Brother Tomad sat at his desk, he had moved the finances to a drawer and just finished his prayer for guidence when the General arrived.

"Ah, General Caden, come in."

"Stay here, or, actually yes fetch the Raveness but have her wait outside my office until we conclude."

"Right-o, sir!" he said. "I'll be brave, I will!" With that, he ran off.

"So it was the kings decision?" Brother Tomad asked, not accusitory but curious.

Brother Tomad was taken aback, he had often seen dispationate relationships aiming for marrage, especially among the nobility, but outright loathing was something new to him.

"Do you hate her?"

Caden glared at the insufferable priest dead in the eyes, "she's is the most horrible witch in the entire kin- No, the entire world! She tortures and maims for fun, she can torture anyone if the king says so much as a single word, and I'm going to be married to her."

He stopped suddenly, taking the statement very seriously. But Caden considered it for only a moment, "No. My king has willed it, so I must go through with it." He nodded, sounding sure of himself, "the king always has a plan, and he never does anything without reason. So there must be a reason."

Brother Tomad nodded, "Very well, do you have any other concerns, either with this marraige or with something else you would like to talk about?"

Caden scoffed, regarding the man with a small degree of distrust. "Not with you, priest."

Full disclosure, Caden has an "interesting" history that boils down to his house's culture being from the North-ish East, far enough that there are more than a few minor differences in religious beliefs. Long story short, he doesn't trust Brother Tomad.

Caden turned to leave, flaring his cape while he spun around to stomp out of the door, his two personal guards at his side once more.

I had a few questions about this religion you made for this world.

Alright like what?

How exactly are priests called, and where does their authority come from?

Also, is there any sort of organization to the religion itself, or is it dependent on the state or nation that you're in? (The more realistic option might be a combination of the two, but I'm curious to hear what you think)

So the church is lead by the Patriarch and it's capital is in Jolie, with service buildings doubling as schools, if a man wishes he can study in theology and become an acolyte, Priests head congregations in outer cities and towns whil a Bishop resides in the capital of each Kingdom, Brother Tomad is acting Bishop on special permission of the Patriarch as Father Dumin is physically incabable of preforming his duties. When an acolyte reaches the age of sixteen the Bishop can choose to promote him to a Priest, Bishops are choosen by an Arch Bishop all of whom reside in Jolie but have regions they are responcible for, and Archbishops are choosen by the Patriarch, who is in turn selected by the Archbishops collectivly. Ultimatly the Patriarch is in closest communication with Droit, but anyone can hear him.

On the topic of Nations, the Church does teach obidience to Kings but the are certain times when that obligation can be removed.

Anything else?

I'm sensing a faint connection to the Christian faith, but just a few more questions.

How common are dissenters from the church, and how wide spread is the church itself? How common is it for nations to turn away from the main church itself in favor for either something radically different, or for conflict over specific pieces of doctrine, that is to say, how united is the land in their faith? Also, from a political standpoint, how much power does the Patriarch wield?

I'll ask questions as they come

In organisation yes, and in Theology you can see simalarities with Mesopotamian and Eastern religion.

The idea is that for the most part the common people are mainly united, there are breakaways of course but for nations close to Jolie, and Jolie itself specifically it would be increadibly powerful. The Patriarch doesn't often weild direct political power but often times doesn't need to, nor is it unheard of for Jolie nobles to make it into the Church.

The Raveness did not arrive in time to pass Caden, as she resided in the sub-basement and little Peter had a little bit of trouble retrieving her. The brave paige was, admittedly, very thrown off and sickened by the dungeon; he'd never been down there before and it was worse than he'd imagined. In fact, he almost vomited halfway through, the smell of human foulness far more overwhelming than anticipated. To Peter's credit, however, he successfully wound his way to the sub-basement - which stunk heavily of the Raveness's signature pine instead - and, with a hand that was only shaking a little bit, knocked on the Raven's door.

She answered. Peter could not help but gape at her for a moment, taken aback by her strange beauty.

"What do you want?" she hissed at him with a raspy and deep voice. "Come to stare at the Raveness, have you?" Her eyes narrowed. "There are punishments for that, boy."

Peter shook himself. "No, miss, no. I was sent to fetch you."

The Raveness raised a sharp eyebrow, folding stick-like arms. "Well. You're certainly a brave one, aren't you?"

The compliment made the corners of his mouth raise. "Thank you miss! Well... if you'll come with me."

"Fine...." After wandering for a while, the woman all dressed in black asked at where they might be going and when Peter answered her, she scoffed. Upon hearing that it was to-do with the wedding, however, she shut herself up and continued to follow until Peter and she arrived.

"I have her, Brother Tomad!" said Peter with a knock on the door.

"Alright, ladies!" The taskmaster shouted, clanging her spoon against the pot. "We've got some special duties today! I need some volunteers."

There were no volunteers.

"Well don't all speak at once,' the taskmaster grumbled. "It's for a wedding, ladies: you're going to wait at a wedding."
