"Plenty! I'll show you around." Katie pulled open the door.

"And Ara! Katie!" Wendy stood up. "You two better be in bed before eight, you understand?"

Ara stuck her tongue out at Wendy and giggled as she stepped out of the room.

"If you're still awake by the time I'm done," Wendy called, "then I'll buy myself some ice cream and make you watch me eat it!" She was grinning, then sat down and continued eating her nasty waitress food: she wished she had ice cream to eat.

"She's not yours, is she?" Reyna asked.

Wendy looked up. "Mine?"

"Like..." Reyna awkwardly mimed childbirth in the most anatomically solicitous way a human being possibly could.

"Oh, no! I'd've had to be... what, eight? Her age!" Wendy shook her head. "No, she isn't mine. I'm just taking care of her for now."

Timeskippppp

Riva awoke invigorated.

Her senses were sharpened, her reflexes faster, her body completely healed. (At least of any short-term wounds; her muscle and bone deficiencies could not simply be healed, even with the potion.) She might have used the concoction more often if it weren't for how long it required her to be unconscious and how fast the effects wore off. Even still, it was a nice brew to have at the ready for a quick-heal and she wanted to be at her best when she was sent to live with that monster.

When Daku came to wake her, he found her sitting at her desk gluing on fake eyelashes. These particular eyelashes were made of black feathers; quite fitting for the Raveness, she figured. “Well, Daku? How do I look?” Riva turned in her seat for him, displaying her heavily-done-up face. Her wrinkles were all but gone, her already-sharp cheekbones  contoured to make them pop even more, and her eyelids glittered silver.

“Absolutely stunning, Lady Raven,” said the janitor.

“Mmm, thank you.” She turned back to the mirror, focusing on painting her lips a deeper shade of red than she usually did; so deep, in fact, that it was almost black. “How much time do I have until the wedding?”

“A few hours, miss. I believe Ivian said the wedding was at sunset.”

“Lovely…” Riva replaced the cap on her tube of lipstick. “Now, run along; I’ve still got a lot to do before the wedding…” She grinned at her own reflection in the mirror. Caden would fear her. He would fear her because if he did not, he would die.

That was how she liked it.

Here we go.

If someone is willing to be the messenger sent to collect the Priest that would be wonderful

Brother Tomad acting Priest of Mendahar sat looking through the Churches district finances, when a knock came at his door.

"A message for Brother Tomad!" squeaked the voice of a young boy.

Brother Tomad folded up his pappers and set them aside, "come in please."

A blonde young man - perhaps 12 - wandered in. "There's a wedding tonight, sir. The King would like you to perform the ceremony."

The young Acolyte sighed, "and he didn't think it would be a good idea to tell me beofrehand?"

"Uhh..." The paige was pale. "Maybe you shouldn't. It's the Raveness that's getting married, sir. Married to the High General, Caden Praetorium. By order of the king."

"What!? isn't the Raveness twice his age?" Brother Tomad burried his face in his hands, the endless politiking was going to be the death of him.

"I will meet with them or the wedding will not take place." he spoke from within his fingers.

"At least twice...." the paige said. "Who knows how old she is? Uh... do you want me to bring them to you now? That would be easier than going through the king. Even though... the Raveness is... pretty terrifying."

Don't mind if I do.

Maybe have her literally run into Caden by accident? I'll let you decide.

Caden stalked the halls of the castle, relying on his reputation to keep others from bothering him while he was lost in thought. He knew he should be getting sleep, but even under normal circumstances it was elusive, forget just hours before he was being married to that witch. He just needed some time to think it over, since it was all happening so fast. He liked the steady beat of his feet on the floor, one step after another, it calmed his mind even in the worst of times.

Clarification: it's early morning when Caden runs into Eleanor. The paige comes to get him hours later.

We can do both at once, I think. It won't make too much of a difference. Just have two different moments with the same character going on at once.

"Alright...."

The paige collected Caden first. After asking around, he finally bumped into the man in the hallway. "Uh, hello," he said. "I have a summons for you."

This is will be hours after the interaction between Caden and Eleanor (if you still are fine with that happening)

"Speak, boy." Caden folded his arms, trying his best to at least appear approachable.

"The priest - Brother Tambor - would like to speak with you in his office about the wedding this evening. If you'll come with me, please..." The paige turned around, expecting to be followed. He was immensely confident, for a boy his age and he walked with a fire in his chest, evidently quite proud of himself for fetching the General.

Caden fought the urge to strike the young man for even mentioning the wedding, and his conceited mannerisms only further encouraged Caden to act. It was only the thought of the King being displeased at Caden for striking someone who worked for the Priest that held him in line. He followed the young man, grumbling to himself along the way as his two ever present guards stayed at his side.

Soon enough, Peter the Paige brought the General to Brother Tambor. "I fetched him for you!" he said. "Would you like me to stay and wait? Or I can fetch the Raveness now, assuming your meeting with General Praetorium will be short." He rocked back and forth on his toes.
