Rob answered her look with a blank stare.

“We are fifteen radiants against one Voidbringer. We have seen worse odds.” And the loop of being attacked, responding, killing some Voidbringers and watching the rest retreat for another day had become standard. No new information had been gathered, they were in the same place as they had started, always ripe to be attacked again. So why not scour one Voidbringer for information?

Uh... could we hold off on this for a day?

But how long is an IC day? that's taken anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks in the past.

Why are we holding off?

On three, Shana ran forward, and Cassie ran too, teeth clenched tight, hands clenched tighter on the grip of her Blade. Her eyes were locked on the Voidbringers, then flickered tensely down to the glowing weapon in her palms -

And she tripped over her feet, knees skidding into the lawn and limbs tangling together. The Shardblade came down and sliced the tips of her fingers; she sucked in Stormlight almost before her skin shaded gray, the cold Light like knives in her lungs, and the skin blushed back to tan. She jumped back up, seeing Shana turning a man to ashes, hearing Nym swear the Immortal Words, and feeling her heart jump in her chest.

A bubble of Light surrounded the last Voidbringer, and agonized cries tore out of it, one long intermixing roar of pain until it all suddenly stopped and the Voidbringer was senseless on the ground. Cassie put one hand on the side of the house, steadying herself. That was a Lightweaver’s trick - Jace’s?

As talk began about taking the Voidbringer capture and holding them to question, Cassie closed her eyes, forced thoughts of shame from her head. All it had taken was one look at Joy and she’d lost all orientation. I’ll get over this, she vowed to herself. I have to. She listened to the conversation, not speaking.

This IC day is almost over, right? A lot of stuff has happened.

What hasn't happened is the meeting of Voidbringers (did I post that in the thread yet? I can't remember...).

Shana stumbled over to Cass, placed a hand on her arm. She was pale, her back felt strangely warm from the blood running down and at the same time she started to feel cold.

"Can someone put him in manacles, blindfold him and get him into the cellar?"

She asked loudly, still looking at Cass. "Do you want to talk?" She offered quietly. "Or train?" Training always helped her when she was feeling bad.

James walked into the room, nearly spitting out his punch as he saw the Voidbringer being tied up. "Why is it, whenever we have reason to celebrate, we end up with some of this nonsense?" He asked, more to himself than anybody else.

I don’t remember either, Xino. Now might be a good time to make a poll, see if that thing we talked about in the PM is all right with everyone?

“I would like that,” Cassie said quietly, then noticed Shana’s white face and said a little louder, “Hey, you need healing.”

Shana gave a weak smile. "Missed one moving behind me." She leaned on her weapon, swayed slightly. "Ben can patch me up, and then we can spar." Tiredly she closed her eyes. "It's cold isn't, it?" She asked, wondered if they could light their fireplace.

*shrug* I don't really feel like the situation has changed a whole lot since our original discussion. The actual event in question is still quite a ways off, especially in OC time.

@Sorana could these be some of the Voidbringers left over from the attack at the prom? The ones that used the seed stones?

“It is January.” Cass’s mouth quirked. “Winter is the worst. Come on.” She offered an arm supportively.

Yes, and I believe it was decided in that discussion to ask. And if the majority of people don’t want it to happen, we will want some time to come up with a new plan. (Personally my plan is to actually write a day in school, for once. Or to have a day in school happen, since Cassie wouldn’t strictly be attending.)

We never decided on the month, did we? Is January okay?

Evelyn reached the back of the house and began peering out the windows. She didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but something felt wrong. Maybe it was just worry, feeling like nothing could be alright when those creatures were around.

She began covering the windows with the aon edo shields anyways. It wouldn't hurt to be careful, and it gave her something to do with her hands as a thought began to trickle into her mind.

The voidbringers at the front of the house had been using powers too. They had been glowing with the same not-light as before, and one had been flying. Another had been moving at a strangely fast speed. There were radiants that could do that. Windrunners could fly, and edgedancers could glide over the ground, moving quickly without running.

A chill raced down Evelyn's spine, causing her back injury to burn again. What if the voidbringers were the same as the radiants, just inverted? Using not-light instead of stormlight. Hurting instead of helping, but with the same powers as the normal radiants? If it were true, then just because she couldn't see any voidbringers didn't mean they weren't there. There were radiants who could create illusions. Could the voidbringers do the same?

Her hands had stilled as she considered the thought, but now they continued with renewed speed, working furiously to cover the windows and door. But what if that trapped them inside? Did the others know? Had they thought about the possibility of illusions? There could be more voidbringers closing in at any moment, closing in to attack the unaware radiants.

She finished closing off the door and windows and raced back through the house towards the others. She could ask them. They would know. Wouldn't they? They would know how to tell if there were illusions, or tell her that there was nothing to worry about. Evelyn reached the living room. "Guys -" Her eyes fell on the voidbringer in the middle of the floor. "WHY IS THERE A VOIDBRINGER INSIDE THE HOUSE!?!"

Shana stepped forward to take her arm, vision bluring. January. Of course it was cold. The knife hurt when she walked, but Cass's arm was there and she leaned on her heavily, felt her stormlight continue to heal her. The knife, if it stayed where it was, it her flesh might close around it. Reaching to her side she pulled it out, the pain robbing her breath, more blood running down her legs. So... much... blood... Her legs gave way and she tried to hold on to Cass to remain standing, but her fingers felt weak, unable to do more than hold on a little.

I'd like to finish the current scene, and a school day sounds great as well. In general we maybe just vote on the possibe directions and then go on?

Cassie tried to hold her up, but Shana was dropping to the ground. “Ben!” she yelled. “Help!” @Lunamor

Ashlyn run to the sound of panicked yelling. Skidding to a stop the first thing she notices is the blood.

“Who am I getting,” She asks knowing they probably had magical healers, “And cover it to try and contain the bleeding while I do.”

“Ben, he was over by the house last I saw,” Cassie gasped. What do I put on the wound in the meantime? She looked around wildly.

"Got it, cover it with something made of cloth" A name I regognize, that's good. Running off she bursts into house, spotting the person she needs she run up.

"Shana's hurt, outside, she's bleeding a lot." She says, slightly winded.

Ben didn’t even pause to see who had been talking to him before he sucked in as much stormlight as he could and ran outside, carrying several more bags of spheres and internally cursing himself for not setting up somewhere with a better vantage point. He reached Shana and knelt by her side, dropping the bags nearby. He placed his hand directly next to the wound to heal it as quickly as possible. As he focused, the bleeding slowed to a trickle then completely stopped as the tear in her back started to close. His glow faded significantly, and he sat down to catch his breath. Without the stormlight, the strain of healing was less easily overcome. He kept his eyes on Shana, moving some spheres close to her head and watching to see if she was still conscious or not.

Edwin had stopped to just turn back and see. Getting a weapon? What was the point? It was all over in seconds. They were a great team and all of them miles ahead of him. The time he had been on the house was still relatively short, but in that time barely anything had happened. It seemed like he had all the time in the world to become a good Radiant, but these last few days had turned those expectations upside down.

It was still a mistery to him why he had become a Radiant. From what he knew, Radiants were people with bad memories. Those who had seen things they want to forget, the kind of thing that breaks you, those were the people who encountered spren. The others in the house, they didn't seem to be any different. He didn't ask, he didn't have the right but, sometimes, the look on their faces was enough to know. Life had been harsh for them, and it had given them a chance to make things better, for them and for the rest of the world. After all, who was better suited to fight for a better life than those who knew how bad it could be?

Except he didn't. Life wasn't a bad memory for him, he had lost people close to him, true, but no more than anyone else, he was a lucky person.

And that meant he didn't have the right to be here.

He knew that but even so, he didn't want to give up, not in the beginning and even less now that he knew what they were fighting against and not now that he knew these people who were willing to risk their lives for those of others. He wanted to catch up and be able to stand by their side, fight with them, he wanted to earn that right.

But they were just so fast.

Edwin walked up to the others, the fight was over but they had been hurt and one of the Voidbringers was still alive, not to mention there could be more, somewhere, hiding. Things could get bad again any second. Even so, they seemed to have everything under control, how did they do it?

He was about to offer help but, with what? They had everything sorted out already. Instead he just walked outside and stood there, so in case there were more, at least he would be able to alert the others. It was a really small step, but still better than sitting around, watching the others work.

Nvm was just standing around wondering what to do to help, she saw Edwin leave, there was a Voidbringer in the house, and she just swore the third Ideal.  "I'll be back in a minute" she said to no one in particular.  There was something she had always wanted to do.

I would rather put off the debate until after the current plot points are resolved, personally. That's what my intention was.

Nym flew.  It felt like... she wasn't sure, but it was storming amazing.  She went as far as her stormlight would let her, then went back to the house.  The "flight" left her dazed, but grinning like an idiot.  She went inside, grabbed a taco, and sat on the couch, still grinning.

Does anyone want to come talk to Nym?:D
