“Adventure indeed, Xino, my friend,” Jaywalk said. “Would you like to join our company of travelers?”

A portal opened behind him, and three people stepped through—a young girl dressed in armor, a reptilian man with dual blades, and a tall woman in mage’s clothing.

Xinoehp sniffed. "I've told you a hundred times, my name's not Xino."

But he took a step closer to the party, as if to examine them.

“Ooh, a portal? Where does it lead Jay?” Truthless asked.

[Zephrun’s Imperium they/he]

"Probably to adventure," SoT said.

[Truthless of Shinovar he/him]

“Sounds good to me,” Truthless said, walking towards the portal.

However, to Truthless’s disappointment the portal only lead to a world of history textbooks.

But they did have cool pictures. So that was something.

Truthless sighed, ransacked the library, then stepped back into the real world after bidding farewell to the lizard man who ended being the librarian.

Little did he know that pulling on one of the books led to a secret room.

“Adventure?” Truthless asked, dashing back to the library.

Unfortunately, Truthless didn’t know about the secret door. So there was no adventure for him.

But Luna did, and decided to tell him

”There is a secret door hidden somewhere.”

Truthless read Lunamor’s post, then proceeded to rip all of the books off the shelf, then found the secret compartment, and found.....

The mage stepped forward, mumbling a spell.

”It’s hidden from your eyes,” Jaywalk said. “The void hosts many a portal, but most lead to dangerous places where no man would dare travel.”

A blue bolt shot forth from the mage’s fingers, spearing a book and shooting into the wall. The wood began to swirl, changing colors, and revealed a second portal, to another dimension. It showed rolling green hills and a straight path leading over them. Smoke curled into the air behind the hill.

Jaywalk smiled. “After you.”

[Truthless of Shinovar he/him]

“Sounds good to me!” Truthless said, grabbing his portrait and running through the other portal.

[Ghanderflaffle she/her]

Ghanderflaffle wanted to join the adventure since she had been gone, and so she ran after Truthless.

[Lunamor she/her]

Luna decided to be that mentor character who knew everything but for some reason decided not to tell the main character any useful information.
