Especially because no one wants a cactus.

You want a cactus? Come on over to AZ. You can take all the cactuses you want. Except saguaros, since they're a protected species and moving or damaging one is illegal. Seriously, if you hit one of those with your car, there's a fine.

As the owner of 3 lovely cacti, I have to disagree. I love my cacti. I want more. :D

They're great until you're surrounded by them. Trust me, nature walks are a lot less enjoyable when you have to watch your step for fear of being stabbed by a prickly pear or attacked by a jumping cholla.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants a plant that they can't see outside the window. :) If you have lots of cacti outside the window, you don't want potted cacti. :D Well, in Poland we have no wild cacti. I just seek exotic (for me) stuff.

But I have to admit that everytime I need to plant my cacti in a bigger pot I suddenly start to hate them.

Kobold, have you read Dark Lord of Derkholm by Diana Wynne Jones? The main character's a wizard/biologist/genetics nerd who literally creates hybrid species (such as griffins, pegasi, man-eating tulips) while screwing around with magic and genes.

Haven't read that one, but I know I want to.

His antics in species creation aren't the main plot, but a very entertaining aspect of the story nonetheless.

Either way, this particular duology is one of my all-time favorites. I highly recommend it. :)

Speak for yourself! I miss the various cacti (even the teddy bear cactus), the mesquite, the palo verde... Sigh...we just have lotus trees here and they are all kinds of annoying.

Am I the only ones that doesn't like pugs? O.o

No.

And I am unsure of what a "caucus" is, since american elections are rusting weird, but I have nothing against any cactus.

It's a thing that's like a primary, only instead of having a nice secret ballot, you have to go to this thing with a bunch of your neighbors and vote publicly.

i.e. it's stupid

Well, it's settled then:  caucuses suck.

I sat there on a set of uncomfortable bleachers for almost three hours.  There was a small cadre of obnoxious frat boy types who were seriously annoying the crem out of me, and the whole thing was just unpleasant.

Still, Bernie won 75%-24%, so there's that.

I am the silliest of moos @.@

Their cover of Child in Time was pretty great too. Even without the screams, but to be fair not even Ian Gillan himself can do those screams anymore.

Have you ever wanted to hear Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" as done by a medieval cover band?

No?

Silly moo. Of course you have. You just didn't know it until now.

That was awesome.

And I'm enough of a music nerd that I recognized some of those instruments.  (She was playing a shawm!  IN TUNE!  That's amazeballs!)

OK, so I am drinking my Bunny Foo Foo now.

Only instead of cutting teh kalhua with milk, I cut it with Bailey's.

And then there was still more space, so I added more kahlua.

This is so much alcohol, gusy.  YAY TIPSY KAYMYTH

I dunno.  Pretty quiet around here.  I drunk-texted Twi until I realized that it was easier to type via PM.

Well, tipsy-texted.  Mostly, my brain is still here, it's just my equilibrium and coordination is frelled.  I'm mostly typing OK, though.

Just...don't ask to me walk in a straight line.  Or word perfectly.

Ah, texting, something I rarely do.

Thats ok, it is 3.20am. I cant english properly.

I have an urge to pretend I can hit the high notes in old 80s Metal songs, but my family is asleep. I dont think they would enjoy being awoken by me pretending I can sing high... I mean, I have hit a high C in pathetic, thin headvoice, cant sing above like... an E though... if I am lucky. An F# when I am really lucky, a G when the stars are right and the moon is blue.

Am I the only one who doesn't know another Sharder in person? (To be fair, I have one Sanderfan friend and another who's read SA, but neither is on this site.)
