  1. I think I must be part of the minority here, but I think Strax is a brilliant character, and should be in it more.
  2. I'll join, when I remember. I tend to play single player games on Steam, although I do have my Star Trek Online account tied up through Steam. I've got both Civ V and Civ BE, and love both games, although I'm not really a master (I tend to just stick to the easier difficulties). Most recently, I've been getting into more unusual games, like Zafehouse Diaries, FTL, and This War Of Mine. I recommend all three of these games. They are not like other games where you run around and hit things. TWOM and ZD in particular, if you just go around hitting things, the game will quickly become very painful.
  3. You know, that actually makes me think Araris might be innocent. Not enough to take my vote off him, but maybe just a smidge.
  4. Well, someone needs to be lynched, if only to clear another innocent name off the list, so Araris. I don't particularly have any real suspicions about him, but the lynch is the only real power the non-invested have, so we may as well make use of it. Either Araris is an OC or Odium, or he is innocent. Either way, his lynch means one less person for the Shards to consider.
  5. There is a line in Alloy of Law (I think in the ballroom where Steris is kidnapped) where Wax has a thought about how he can only deflect bullets if he is ready for them.
  6. Shardtack? Or Shardsaddle? Perhaps Shardshoes?
  7. I've been suspicious of him since the attack on him on day one. That and his relative silence on the subject since makes me wonder if it was a setup.
  8. I'll be watching season 5. I'm with the Smurf in that I actually think the series is possibly better than the books, and for me, that is a very rare thing to say. Plus, I'm not actually certain George will finish writing the series as he has spent quite a bit of time working on the TV series.
  9. Having gone onto Brandon's website and read through parts of Warbreaker looking for the answer to this, I was wrong. It is 1000 Breaths to awaken an object like Nightblood.
  10. Bortin tapped his tinmind to allow himself to hear the exhalations of the ghostly form. He nodded, slightly confused. "Yes, Ostrich. We need to find Odium again, and prevent him and his Champions from killing any more of us." As he headed towards the kitchens in search of breakfast, he wondered if death had broken poor Ostrich's mind.
  11. Yeah, I played the beta for ESO. They took all the good bits of the Elder Scrolls game, and made them bad. All the open world stuff, and open character progression was took out, and instead people were forced into specific races, factions, and classes. I played Oblivion, but I didn't get any of the DLCs. To be honest, I never even heard of a horse armour DLC.
  12. Bortin awoke, stretched, and climbed out of bed. Reality felt... peaceful. It must have been a quiet night. Nodding to the ghost of Ostrich (who had prevented Bortin from lynching someone in his sleep), he left his room and went looking for rope. He didn't have many suspicions left, everyone was acting quietly, but he still felt there was something odd about the attack on Peng on day one. So, unless the Shards told him otherwise, his rope for the day had Peng's name on it.
  13. I thought it was 10,000 Breaths.
  14. That is pretty much what I believe. He saw something, but no-one believed him, possibly just out of fear, and they kicked him out of Shin in the hopes of him being wrong.
  15. AH, that's Elder scrolls Online, right? I thought I recognised it, but for a while I thought it was from WoW.
  16. I don't think Szeth bonded a Spren, but he may well have encountered Taln before, if the theory going around is accurate, that Taln has been on Roshar for the past 6-7 years or so.
  17. It is? Oh, so it is... D'oh! I can only blame a stupidly late night followed by an insanely early morning today. Ummm, Peng, I guess. Wake me up in the morning, would you? Thanks, ghost of Ostrich
  18. It never really explains where they keeps their vials. As for imitating them, very simple. Get a few of those test tube shots and drink them, saving the caps. Buy a bottle of Goldschlager. Top of test tubes, making sure you get some of the gold flakes in there.
  19. Oops, sorry Unodus. Blame Hoid. My vote for today is going to be Peng. I have no real evidence besides a slight suspicion. The day 1 attempt on his life seemed to be a bit forced.
  20. The Shards don't make the surges work, the Spren do. You'd need to take your Spren with you, of course, but then all you'd need is fuel.
  21. Or, persuade the Ryshadium to speak the Oaths and become a Windrunner... Then you have a flying horse army. Or two.
  22. His short stories. Mostly because they are all spread out across various books and games, so you cannot get them in a single volume.
