Sheln has a fabrial that re-forms it automatically.

The Blade is from an Elsecaller, and yes, it would be there.

I’m going to be honest, that sounds like something you made up on the spot to justify the Plate reforming that quickly. Even if not, we have no idea if those fabrials exist.

Why? Whether alive or dead, a Shardblade cannot show up in the Cognitive Realm.

Nobody knows how Shardplate works, or if it would function in Shadesmar. The rules for things we don't know are whatever we make up.

The Blade is from an Elsecaller, and yes, it would be there.

While that's true, don't we usually try to stick fairly close to what we do know? While we don't know everything about how shardplate works, we have been given some hints. For example, we know that Radiants gain shardplate after swearing more oaths, which seems similar to what happens with blades. Plus, there was that whole Kaladin thing in Oathbringer. Both of those combined makes me think that spren are still involved somehow. Since I'm mot directly involved with the battle, it would probably be better to figure out mechanics with someone who was. I just thought that they were some points that should be brought up.

I think that was answering my question of whether the deadspren would be there in Shadesmare, not if the blade would actually manifest. @AonEne

Sorry, I meant the deadeye. The deadeye version of the Shardblade will be there.

They’d gotten five new blades from those who had fallen, but they’d also gotten the dead ones held by the guards, along with their plate- which seemed to be attached to some sort of fabrial.

I've actually had this idea for a while. :D I was originally going to have other fabrial inventions, but I never got around to doing it.

You could make that argument. However, you could also make the argument that Shardplate is merely the solidified version of Stormlight, dead Shardplate especially so.

You could, but wouldn't that make it more difficult for the shardplate to reform in the Cognitive Realm?

Wow, that was from a long time ago, okay. Fair enough. I still don’t think we should be using fabrials if we don’t know they exist, though.

Shana strained to keep James on her arms, while Ben did his magic. He was growing heavy, but she stayed quiet, let him do what he needed to do. She carefully set James down, just as Ben dropped unconcious and sighed. It was always the same. Always and always. James whispered some words and finally managed to stand on weak legs, but she kneeled down, held some spheres close to Ben's face.

"Wake up." She whispered, gently strocked his face. "Please Ben. Just wake up. There are times when you can sleep and times, when you shouldn't. So please, wake up. The others will need your help."

She wasn't sure if he would, but figured that she could always carry him back to the house.

I feel like we killed most of them, that only a few are left. What do you think?

I don't see any reason why it would. Light acts more or less the same way in both realms, as far as we've seen.

Leona was almost done with the cake when she heard the screaming and clanging of blades. She summoned Onyx as a chef's knife, then stormed outside. The battle was in full swing.

There were voidbringers. So many voidbringers. And Cassie had disappeared. To the Cognitive realm, she supposed. And a voidbringer had followed her. Nobody else had seen or reacted. And Leona was the only other one with access.

"SERIOUSLY?" she yelled, gracefully faceplanting into a sea of beads, nearly impaling herself on Onyx. Now was not the time for her ankle to give out.

She landed on a platform of beads. Somehow, she'd transformed them into a kitchen table. Cassie was to her left, weaponless. Onyx had reverted to spren form, but Leona had backup weapons. What, after all, was the point of being a baker if not so that one could carry numerous weapons - knives, rolling pins, potato peelers, cheese graters - all the time?

She handed Cassie a chef's knife. "You're worth it. You are worth something, no matter how much you argue otherwise. Now let's kick demon butt and get out of here."

Grabbing a knife in each hand, she began to fight.

That’s not quite on the same level. We know Transportation exists and have clues about how it works; however, there is nothing to suggest that fabrial exists. While it’s certainly possible, I’d prefer to stay away from anything more than speculation along lines everyone goes down.

We know that Transportation isn't nearly as easy as we're making it out to be. The principles behind the fabrial are sound- we know that feeding Light to Plate will cause it to regrow.

But if bothers you that much... fine, I'll take it out.

I don’t remember hearing anything about Transportation’s easiness, but I probably just haven’t read the right WOBs. *shrugs*

Thank you!

Ben distantly felt something softly brushing against his cheek. It felt nice, like a butterfly. He also heard a voice. It sounded familiar, like he had heard it before. Focusing, the far away voice seemed to come closer. It sounded like Shana. She was asking him to... wake up? Why? Was there something wrong? Had he fallen asleep at the wrong time? He wanted to sleep, he was tired and needed rest. But Shana sounded like she really wanted him to open his eyes. And maybe someone needed his help.

With quite a bit of effort, he woke fully and slowly opened his eyes. Shana was kneeling next to him, and it seemed that she was holding some spheres next to his head. He immediately sucked in their stormlight and regained some energy. He sat up slowly to prevent any dizziness. Suddenly he remembered why he had passed out.

”Is everyone ok?”

James looked back at the sound of Ben's voice. "Thank the Nightwatcher, you're up." he sighed in relief. "We all seem to be fine at the moment."

Ben nodded, then noticed the deep gash on Shana’s arm and grimaced. How long had it been there? He quickly placed a hand next to it and healed it before she could lose any more blood. Luckily she didn’t seem to be hurt anywhere else.

”How long have I been out?”

Nym stared at the girl for what seemed like forever and finally advanced saying, "Umm... Hi?"  For what felt like the billionth time today.  She proffered her arm and said in a clear voice, "I'm Nym, Windrunner of the.. "  Oh yeah, third Ideal now.  "Third Ideal.  I believe you saved me?"  She said, trying not to stutter.  Meanwhile, Lopen was growling ominously at the cryptic spren and said I would ignore you, but you saved Nym's life. Thank you.  Lopen said begrudgingly. @WannabeWorldhopper

By the way, I haven't really told anyone about myself. I'm Sahar (Which is Arabic, don't ask why) I'm 14-ish, and have golden blond hair with brown highlights and brown eyes that everyone claims are black. I hate singing and cold weather, and love clean clothes and fresh fruit. I'm usually pretty annoyed with everyone, but I figure they need help sometimes. I said the First Ideal mostly by accident, and am loathe to speak any others. My spren, Spool, is an adorable, clueless little beast who wants me to socialize constantly.

@Aragorn

Sahar tried to smile at the girl, Nym, but it was mostly pained. Nym was the kind of girl who was too... quirky. "Yeah... hi. Uh... you might need a wash." Nym looked at Sahar strangely. "Um... yeah, 'k." Ugh, that was awkward. Sahar thought. "Spool, let's go."

"Mmmm... perhaps... help?"

"No, Spool."

"Not long." She smiled at him, glad that he seemed to be alright. "I just didn't want you lying around asleep in the middle of a battle."  Her eyes roamed over the battlefield, but it seemed to be under control. At least nothing those standing could handle. So she just stayed where she was, close to Ben, a hand on his arm. "This is the worst wedding party ever." with a sigh she made sure so move around a little, so that she would be able to get up quickly in case of an attack and shook her head. "But maybe I am asking too much, when I want a single evening of peace, so that we can celebrate with our friends."

Sorry, I’ll try to finish up Cassie’s fight in a min.

On the moderation side of things, I’m sorry for not having yet created the new poll, I’ve been short on time. I have added Sahar to the list. Speaking of the list, I know I’ve tagged them before, but I can’t remember whether either Ark or Karger said if they were going to become active? Does anyone else? I’m also tagging Taradiddle now, because it’s been a while since they posted.

@Taradiddle (see above) @BookishOcelot @xinoehp512 (I posted)

“What am I? I’m an idiot,” Cassie said tiredly. She hadn’t slept last night, and it had been a very long day. All she wanted was to get out of here, fall into her bed, and not move. She eyed his sword warily. “You have ten seconds to get off our property.” She gave Leona a thankful look when she showed up.

Jace shivered, looking around and watching as the few Voidbringers that were left slowly began to be finished off. He stopped trying to use his starlight abilities, leaning against Ax and hugging him, trembling. HE'd already admitted that those events had happened in his life, but... he wasn't ready to really face them. he had to keep from remembering. Yes he was in a better place- physically, emotionally, socially... but he wasn't mentally ready to handle it. He might be soon, especially with Ax being there for him forever now, a stabilizing force in the world. He might be able to handle facing the memories. Not now, but... maybe soon. He knew he'd need too if he wanted to be able to able to be who he needed to be. To help protect himself so Ax didn't have too. Ax already did so much... Besides- looking at the others, they needed someone to help them with this.
