They currently had 0% of their children with them.

Max was long gone.

He had gotten lost in the Cognitive Realm.

His parents were unaware of this, however.

Since they had decided to stay in a time where they still had children.

A bucket of water awoke them to the realization.

"Excuse me," the bucket of water said politely. Then he explained the whole situation to Kelsier and Jasnah.

Kelsier and Jasnah woke up, wrapped in chains and hanging upside down over a pit of lava.

The bucket finished showing them the vision of chains and lava pits. “So you see, that is why you must never spray your garden with all-purpose cleaner. Oh, and Max is kind of lost in the cognitive realm.”

Kelsier, of course, had experience with the Cognitive Realm.

During that class, they'd also talked about Shadesmor, a mysterious place caused by misinformed parents.

But they did... Kelsnah things, anyway, and soon a child was born.

To the Ghanderflaffle empire. An heir to the king was born, and as was traditional, the current king began making plans for his eldest brother to "kill" him so that he can retire.
