"Well, 'course! Not much of a step down from the King, an' I used to work for him directly, yeah?" He chuckled. "C'mon, we can go say hi together."

Ara grinned. "Are you famous?"

"I sure am, you'd better believe it." Not for the right reasons, but the li'l one doesn't need to know that. She'll find out 'ventually.... "Everyone knows ol' Nicolae!"

"I can find paper! I've got a lot of books that I can't read."

Caden tried to ignore the Raveness, but her presence seemed to be designed to grab someone's attention, or at least his. He growled in annoyance, pulling out a knife to cut up his food with, hoping that the Raveness wouldn't try to make conversation if he kept himself busy.

Oooh, sharp objects, head down. Someone's trying to avoid me. Let's dance, shall we, General? Riva smirked, determined to get under the man's skin. Usually, she would try to disturb a person, but Caden was a man about as surrounded by death as she was. So instead, Riva decided to get uncomfortably close. "So, Caden, dearest, what shall we do today now that we've been bound in holy matrimony?" She took another bit of cake, sliding her teeth against the fork's prongs to make a harsh sound.
