Restless (Renegade) Lu (Luckat) Deceased: Epics: Keldre (KalaDellexe) Atreides Agamemnon (Ostrichofevil) Jain (Lightsworn Panda) Librarians: Malcom (Mailliw73) Eol (Eolhondras) Samhain (Seonid) Cosmere: Joe (The Only Joe) Ash (Ashiok) The Shard (ShardbearerFanatic2014) Naran (Aonar Faileas) Rithmatists: (Dis)Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa (Phattemer) Ank (Clanky)

So far out of everyone, I'm most suspicious of Renegade. He has told me things that have turned out to be untrue. I'm not sure but he may be a Serial Killer or Hoid.

Bortholemew watched as yesterday's deaths were announced, quietly marking names off his list. Players: Vin Yard Awg/Vya (Vineyarddawg) Tristal (Tuilr) Dow (Dowanx) Cleo and Kae (Winter Cloud) Ank (Clanky) Keira (Little Wilson) Arall (Araris Valerian) Karlin (Surgebound Rainspren) Count Piffula (Lord Pifferdoo) Tammy Kingswright (A Smart Guy) Todd Smith (Twelfthrootoftwo) Bortholemew (Bort) Lil' Meester Fafa (Splinter) Naran (Aonar Faileas) New One the Toddler (Newan) Figgldygrak (Gamma Fiend) Ferrin (Feligon) The Shard (ShardbearerFanatic2014) Samhain (Seonid) Restless (Renegade) Lu (Luckat) Deceased: Epics: Keldre (KalaDellexe) Atreides Agamemnon (Ostrichofevil) Jain (Lightsworn Panda) Librarians: Malcom (Mailliw73) Eol (Eolhondras) Cosmere: Joe (The Only Joe) Ash (Ashiok) Rithmatists: (Dis)Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa (Phattemer) That done, Bortholemew vanished back into the shadows to contemplate today's activities.

Bortholemew stepped out of the shadows, having just had a very interesting chat with a colleague. That lent some credence to some of the public accusations. "Phattemer!" He called out, to register his vote with the powers that be.

That sums up my thoughts on Mailliw's claims too. He also got my role incorrect, but I would love to know how he came to the conclusion he did.

From his vantage point overlooking the main arena, Bortholemew watched people die. He felt bad, in a way, for starting the lynch on Malcolm, but someone spreading that much information was obviously up to no good. He checked the arena scoreboard and crossed names off his list. Players: Vin Yard Awg/Vya (Vineyarddawg) Tristal (Tuilr) Eol (Eolhondras) Dow (Dowanx) Jain (Lightsworn Panda) Cleo and Kae (Winter Cloud) Ank (Clanky) Keira (Little Wilson) Arall (Araris Valerian) Karlin (Surgebound Rainspren) Count Piffula (Lord Pifferdoo) Tammy Kingswright (A Smart Guy) Todd Smith (Twelfthrootoftwo) Ash (Ashiok) Bortholemew (Bort) Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa (Phattemer) Lil' Meester Fafa (Splinter) Naran (Aonar Faileas) New One the Toddler (Newan) Figgldygrak (Gamma Fiend) Ferrin (Feligon) The Shard (ShardbearerFanatic2014) Samhain (Seonid) Restless (Renegade) Lu (Luckat) Deceased: Epics: Keldre (KalaDellexe) Atreides Agamemnon (Ostrichofevil) Librarians: Malcom (Mailliw73) Cosmere: Joe (The Only Joe) With that, Bortholemew slipped back into the shadows to decide who to vote for next.

So Brandon is going to be appearing at FantasyCon in Nottingham, UK, on the dates of 23rd, 24th, and 25th October this year. Basic tickets cost £55, with a discount if you are a member of the British Fantasy Society. Here's the link I'm guessing I'm holidaying in Nottingham this year

I'm starting to think we should probably kill Mailliw73 first, to stop him selling what he claims are other people's secrets.

That was at the end of the chapter in WoR where Kaladin goes and wakes Zahel asking to be trained against a Shardblade. Possibly with another hint at Zahel being Vasher, he replies that 'there are two people that live here. The grumpy Swordmaster who comes out during the day, and the grumpier Swordmaster who...' and I forget the rest." The very end of that chapter, as Zahel is going to sleep, there is some comment about hearing voices, and the chapter ends with something along the lines of 'Of course, that voice hadn't been there in years.'

Bortholemew watched in silence as a small piece of paper fluttered down from the seats surrounding the arena. He could tell, the paper had writing on it, but from where he was, he couldn't read it. Dashing across, trying to keep himself in shadows and out of sight of most of the murderous cretins he was trapped here with, he managed to grab that piece of paper without interference. It read... Players: Joe (The Only Joe) Malcom (Mailliw73) Vin Yard Awg/Vya (Vineyarddawg) Tristal (Tuilr) Eol (Eolhondras) Dow (Dowanx) Jain (Lightsworn Panda) Cleo and Kae (Winter Cloud) Ank (Clanky) Keira (Little Wilson) Arall (Araris Valerian) Karlin (Surgebound Rainspren) Count Piffula (Lord Pifferdoo) Tammy Kingswright (A Smart Guy) Todd Smith (Twelfthrootoftwo) Ash (Ashiok) Bortholemew (Bort) Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa (Phattemer) Atreides Agamemnon (Ostrichofevil) Lil' Meester Fafa (Splinter) Naran (Aonar Faileas) New One the Toddler (Newan) Figgldygrak (Gamma Fiend) Ferrin (Feligon) The Shard (ShardbearerFanatic2014) Samhain (Seonid) Restless (Renegade) Keldre (KalaDellexe) Lu (Luckat) Active player list. I'm not planning on voting in this cycle, although my mind may change depending on information gathered.

1. Snapping is, I'm going to guess, a fairly obvious event. Otherwise, how would people know to stop beating their kids while trying to make them snap? The exceptions to this would be Vin, who snapped at an early age (one of the books mention while her mother was giving birth as a possibility), so she wouldn't remember, and Elend, who didn't snap in the traditional sense. 2. Steel and Iron were Kelsier's 'favoured' metals. Vin comments (or thinks) about this in one of the books, quite possibly while watching the fight you mention in your question. Personally, I think that Kelsier was on his way to becoming a Steel and Iron Savant. Pushing and Pulling depends a lot on the strength of the Pusher/Puller, so it stands to reason that as their skills developed, they wouldnot get stronger, so much as they would develop more control. 3. As I view it, eating Lerasium basically puts holes in your Spirit Web, which is then filled up with the various Allomantic abilities. Eating Lerasium when already a Mistborn makes your Allomancy stronger. This is mentioned in one of the Ars Arcanas, I believe. 4. Flaring Tin isn't just about sensory overload, otherwise, whenever anyone flared tin they would be immediately blinded and deafened, and touching things would probably hurt. What flaring tin does, on top of providing all that sensory information, is allow the extra information to make sense. Yes, you can see more, but it isn't overwhelming your brain. Yes, you hurt, so you flare tin. It doesn't stop the pain, in fact your increased sensitivity means you feel it more acutely, but your senses are stabilized for this new balance, so you can take it. 5. With regards to Sazed's research being changed, I think it was Ruin's touch on Sazed himself. Everyone seems to forget that some of Sazed's metalminds were earrings. Early on, at least. Once he stopped wearing them, then it was less important. Also, with regards to the Metalminds changing, it was said that Sazed once spent a whole year memorising the contents of his mentor's metalminds by having them read to him. Plenty of time to slip a few errors through the listenee.

Changes Done By The Creator Many Years Later
Bort replied to Fedcomic's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Raymond E. Feist's Magician. He rewrote sections of it for the tenth anniversary release, to clear up a few errors, and introduce a few new elements to the story to bring it in line with some of the other happenings in the Riftwar novels. For example, he added some comment about the Lady of the Acoma into Magician. The Lady of the Acoma was the main character in a trilogy he wrote with Janny Wurts in the years after he originally published Magician. Usually, I'm alright with this, unless the author does something drastic which alters a lot of the story. About the only thing Brandon has planned which might do that is the Kaladin/Szeth fight at the end of WoR, but I've already looked at the changes made. They are not too bad, and will provide for some interesting interactions between those two characters in future. -
Nicely ran Joe. As it was my first game, does anyone have any comments or criticism about how I played?

Bortholemew stopped at the edge of a balcony overlooking the main arena. Wearing a suit, complete with duster and a wide brimmed hat, he would not be surprised if the people in the arena mistook him for one of the fans. That might serve him well until he found allies.

Shard-o-vision. I like that. I think the flashes Kaladin sees are when Szeth uses stormlight.

"I must say, Lord Hobbes, that I approve of the method of execution you used for me," Bortin commented, looking at the other Worldhopper over his glass of wine. "Beheading, stabbing, poison, all would cast a pall over my final day. But not hanging. Of course, I do have a slightly sore throat, but that is nothing a good vintage can't ease." He matched his words by taking a final sip from his glass, swallowing with some small difficulty. Bortin placed the glass on a table and stood. "Thank you for your hospitality," he said to Hoid. "My vote today is for Jain. I just hope I last long enough to see him hang." With that, the Terrisman Voidbringer left Hoid to his business and returned to his room to prepare himself for the journey back to the Void.

It does make sense, and don't worry, I was more amused by it than annoyed. It seemed a little overkill. I'll admit to a little disappointment though Snoopy. I thought you of all people would know me better than to believe I was Odium. Thanks for confirming Leift. Have fun lynching Odium

Then have Snoopy roleblock him and lynch Luckat first. It may have simply been miscalculation on Luckat's part, but he did manage to direct everyone's attention away from Jain when it looked like he was going to be lynched. That in itself looks highly dodgy.

Did you do that to Peng too? As I recall his name appearing to vote for himself to die. If what you say is true, Snoopy, then neither Winter nor Meta should be killed off. Can you also confirm Leif's claims from the last cycle? Finally, was it really down to just myself or Jain to be Odium, or were there others it could be?

Hey! No fair! Someone changed my vote so I voted for myself. Especially annoying since I wasn't voting for anyone by the end of the day cycle. Well, since I am out at the end of tomorrow, I may as well share my thoughts. My current highest suspicions are of Feligon (I only retracted his name in the last vote because it looked like we had Odium). Mostly due to his claim of being a Lifeless Operator. If he is, then he is either an OC, or Team Shard was very heavily stacked for defense - We had protection abilities of two Shards, one Investee, and two Lifeless Operators. This seems excessive. I'm also rather suspicious of Winter. Especially with this information that there may be someone spying on Team Shard. Even being in conversation with Snoopy since he was revealed as Hoid, I've only had the vaguest of reassurance about Winter and his role, yet he seems to have been there for most of the major discussions, and has successfully redirected the voting on a few occasions. Meta. The "Secret Shard". Who has confirmed his role? How do we know that he is an 'extra' Shard, and not Odium hiding in plain sight? Luckat, I don't think is evil, although the way he redirected attention off Jain/Alvron in today's day cycle is dodgy as hell if this cycle's write-up is correct (as in, down to either Jain or myself as Odium). If Jain does turn out to be Odium guys, and that does not end the game, I recommend looking at Luckat. Well, best of luck. I'll drop by in the morning to place my final vote.

I've done nothing except cooperate with the Shards. Most of my votes have been discussed with Snoopy or Meta before they were placed, and I have pressed neither for additional information about the Shards and their plans beyond asking if there was anything I could do to help. If that plus my voting history is not enough for you, then so be it. At least Odium will have one less body to hide behind. Winter, if you have reason to trust all of the others, one at least has deceived you. Very well Leif. I will retract my vote on you for now. At least until I check your claim.
