Brandon's created a wide variety of cultures for Roshar, each with their own customs, food, clothing, governments, religions, and so on. If you were in the Stormlight Archive, which one would you want to live in? The Reshi Isles and the Purelake both seem pretty cool to me.

Azir for me- I don't think I could live with Vorin Society's restrictions on men reading. And Azir seems like a nice orderly place to boot

Purelake or one of the non-greatshell Reshi Isles for me, I think. Sounds v ery relaxing.

Except for their rules for homosexual relationships :(

Kharbranth or Azimir seem to rank highest on the world happiness index.  Possibly Shinovar but they don't use modern technology.

How did this line get here?

Probably the Purelake. I love seafood so it'd work out great in that regard, plus it just sounds fun living in a place where there's knee-deep(?) water all the time.

Kharbranth, Thaylenah, Herdaz, Tashikk, Liafor and Reshi Islands sound nice. I don't want to be conscripted or not allowed to read so no Vorin (Alethkar, Jah Keved, Thaylenah (there is also the Passions, more of a philosophy), Kharbranth, Herdaz) though. Marabethia apparently has a lot of podiums for public speech but I don't want to pelted with rotten fruits or have eyes of blue & red. I also don't want to be killed when I get old, so no Babatharnam. Iri's secular society is restrictive of homosexual relationships so nope. Azir's rule regarding the same isn't in agreement with my gender identity either, so nope. Purelake sounds nice, but also sound kind of boring and fishy. The middle kingdoms we don't know much about. Shinovar sounds really obnoxious, imo. Aimia is... Aimia. Reshi, do they have anything to eat aside from fish & crustaceans? Not much, I'd wager. Okay, food is king so Shinovar it is.

Probably Herdaz for the food. But I forget if they are actually Vorin or just influenced the the Alethi. But I think I might like Azir or even Iri from what little we’ve seen.
Purelake or Reshi Isles maybe for a couple years, but probably not forever.

Nothing Vorin, I like to read too much and dont want to have to sell myself into religious slavery to do it.  Shinovar sounds appealing for the familiarity food and ecosystem, but they also sound like a hyper controlling theocracy, which is never appealing to me.  The Horneater Peaks sound cool but maybe it's just that Rock sounds cool... still, they value food over War, which is a very good start.  Reishi Islands have a similarly bloodless war style (for the humans anyway), but I dont know that I wasnt to live that tribal.

Truth is I want a place that is reasonably developed, that lets me be a scholar without being a Priest-slave, ideally a fabrial-tech engineer or something equally realmic.  In the past era it could have been almost any of the Silver kingdoms (as far as I know anyway) but in the modern era I think Id my best bet would be to settle in Shadesmar itself, maybe at one of the Honrspren or Cultivationspren cities.   They did say there wer humans that settled in them.

I think I like Kharbranth, it is very metro, normally peaceful, a port city so has good trade and most likely has all types of goods and foods available. They have good medical facilities also. As long as you are not a destitute I think you have nothing to worry from silent gatherers right?

And do you remember there is a huge library full of books!!

A very meta choice. I'm firmly in the odium wins first arc camp which would make kharbaranth pretty good.

Yes that was secretly the main reason why I chose Kharbranth

I have light eyes, so I'll take the shattered plains, or Urithuru, so that I could be a Knight Radiant.

Reshi Islands or the Purelake for me. Being able to just mess around in the water in everyday life would be a dream come true, impending apocalypse of ancestral hatred or no.

Dark brown here, that rules out any strict vorin nations.

I didn't think about that idea. If only I wasn't well below Alethi height average.

Kharbranth, especially if I could marry a native, because Odium has promised to spare "the city itself, and any humans who have been born into it, along with their spouses. This is whom I will spare."

So even if I found a way to work for the good of Team Radiant, the backup plan would still see me come out alive.

Bah, you just have to get a Nahel bond and Bob's your uncle. If not Dalinar.

The Reshi Isles sound like my kind of place to live, with all the tropical debauchery and bloodless conflicts. Naked ladies of every ethnicity sounds nice too.

Any Vorin country (I have blue eyes).

Aha, but without an established family lineage you'd default to a Tenner, which is basically the same quality of life as the average Darkeyes.
