"Me? One of his closest friends?" Thaidakar shook his head slowly. "We were rivals at best. We had a few fundamental disagreements."

"Rivals? Strange. My Author told me that you were one of the few Nameless trusted."

Thaidakar blinked, "I... What are you here for anyways?"

“I told you. Advice on being hated. Mythos seems to hate you, and a lot of other people do so as well. How did you handle that?”

A human riding a yak riding a crocodile riding a pig, who was eating chouta, walked by.

"I didn't handle it as much as ignore it." Thaidakar sighed. "Mythos dislikes me, but doesn't hate me. Spook..." Thaidakar grimaced. "That's partially my fault."

“Hmm. You think I should do the same?”

"I'm hardly a professional, Subversion."

"I didn't expect you to be. I only want some honest advice."

Thaidakar considered for a minute. Finally, he said, "Well... there is one thing. Don't let them get to you. Take whatever they say light heartedly and with humor. Do your best to do good. That's what I tried to do..." He seemed to look far off. "It's not as if I ever actually ended up doing good..." He sighed. "No good dwelling in the past. How's Mythos doing?"

"He seemed to be doing fine, last I saw him. There was some person pretending to be him, I think."

"Hmm..." There was something Thaidakar was forgetting... he just didn't know what.

"Well, unless you have some message for him, I think you should head back to the afterlife now. Have fun doing... whatever it is people do in the afterlife."

"I'll be back sometime... farewell." Thaidakar disappeared.

Subversion nodded thoughtfully as Thaidakar left, taking some notes in her how-to-Narrator book. Now, she just had to figure out what changes to make to someone else...

Meanwhile, the pig finished its chouta. So the crocodile ate the pig. Then the yak ate the crocodile, and the human ate the yak. It was quite a distressing scene for all those present.

Platypus looked at that and gasped. Then he took a mental note to remember that new people could be Subversion's avatar and to be wary of them. (He had used spatial rending to listen to the conversation. Who wouldn't?)

Unfortunately, the ghost of the yak was eaten by the ghost of the crocodile. The ghost of the pig felt unappreciated, so it ate the ghost of the crocodile.
