With a heavily sarcastic sigh, Riva leaned on her hip, folding her arms. "Festivities?" She managed to sport an impressively raised sharp eyebrow.

[Channelknight Fadran]

"The wedding feast."

[The Ward's Guard he/him]

"My lord," Caden glanced towards Riva, "I don't think that's necessary."

"General, not even you could turn down a decent shindig."

Riva considered. Feasts were not something she was ever invited to; diplomats didn't like being reminded that they could be sent to her at a word from the king. "That certainly doesn't sound awful," Riva said. She nudged Caden with a sharp elbow.

Caden moved out of Riva's reach after her elbow dug into his side, grumbling to himself. "It does to me."

"It's free food..." Riva mumbled. She took Caden's hand - solely for the purpose of making him uncomfortable - and followed Ivian, digging her nails slightly into the General's palm.

Caden groan in annoyance, trying to resist the Raveness's pull until she dug her nails into his palm. He wanted to yank his hand out of hers, but after a quick glance at the king, he decided to follow the Raven- no, his wife. He shuddered that that thought.

Riva took a seat and put her elbows on the table, grinning. This might actually be fun if she was able to get Caden to do what she wanted him to...

Caden looked around, trying to see if it were possible for him to sit anywhere other than the spot next to the Raveness. Sighing in defeat, he sat himself at the table, slouching in the chair.

"Awww, Caden," Riva said in a sing-song voice. She ruffled his hair gently, resisting a chuckle since she knew if she let it out it would sound absolutely manic. "Don't look so glum, you've just gotten married."

Caden reflexively growled, but he tried to disguise it as an attempt to clear his throat. He tried to bat away her hand, "precisely."

"Oh, come now, cheer up. It won't be so bad." She began serving herself some cake, only holding her laughter back by biting her lip.

Ivian wanted to keep it on the low down so there are literally like 4 other people there. But Eleanor can be there if you want her to be.

Caden grumbled under his breath again, looking for something to eat amongst the table of food before settling on some sort of grilled meat. As he grabbed his food, he tried to use it as an excuse to subtly move farther from the Raveness.

Riva raised an eyebrow at her new husband, wishing she were physically strong enough to drag him over. But since she could not, she instead scooted closer to him, like a 3rd grader purposefully annoying the boy she knew was wary of her supposed cooties.

Ara skipped through the halls, looking for someone to talk to.

"Oh, 'lo there, miss 'bella." Nico held a tray in one hand - and despite his clumsiness, he held it rather expertly - and ruffled the girl's hair in his other.

Ara giggled. "Hi Nico!"

Nicolae gave a wink. "You havin' a zu-bop of a day, love?"

Also I guess I'll drop some waitress gossip:

• Alice and Flannery are working at the wedding. They're afraid for their lives and nobody can blame them
• Ingrid, Pep, and Veronica are taking advantage of the lack of palace staff and are sleeping in
• Wendy's working an extra shift to get off earlier and see Ara
