Mestiv he/him Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 So my eye wasn't badly damaged! That's a good news! The physical damage done by cats claw has mostly healed already. However, now I have an infection to fight. The claw was obviously not clean (actually, the cat had just left the litter box before he hurt my eye), so some nasty germs + warmth + a lot of water + no fresh air under the bandage I had on my eye for a day = red eye that is super sensitive to sunlight and with blurry vision. But it's still better than it was a day ago.

Now they know that our advisor is leaving, that we can't find a new one, that the days of 3 wishes a year are over. We'll continue outside the school. Throughout the year, I'm proud to say that the club members have come to really care about what we do, if they didn't already. My question of whether they are willing to participate outside of school was answered with a resounding 'yes'. But it'll never be the same. There are some pros to moving out, but opportunities and ability will still be more limited. ASB and PTC have already divvied up our events like war spoils. I feel very quiet and somber inside. oh dear. Good luck on finding a new advisor! and good luck with your out of school activities. *hugs* 1

I relate a certain amount to this. The teacher who ran the circus club last year left, and we all want to continue but we need another teacher to at least watch us after school.
Jondesu he/him Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 It's currently 4AM. I woke up at 1AM after going to bed about 9PM, and can't get back to sleep. This sucks.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Me: Well, eHarmony is running a 75% off deal until tomorrow.... Me to me: Yeah, for just three installments of $58, you can get ignored and rejected by all but creepers twice your age! 1

They used to flail their hands around and claim that they didn't know how.

Probably not; I only got the email because I was a member of their site way back when. 5 minutes ago, bleeder said: Is Cute!Patron still around, @TwiLyghtSansSparkles? No, and even if she was, I wouldn't know the first thing about flirting with her. Or anyone else. Bleh. The dating site thing was a bad idea, anyway. Edit: Okay…maybe not such a bad idea after all. Which is to say, the offer seems to be carrying over from eHarmony to Compatible Partners. Argh….what if it doesn't end well, though? Edited February 19, 2017 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles

Briar King Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Could be worth a shot if you have some spare $ to put into it. I personally think 90% are on it just to get laid and move on to next person so be careful but as Kay says/proves there are genuine seekers on it. Use your judgement.

I've been on eHarmony before, and the guys I went out with all seemed like they were genuinely seeking a relationship. I was on Match for a while before that, and that one had more people seeking hookups, although I think the higher price tag discouraged most players.
Briar King Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) I forget which one it was I joined shortly after my Ed: separation. Not divorce. I met some true dregs of the opposite sex lol that made me run for the hills! seriously though if your ready and can spare it for a mth then do it. Who knows maybe you ll meet him/her. If your leery about attempting then just hold off for now. let us know. We care about ya Edited February 19, 2017 by Briar King 1
+Slowswift Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) Y'know, I'm not much of an expert on the medical stuffs, but maybe, just maybe, an 18-year-old's knees shouldn't be trying their best to imitate a fresh bowl of Rice Krispies. Edited February 19, 2017 by Slowswift

Erunion he/him Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 @Slowswift - does it hurt? Does it feel significatly uncomfortable? Otherwise, don't worry, it's completely normal. My everything does the snap crackle pop from time to time, and has since when I was younger than you. You should hear when I intentionally crack my joints. (Most cracking is the harmless bursting of nitrogen bubbles, and is nothing to worry about). In other news, I've been feeling kinda low and down today. Just .... bleh. Mixture of sick, tired, end of reading week (so back to classes Monday), and end of valentines week (which was also the week of my anniversary with my ex. So double whammy for the single dude). I could use a hug.
StrikerEZ he/him Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 So, while the flu medicine has been helping, I think I'm getting bronchitis, or maybe even pneumonia. This can't happen right now, I've got a big solo contest next weekend. I've got rehearsals with my pianist accompanist this coming Monday and Wednesday, I've got orchestra rehearsals tuesdays and Thursday's after school, and I've got clarinet choir after school Wednesday. And I've got to worry about my ensemble. I already missed two days of school, an orchestra rehearsal, and a clarinet choir rehearsal.
