We should create new things by adding prefix "neuro-" to them. Think about it. Neuroalchemy. Neurocooking. Neurogeometry.

Oooh! This is fun!

Not being familiar with MTG, the first Jace I though of was Jace from the Mortal Instruments, which wasn't a pleasant association for me.

0.0 Brandon is now writing a book with Jace as a character. . . Maybe I can finally get my brother to read Sanderson novels now. . .

Good grief.  I've got a Jace in Swift as Steel.

Poor Bruce is nervous, me and him being the only people—well, living beings, I suppose—in the house right now. He's barking and growling at nothing.

He'll be ok, dogs tend to get confused at a change of environment quickly but they also tend to adjust pretty quickly too. Cats are better with immediate change but they mope around for months.

Yeah, it only took him a few days to adjust when it was just me and my sister, so I think he'll be all right with this one, too. I wish I had tomorrow off, though. I work a 9-hour shift, and I think it'd be easier on him if I were home all day. I plan to leave some music on for him and put all of his toys and one of my shoes downstairs with him. (He likes to cuddle with my shoes, for some reason. I think because they smell like me.

I have had several pets with weird shoe obsessions, my old cat used to walk around with them on his head like a helmet.

I used to have a cat who would get obsessed over my shoes and my mom's after we'd gone outside, come back in, and taken them off. He was indoor cat, so the only time he got to go outside was when we supervised him, and he would go and rub his face all over our shoes, rolling on them like they were catnip and drooling all over them. He drooled whenever we got him purring too hard, too. He was a super friendly cat and loved sitting on our laps while we watched movies on the couch, especially if we draped a blanket over our legs, so "purring too hard" happened often.

I've only read the first mortal instruments + heard people discussing spoilers -

Isn't Jace the guy whose her brother but isn't but is, and he's set up as the mysterious hot dude in book one but actually acts pretty rude the whole way through?

I... think so? I tried to give those books a chance once, but while book one showed a little potential, book two just made me regret even trying.

Hmmm... I never realized that Darths & Droids is made by Australians.

EDIT: Also, Kaymyth, how's the caucus going? Is the Caucus feeling the Bern?

Dunno yet - registration doesn't start till 1 PM, and it's 9:45.  I am going to enjoy not being around people for another few hours, and maybe get my butt in gear and finish commenting on the story I'm supposed to be betaing.

Also, one of the weird things about being in my 30s is that sleeping till 9:00 actually FEELS like sleeping in.

I know! It's so weird! Of course, Bruce usually wakes me up around 7, but I'll wake up around 8 on my own most days anyway. Funny how late 9 feels.

And while we're on the subject of adulting:

It doesn't get any better in your 30s.  You just get more skilled at looking purposeful in your bumbling.
