Just butting in to say I exist, but the last couple days have been busy and it's going to take a VERY long time to catch up on 370 posts. I'm not going to vote now because I'm uneducated as to what's going on and I don't want to be a sheep.

It's fascinating to me how much playing/spectating the championship has affected some of us. I think that might be one of the main reasons the post count is as high as it currently is for Day 1. 9 hours ago, this wasn't the highest post count in a day, but it was up there, I think. But now? We have more posts in this day than some of the entire previous games. o.O

It doesn't take much effort as an eliminator (or as a villager), but it can lead to an increased chance of elims slipping up (something I have personally found useful:  My opening PM to Lopen in QF23 was even weaker (I only sent it because that game had a 1-PM-started-per-day rule), and Lopen slipping up in that PM ended up turning the game from elim domination to something that went right down to the wire).  I didn't see that separation into groups of 3; did I miss it?  (I wasn't able to get on for the first few hours of the game, so in going through the rest I'm sure I missed some things), and obviously didn't see anything from your one-on-one.

Actually, that was Drought. :P Like I've ever slipped up. ;)

Okay, I quoted all of his posts, but honestly I'm really not sure after reading all of his posts and there wasn't a lot to respond to so I deleted all of them except that one above because I had to set the record straight. :P

Ummm, I think his reasoning for defending Straw was a little strange, and I didn't agree with his reasons for voting Rand(although I think I can see it coming from a villager). It's just, I'm not sure if he's trying to take advantage of the situation to get rid of Rand, or he genuinely thought he was the PO and it was a good idea to lynch him. Besides that, him switching his read of Rand to Neutral/maybe elim to Neutral/probably village is a little strange, since he seemed to have changed his mind solely from Aman defending Rand. That's pretty much the whole case against Yitzi.

@Seonid, why did you vote Yitzi?

I was wondering about that Wilson. I know we've had a couple 200 posts or so D1 before, but this blows everything away I'm sure. :o

I noticed it with Stick for sure. Can't figure out who else you're referring to, though. 293630822177701890.png

Partly you as well. You've always been active and trying to engage players and generate discussion, but this is....more. It's like that previous activity on steroids or something. You've channeled that necessity to ask questions and get people talking straight from the championship into here. Between those questions and people responding, the thread has exploded far more than even our most talkative D1 and there are still 4 more hours left in the day. Granted, those hours are going to be less talkative, but I'm betting we'll get at least another page.

I'm playing a little differently as well. My post activity isn't really any different, but there are some other changes. Mainly terminology right now, but I'm fairly certain that were my alignment different, there would even more.

I was mostly joking :P the fact that I've double posted three or four times now was a pretty good indicator. I figured I'd take a break from doing wall posts, and I kind of like giving my thoughts in real time / trying to get people to do the same.

Yeah. I saw you mention in the discord how MU's a bit... overbearing with the use of terminology, but I do like some. Curious to see what other changes in your play style there'd be if you weren't neutral.

Yeah. Some I don't like (predominately WIFOM, since IKYK is literally the same thing and it's much easier to explain), some I do. Townread (as opposed to village read, which isn't really any different, but townread is just...simpler), tinfoil. A few others I can't think of right now.

They're good changes. The real time posting last year was problematic since it was more like early-game Lute (aka, pointless), but this year was real time mixed with analysis still and that's easily something that would work here. And I like it, even if I'm not doing it right now.

I kind of like luteposting. It might not be useful for solving the game, but it's nice for keeping the game more casual / fun.

Ah yeah. That reminds me.

Is this bell just because of Straw association, or did something else about this post set off your radar?

Gut + Says Randuir wasn't much when by my count he'd said more than BR + Straw Association Obvs.

Then you come in with a wagon, get pocketed and I can't wait for Yitzi to be village. Which he clearly is.

How is Yitzi clearly village?

Nah too lazy. Tell me in ours if it's sensitive?

It ain't sensitive.

Yitzi is just more paranoid than like other paranoid people. No fun allowed, no disarming tactics.

He's my most towny player.

Okay, thanks. I really wish I could interact with him myself right now but he's AFK and I need to sleep soon.

Can an eliminator who's here right now be suspicious? I'd hate myself if we suddenly lynched Yitzi without him being around to defend himself, especially if he is actually a villager.

Quoting this because I'll still be around for a little bit and we're not going to learn anything new by continuing to push Yitzi without him being here. Guess I should go back to reading Brightness' posts so I can form a solid opinion on her in the meantime.

@Amanuensis @STINK I seem to gather suspicion lately no matter what I do :P

I tried to vote early cuz people always get mad at me for voting late in the cycle, but once I was convinced that Rand was more likely village by all of the discussion then I switched to another player I suspected because I wanted to help with the lynch before I went to bed. And now stink is apparently suspicious of me for that too? Even though I had already said I was going to vote for a different one of the players I had previously stated suspicion of and once aman and Lopen voted Yitzi I checked my suspicions post from page 9 and he was one of the players I suspected so I voted on him.

I don't know what else to say besides that I'm just trying to figure out the best way to find and lynch an elim. If I look suspicious doing that I don't know how to help it.

Well I'm still way up for lynching Straw, so that'd be nice.

Seems like an obvious mislynch to me /shrug
