So I am not a skindancer. I was hoping to get some answers on my GM PM before posting in here but it's been a while and

I was hoping to get an answer before posting but it has taken a while. Anyways, I am not a skindancer, I am not attending the university. I can't get elevated so I'm going to let everyone who hasn't figured out that I am going to not go to school ever again because it is useless to me. If anyone wants to know anything about Imre let me know because I will be there a lot(all the time).

Hael, we all know you're not a skin cancer. Skin cancers happen to be unable to type.

We would like confirmation that you're not a Skindancer, though.

Clearly, you haven't met my friend Armando.

Seriously, though, Hael, we want an alignment claim.

Oops. My phone thinks that 'skindancer' should be 'skin cancer'. I've caught it a few times, but not this time, obviously. Though I must say, I do find it amusing.

I am not a skindancer. And I really hope that this game doesn't have standard elimination proportions, because if that is the case we are kinda sunk, unless the skindancers keep failing to hit people (or hit people that die from mercenaries).

Yeah, everyone needs to get their lodging orders because at this rate, they just have to sit back and watch mercenaries slaughter us all...

Pyra had retreated underneath her favorite tree again. So many fellow students had died recently and... quite frankly it scared- no, terrified her. So she wrote about it. And then started to form some of her scrawlings into another song. Just a short little thing, but, it was something, just a little something, like a tribute to her dead fellow students. She sung it quietly to herself.

"Sunrise, sunset

Sunrise, sunset

Swiftly flow the months

Students die overnight on the streets

Vanishing even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset

Sunrise, sunset

Swiftly fly the terms

One tragedy following another

Laden with insanity and tears..."

Clanky, you can't be there every term though, can you?

Why can't I be there every turn? Do people think it would be worthwhile for me to post everything that's for sale and the prices each turn? (Obviously not copy-paste cause that's not allowed) Is that info people could use?

There has been time for people to put enough points in to become a master hasn't there? I guess nobody has been elevated enough for it though.

The rules talk about being elevated to el'the (or other ranks), but it says that when you get 15 EP in a field as an El'the you just become the master. So will we get a notice if someone becomes a master?

If we don't, it is possible that there is a master out there

Clanky, I believe the rules mention that you can go to Imre once a cycle. It could be different for someone in your position, though.

Have you tried for your Pipes yet? If you could get your hands on a set of those, and stay at the Mews, you could suddenly go from an extra head for discussion to the Village MVP.

We almost literally cannot afford to lose any more players, which means that the most valuable roles right now are protectors. And, as I have discovered myself, the most powerful protection role in this game is not a Physicker, it's a generous rich guy.

Bloodless make ideal gifts, because they are literally useless to the Skindancers. The only thing you risk is the 5 talents you paid for it. I recommend you start buying them by the shipment, and distribute them liberally.

If you're willing, I'd take regular updates on Assassin and Bodyguard prices, and the availability of Grams. I'd like even better to be kept aware of the state of Black Market contracts.

It just occurred to me that you guys have a much more valid reason to target me and Stink than trying to play the odds. We are the only players who could realistically afford to Assassins on anything resembling a regular basis. With Clanky and myself about to do our darnedest to devalue the Bloodless, the Skindancers are going to have to rely far more heavily on kills.

Assuming we don't do that part for them. *sigh*

The mercenary situation in Imre is clearly getting out of hand, by the way, and the mayor or townmaster or whoever the heck is in charge of that cesspit needs to get on top of that. One fatal encounter with a drunken mercenary is a tragic accident. Two or three probably indicates a need for social reform. What we've got going here is a sizeable band of remorseless serial killers living happy and unmolested in the middle of your town. If we consider ourselves a reasonably representative cross-section of life in Imre and the University, then something like 20-30% of the city population have to be murderers. That's ridiculous, Imre ruler guy, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I can do that. I'm already trying for my pipes and was planning on moving to the mews next term anyways. Is there a limit on how many thing you can buy in a cycle? Also do things like bodyguards and bloodless not come into affect until the next month? If so could I get some protection from someone this month so that I'm not immediately sabotaged again?

BB's Bloodless went off the turn I gave it to him, so you should be fine.

I honestly wonder whether Bodyguards are worth it. Las I saw, they were twice the price of a Gram, for essentially the same protection.

To be fair, though, Grams are rarer, as evidenced by the fact that I have never once seen one for sale (I'm told they've been there, just never at the same time as me).

Sorry I haven't posted much, I've been busy with my MR going up and trying to RP to get my tuition down. I should be able to post more next turn.

I am not a skindancer.

"Sure I will," Tooky said to Wil as she smiled. Huh. He hadn't thought that would actually work. But he knew he had been right, enough pressure and anyone will break. Tooka was going to be his tonight.

She looked at the ground, suddenly shy. Strange, but welcome. Wil smiled broadly and put his arm around her. "Come on, then. My rooms are this way." He headed for the Horse and Four, Touka in hand.

The whole way there, the girl was quiet and shy. She let slip small pieces of her life, but nothing much. Just that she was an El'the already, and that astonished Wil. He'd spent every term studying, but this girl had passed him up. Then again, she had shown her worth in kicking him to the ground.

"Here we are," Wilem said as he shut the door to his room. "Should we begin?"

Well that went horribly ;/  I am going to vote for DeathClutch If I remember correctly he is normally a vocal player while this game I have seen very very little of him.

STINK, how many turns have you gone to Imre? Actually I should probably ask that to all the #NoElevationMasterRace. Just want to know how much EP you actually have out there and what the odds really are that none of you have been elevated.

I want to vote for Burnt as she seems to be one of the most suspicious but I know people don't like voting on Edema Ruh which seems like a good way of avoiding votes. I would like to have her scanned with the truth tester thing though. She's only posted once this cycle and there is no chance for there to be any other true/false statements other than the I am a Skindancer post.

EDIT: Just realized that it is only me and STINK who haven't been elevated. So that sentence isn't necessary.

Dow what is this misconception of me being a vocal player? Guys i've played like 3 games and I barely ever talk. That's my play style i'm sorry? Also if memory serves me right you aren't very active either Dow..

"Should we begin?" Wilem said. Touka smiled and said "Yes, we shall". Touka leaned in to Wilem and kissed him, she tried to make it as passionate as she could. Kissing wasn't really her strong suit but she sold the kiss well enough.

Suddenly there was a loud snapping sound in the room. Touka looked down and there was Wilem's leg, she had broken it with a swift kick. Before Wilem had time to react Touka hit Wilem in the jaw with an elbow. She thought she felt Wilem's jaw crack. Touka couldn't stop smiling.

"Well Wilem, you got what you asked for. I broke you in your room. I hope that you are quite satisfied with the result" Touka said with happily. "Maybe next time we meet we can be friends cause remember im doing this to help cure that attitude of yours" she stated as she smiled and turned to the door. Touka was so happy, feeling Wilem's bones break under the force of her own kick was extremely satisfying. Just before she left the room she said "Oh and if you tell anyone about this, i might break a little more than your legs, this was self defense anyway haha" the door shut as she walked out.

DeathClutch, yes I haven't been active which has resulted in me not posting all that much although I have posted.  You on the other hand have obviously been active.  You responded within a half hour of me calling you out, you have been elevated a bunch so you obviously have put in actions which it seems like a lot of people haven't and you make RP posts, but virtually no game related posts.

You are one of my highest suspects of being a skindancer and that is why I am voting for you. DeathClutch

Dow, I responded because you voted for me?

Also i put in the actions of spending EP and where to live, which only has to be done once every 96 hours which doesn't require to much activity. So how about some actual evidence? and the RP posts are to lower tuition cause i keep getting put on the horns due to random votes. I mean Elbereth has been elevated as much as me and shes about as active as me.

Edit:

Also i'm only on Cause i'm helping Maill GM MR:12. Thats why I responded so quickly.

Elbereth, Death Clutch. As I said before, I don't think it is beneficial to the students to have someone become a master, unless we have proof beyond the shadow of a doubt that they're a student.

Joe, only Out of Game discussion needs to be blue. Because of that, I'm not sure your "I am not a skindancer" will count.

The lynch becomes much more effective when we do have students become Masters, though, Joe. They can then actually act on their suspicions, ensuring that their suspects at least have a chance of being roleblocked, or at most, expelled. Right now the lynch is basically randomized between anyone who gets a single vote on them. In fact, we've not once succeeded in expelling anyone. I don't agree at all with your idea on Masters.

Because there are very few votes out and I should not be one of the expelled ones, I'm going to put another vote on Stink. I think there's almost guaranteed to be a Vintish Skindancer, and not just for RP reasons, and Stink is the one I suspect more than the rest.

Touka was a surprisingly good kisser, though she seemed out of practice. She had fire, though, that was for sure. Wilem was very glad he had finally broken through, even if it had taken a month. These moments were what Wil lived for. Then his leg caught fire.

His shin had been snapped and, as he collapsed to the ground, gasping in pain, Touka slammed her elbow into his jaw, cracking something. The girl said something about hoping to be friends, what? She just broke his leg! Through his delirium, he heard her say something about her hurting him to teach him a lesson about his attitude.

Then she threatened him. The gall of this Yllish girl. She broke his leg and jaw and then threatened him if he told anyone. Kraem! Kraem! Wil had tears rushing down his face and he was lying on the ground of his room with two broken bones. He managed to crawl to the bellrope that would summon someone to serve him. He'd have to come up with some excuse about falling off his bed or something else lame, but he was not risking Touka killing him. That fireball was one he didn't know if he could touch without getting burned.
