I'd just found the same thing. I don't know if I'd be able to apply the sale to their site or not. Probably not; I only got the email because I was a member of their site way back when.

No, and even if she was, I wouldn't know the first thing about flirting with her. Or anyone else.

Bleh. The dating site thing was a bad idea, anyway.

Edit: Okay…maybe not such a bad idea after all. Which is to say, the offer seems to be carrying over from eHarmony to Compatible Partners. Argh….what if it doesn't end well, though?

Gotta risk it for the biscuit... the biscuit in this case being a compatible and harmonious significant other, I assume.

Then you will have learned valuable lessons about yourself and relationships and gained experience for leveling up the next one.

Could be worth a shot if you have some spare $  to put into it. I personally think 90% are on it just to get laid and move on to next person so be careful but as Kay says/proves there are genuine seekers on it. Use your judgement.

It really does vary from site to site.  eHarmony tends to attract a lot more Srs Biznes people than sites like Match or OKCupid.

Y'know, I'm not much of an expert on the medical stuffs, but maybe, just maybe, an 18-year-old's knees shouldn't be trying their best to imitate a fresh bowl of Rice Krispies.

Well, just like @Erunion said, it depends.  Is there pain involved?  If yes, then go see a doctor.  If no, then you're probably OK.  If there's sometimes pain and sometimes buckling of knees or rolling of ankles, then I'm terribly sorry that you have my joints.

I'm very much an upset egg. I finally got my falconry license, ready to trap a red-tail. But wait. Not yet!!!

We've been on the hunt for two days for a passage (less than a year old) bird, and... no luck. None. Out of every ten birds that leaves the nest, maybe one will be alive right now.

So that means we have very few pickings.

We saw a ton of mature birds, but only one passage. We almost got him. He approached our trap but didn't foot it. He was maybe two feet from a trap that was making distressed calls with a big ol' rat inside. Nothing.

With the length of time its taken me to get my license, and now this, I'm starting to think there's some supernatural force preventing me from becoming a falconer.

How long does it usually take to find a passage?

Depends on the time of the year. They're everywhere in August, but come February they've all died off except for that lucky 10%. The life of a raptor is hard. To give you an example of how long we've only seen one during the two days we spent looking. If we don't find one soon we'll have to wait until August to get one or else the bird won't be trainable due to the rising temperatures. They respond better in cold weather.

@Slowswift - does it hurt? Does it feel significatly uncomfortable?

Otherwise, don't worry, it's completely normal. My everything does the snap crackle pop from time to time, and has since when I was younger than you. You should hear when I intentionally crack my joints. (Most cracking is the harmless bursting of nitrogen bubbles, and is nothing to worry about).

In other news, I've been feeling kinda low and down today. Just .... bleh. Mixture of sick, tired, end of reading week (so back to classes Monday), and end of valentines week (which was also the week of my anniversary with my ex. So double whammy for the single dude).

I could use a hug.

*hug*

ooh thats nitrogen bubbles? My elbows crack when I've been leaning on them to read for hours....

When you said red-tails, I assumed you meant the cockatoo.

There's a bunch of theories, but harmless gas bubbles is the most popular/likely.

Though I have to say it's pretty awesome knowing someone with a falconery  license. is pretty cool (I can't stop talking in italics)

It's Monday.

I'm surrounded by people who find the act of printing to be mystifying.

And I feel like I have a hangover.

The problem, aside from the obvious?

I didn't drink this weekend

I don't drink any weekend because the only alcohol I buy is for cooking

How do I have the consequences of drinking without the fun of it this is so not fair

Possibly through the same mechanisms: dehydration and lack of restful sleep.

Don't speak of hangover if you haven't experienced one. Do you hear colors? Do you see time?
...
Oh wait, those are not from hangover.

Anyway, sometimes you just wake up tired. And with a headache. And irritated at existence as whole. Chocolate should help.

So I just got back from mountain biking, and although it was fun and all, I crashed a few times and scraped up my hands. Now they sting like storms and are really annoying.

Ouch. At least you weren't stabbed by a tree like my friend was

To quote Lupin from Harry Potter,  "eat [chocolate], it'll help"

I've stayed hydrated and got plenty of sleep, so neither of those can be it.

Restful sleep is what you need ;) But dehydration is the big one, anyway.

Hope you're not coming down with something! Eat more chicken! Stay away from smacking noises!

Hangover, synesthesia... very similar.

Had elastic bands (for braces) put in yesterday, and they hurt all day today...also I had both a science and Italian test this morning, one after the other.

Gyagh. I had to endure that once... I ended up swallowing one of mine.

Haven't eaten any yet, but I know it takes like 100 before you actually suffer any ill effects.
I did have to wear some last year, after I first got my braces, but that was only for six hours a day, wheras this is full-time.

I don't know about significantly uncomfortable. It's just annoying when trying to kneel or go down the stairs, but it only really hurts when I try to squat or kneel for a long time. Basically, putting pressure on the knees is a no. It's not affecting my life in a bad way right now, so I think I can put off a doctor's visit.

I'm probably gonna be getting a full exam sometime soon as a prerequisite for a religious mission, so the doc can check it out then. I also need to get my wisdom teeth out, probably my tonsils as well.

Which would totally be fine except for the fact that I have a phobia of medical procedures. <_<
