Have any of you ever wondered if we have met another Sharder, but just didn't realize? How would we know?

It's unlikely.  Though while I know where some of you are, there are quite a few whose cities of residence are a mystery to me.

I was unaware that Confirmation involved slapping. :P

More a light pat on the face as you leave the altar, but it's more fun to say I've been slapped by a Bishop. :P

Does it count if the only Sharder I know in person is my mother? I think it counts.

Meeting a Sharder who didn't give birth to me would be awesome, though.

I was wondering the same thing.

The only other people I know that read Sanderson are some of my mom's friend's husbands.

I dream of a Sandercon.

Edit: I just checked the map. Apparently, the closest sharder to me is KChan, who lives in Tampa, which is about 3 hours away. *sigh*

We all do. -_- A place where Sharders can debate the merits of covering their safehands, compare mistcloaks and mistcoats, and try to Awaken their souvenir straw men while dining on chouta.

There could be a guild luncheon and everyone could have a tshirt with their username and profile picture on it. People would randomly quote the books and everyone would get the reference.

Oregon RPers would say "And then Nighthound died" as a parting blessing. DA members would pop out from behind corners, the interior linings of their coats hiding cookies.

Mrs Voidus is on the shard? Under that name?

Very occasionally and mostly just on the Reckoners RP.

If the Sharder's Stalking Guide map is accurate, I may be living about 30 minutes away from someone here.

I wonder what the chances are that I've seen a Sharder in RL before...

After reading all y'all's posts about not knowing other Sharders in person, I feel spoiled. I'm one of the lucky people who lives in Provo, Utah, where there are lots of Sharders.

I live in Tucson, where there are a lot of retirees who read a lot of Clive Cussler. So if I wanted to find Clive Cussler fans, I'd be in luck. <_<

14 upvotes away from being on the top 50 Rep. Sigh....

My dream may never come true.

I remember those days, checking my rep every five minutes. You'll get there eventually.

There seem to be two sharders in sweden. The closest one to me who I have any kind of interaction however with is Edgedancer.

So, question for anyone who's seen it: My parents left the cable hooked up here for now, and On Demand has Mad Max: Fury Road available for free. Should I watch it?

Now I havent watched it, but both a friend of mine and my sister (who both watch too many movies for it to be healthy) loves it, and it figuratively won a million Oscars. Go for it.

Until we get a Shardcon, I think the closest thing in existence is JordanCon.  Which I am going to this year.

Yes!  (I haven't seen it yet, but that's a point of shame for me.)

I liked it! It may or may not be your cup of tea, but it's definitely worthy of a watch. :)

Am I the only one who doesn't know another Sharder in person? (To be fair, I have one Sanderfan friend and another who's read SA, but neither is on this site.)

Try being one of four (or something around it) Sharders in entire country  One of my relatively-close friends was a Sanderfan before I did (I found out recently) but the guy doesn't even have Facebook....

On another note, week ago I made a crossover cable at the university. Today I used it to transfer files between computers (although configuring the connection was still hard). First time I actually used something I learned in real life (apart from all the math and physics I do subconsciously all the time :D)

Watching Fury Road now. So far so good.

"Do not, my friends, become addicted to water."

Isn't....isn't everyone on Earth addicted to water? It being a life-sustaining thing and all?

"Air is the enemy, my friends! Do not let oxygen rule your lives!"
