@Queen Elsa Steelheart Just catching up on the thread. I'm so sorry you're currently going through this. *Hugs* Having already seen this play out personally however, I'd be grateful if you could provide us with a couple pieces of information, although it's perfectly fine and understandable if you don't feel like it.

If you were to do something brash, do you know what it would be? If you finally snapped, and decided you just couldn't take it any more, do you have it all planned out in your mind how you'd handle it, how you'd just make all the pain go away? If so, would you mind sharing?

And I'm back here with a vengeance

I’m so storming mad. The stupid school nurse is an imbecile. I stormed out of sickbay. I storming hate school.

So basically, I’ve been coughing for two days now and my throat was really dry. I needed a streusel (throat medicine) and excused myself from the class. The nurse sometimes works with my mum so she knows me well. There was a boy in there who was taking ages with his bruise and I asked if she could quickly give me a strepsil cause I’m in Ancient HSC/ Year 12 and I had pretrials next week. I waited for ten more minutes and grew impatient. Eventually I snapped.

Her: Why didn’t you bring strepsils to school?

Me: How was I meant to know i was going to have a sore throat?!

Her: Well I’m busy with this boy and his bruise

Me: But I’m in Year 12 and really need to get back to class

Her: Well why did you come here then?! This behavior isn’t acceptable.

Me: I needed a strepsil! But fine, I’ll leave! *storms out*

Wow. I'm…I'm starting to think your staff should be prosecuted for gross incompetence, because dang.

Is homeschooling an option? I know nothing of how it might be in Australia, but I know that in the US there are online academies that you can use to earn high school and even college credit.

Unfortunately for me, it's not.

Edit: If life couldn't get any worse, I have a terrible cough. Storms life itself. I feel like I'm overusing this thread.

Uuurgh. I'm a mess. I can't keep control of my life.

All this pressure, all this stress is causing me strife

The one's I trust, are slowly sliding in their knife

Twisting, twisting, wrought with rife.

I was reading my life story one day

And skipped ahead of my chapter, to say

the least, I already had known the outcome

And let's just say

I'm done.

Being awake as the sun rises is annoying. Driving to TX is annoying. Combine those and you have an annoyed Cajun.

Hey, I'll have you know that I'm a proud Texan!

But actually, that's true. Especially when it comes to some of the laws we pass....

My turn to be sick now. Which means my daughter will be throwing up in a few days, just because we can't all be sick and then done, we have to stretch it out as long as possible.

You from East or West Texas?

East Texas. I'm really close to the Red River; it's maybe a couple hours' drive.

EDIT: I live in the DFW area-ish.

Thanks. And yeah, probably won't be a particularly happy birthday, but at the same time, this should be over by then (for me) if my wife and son's experience is anything to go by.

Well, thank goodness for modern medicine! To think, that such a disease might have been fatal two hundred years ago.

True. Right now I'd be thankful to just be able to throw up. I'm at that incredibly frustrating phase of feeling awful but having nothing to expel.

I love seeing the Red anytime I have to drive up to central Louisiana(very very rare so it's a real treat).

Life just WON'T STORMING STOP, WILL IT?! :(

There are seasons. I at least find it useful to think about periods in life as such. Certain seasons, say an icy winter, are unbearable and while you are in the middle of it, it can be hard to believe that nights will shorten and days will grow warmer.

It's the same with tough life periods. While we are in them, it's hard to imagine that things will change. But it will change and the current pressures will let up.
