He put a hand on her shoulder "You know, I always gave you advice, but right now I think I need some advice", he said as he forced a weak smile. "I... I... I killed." He said as he broke down, falling to his knees and beginning to sob. "Give me a moment?" Shana asked Ben and turned to James, wrapped her arms around him. He'd killed. She felt sick at the sight of him, at the memory of those she had merciless slain only minutes ago and yet it hadn't been enough. She should have killed that one as well. "I'm here." She whispered, held him close. There would be a time for words - later.

Her throat constricted even thinking of that. Her fingers brushed over the wet spots on her shirt where James tears had soaked a shirt and she felt oddly at piece. Numb maybe. She had killed. But now she could help a friend. One step after the other. She led him back to the house and then upstairs to their rooms. Her thoughts whirled around, she felt cold and empty, the blood on her cloths slowly drying. She opened the door to his room and then paused, waited for him to step inside, unsure if he was alright with her following him, or if he wanted to meet in a few minutes.

AonEne he/him Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 Quote This group legit needs therapy. I’m sending Cassie to therapy over the timeskip 3

AonEne he/him Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Quote Wyn - why not both Po, the 15-ish year timeskip between TKND and its sequel, The Knights Next Generation. On that note. I think everyone who’s going to vote on the poll has done so. Our plot will continue to function as it has, and Voidbringers will remain corrupted humans with Voidspren bonds. And I’ll need to protect myself from Dapper. Edit: Anything else we need to poll on? Edited October 31, 2019 by AonEne
Lunar Blessing she/her Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Quote Oh fun. Ashlyn will probably be in the marines as a fighter pilot at that point.

Jace isn't aware of Ax's desire to go into the Air force. If he does learn about it, trust me, he'll find a way to stick with him. He doesn't exactly have a dream career. Mostly he's just skilled in various artistic things- as expected- so he'll probably either become an actor, a teacher, or a marine. It depends on what he and Ax decide would be best. Marines if they want to stay together. Acting or teaching otherwise, as he won't really have anything else he really wants to do. @Sherlock Holmes
Lunamor she/her Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Ben followed Shana and James upstairs but went to his own room. He didn’t want to intrude on their conversation, and he could wait to check on James’s hand until afterwards.

We kind of agreed on that already, so idk if it's neccessary to undo that decision. And are the 15 years set? I think I am here. he/him Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Rob stood in the middle of the battlefield. Or rather, in the aftermath of the battle. Rock lay splashed about like water and large scorches marked the land leading up to some corpses. All in all, it was a mess of Voidbringer bodies, with not a single Radiant corpse in sight. Perhaps that would mean the Voidbringers would lay off the attacks. Perhaps it meant they would just send stronger adversaries. But that was the future. In the present, there was a pile of bodies and a large amount of blood, allmoutside what was supposed to look like a normal house. Even with their relative isolation, someone would find out sooner or later. Which meant someone had to take care of the bodies. Breathing in deeply, stormlight flowed from stray spheres on the battlefield into Rob, making him glow. Lifting a leg up he stomped into the ground, the area becoming soft and liquid, bodies sinking back into the stone. They weren’t gone, Rob knew he could never make the bodies completely gone. Just hidden beneath the surface. As all bodies were enveloped by the rock Rob stomped again and it was all over. No trace of an invasion. Rob nodded to himself at a job well done, but didn’t walk back to the house just yet.

He pulled the glasses from his pocket, the lenses were cracked. "Looks like I'll be needing new glasses." he noted. He turned back to Shana, "I don't think I was meant to kill." he whispered. "It just seems so diametrically opposed to what I find fulfilling in life- helping people grow, and get better" then he straightened his back, determined, "But I can't help you grow, if I let you die." He said, in epiphany, "It's a choice!", he rose to his feet, his eyes filled with renewed clarity. "If the gardener wants the flowers to grow, he has to deny the weeds their growth. He has to kill, so that his garden might be the best it can be." James broke into a wide eyed grin, that slowly faded once he noticed his hand, still tinged with gray. "But all actions have consequences." Quote Surprise! James had an epiphany! I gave James a taste of how I perceive Cultivation- She wants things to grow, but in order for some things to grow, other things have to die. Also, I was a bit tired of writing Angsty James- and he does feel like the character who would probably be the best equipped to deal with trauma. He's already really solid mentally.
