@Mailliw73: I've expressed suspicion towards yourself, herowannabe, TheMightyLopen, and even Adamir (albeit minimaly), in addition to STINK, so it could be any of those other four, really. I'll note that the aforementioned PM was sent prior to wilson's announcement not to exchange roles. A bit ironic how it came up both publicly and privately by separate people within a twenty minute timeframe, though. Likely just a coincidence.

I have no idea what that means.

EDIT: Nvm, didn't see the bit before that! More paranoia!

It wasn't me, it's not like Hero, Adamir and Lopen haven't been active in that time frame, so STINK's the only one it could be.

Not really. Role reveals typically abound in this game when PMs are open. Though I did say that because someone had just reminded me of that fact.

You aced the timing on that though, I've been receiving much more PMs around that time and since, and without that reminder, it likely could've gone bad for anyone PMing since roleclaims in PMs happen all the time. I would know, I always use that to my advantage. :P

Which reminds me: Everyone, beware of Maill. He's been known to do Info Shoppe's where he sells info to the highest bidder. This info includes roles. :P

After rereading the thread a few times Ripplegylf seems suspicious to me. She has talked about wanting a Day one lynch and about how we need to ensure that there is enough of a vote margin to avoid interference from an eliminator worldsinger yet hasn't done anything to push a lynch.

This also made me think that there is no way the eliminators would be given both a worldsinger and multiple brightlord/ladies since that basically leads to being able to add two votes to any player in addition to their regular votes.

I am also going out for a while and there is a chance I won't be back in time to come and review the game before change-over. I hope I do get back though because I feel like these next few hours could really change my opinions here.

True, I have, but I have changed my ways. (Not really, but I'll at least only do it if I have RP reasons and announce it publicly.) I just keep the info to myself.

I haven't actually pushed a lynch yet because... you all are confusing me. So I'll just go ahead and vote Clanky, not because you voted for me, but I've seen you viewing the page constantly, and rarely doing anything, aside from accusing me.

There's a lot of single votes being thrown around right now, which is really counterproductive to accomplishing anything. If we don't want to waste the day, we are going have to focus on someone.

Lighteyes were blind to everyone but their own.

A darkeyed thief could go beyond notice in a crowd; if they found themselves relieved of spheres or purse, their first instinct is to look to the person with the lowest dahn in their vicinity. But with these storming lenses in my eyes, they looked at me with just as much suspicion as one-another. I'd have to speak to Kagé if I came out of this alive for a more effective disguise. Still, the servants kept out of my may, instead of asking inconvenient questions along the lines of 'what are you doing here? Is this your shift?'

I was working in a different game, perhaps a distant offshoot of what I was used to. The rules were completely inverted. Darkeyes were to be ignored, Lighteyes to be avoided. I had lived a decade allowing Lighteyed faces to blur with one-another, and it was... disconcerting, to have to force myself to memorize their appearance. But how else was I to find out whom Lysen's target was?

Written two pages of RP, which I'll post at Night II to give me enough time to write Day III RP (should I survive that long).

Apologies for the rushed post - very busy, but ought to throw in my two cents. I'm going to vote for STINK. His earlier attempt at stopping the day one lynch, the likelihood of it being he who asked for a role swap and just general intuition lead me to believe him to be an inexperienced eliminator, making small mistakes without the benefit of a doc during the day time. I may remove this vote later, if I get  on and an adequate defence has been mounted, or a better case made for another individual, but for now, I am content with it.

Well, I'm not sure if this is enough to convince anyone to add to my vote, but STINK has sent me a PM asking for my role. I suspect that he just has a very different playstyle, but from what I have seen I think there are better ways than what he has suggested to find the eliminators. Like he said, we don't have much information right now, but the only way to get that info is to pursue killing someone.

You know, in the interests of actually accomplishing something, I am going to switch my vote over to Honey Badger. The behavior that Mailliw brought up, pushing for a lynch without actually contributing, is very much along the lines of how the eliminators can use the lynch as an extra kill without giving away much info about themselves.

Posted

Sorry Clanky, that post was a bit rash. I'm switching over to Honey Badger as well.

So Orlok, lets go along with this scenario you have set up for me to act in, where I get my PM and to my delight, I seem to be an Eliminator! I immediately go on the doc, tell everyone else I'm new then receive next to none advice from the more experienced ones? Leading to me having the worst day 1 as an eliminator? Even with the existence of PMs that mean that I can still receive advice from my superiors?

Sorry to disappoint, but I am a Noble.

Vote tally:

Wilson (1): Night Vote, Stink

Stink (1): Araris, Orlok

Adamir (0): Hero

Winter (0): Raven

Shallan (1): Haelbarde

Raven (1): Winter

Badger (3): Maill, Araris, Ripple

Ripple (1): Clanky

Clanky (0): Ripple

At the moment I will most likely withhold my vote unless Ren answers my question then, depending on answer, I will probably vote for Wilson.

I think I'm figuring out the pattern for this thread. I'm watching it closely, barely nothing happens. I leave for a few hours, then everything happens. Or maybe I'm just so focused I don't notice just how much is happening. :P

Beyond that, though, Ripple, do you have a reason for voting for Honey Badger that isn't just bandwagoning? I agree that Honey is suspicious in pushing for a vote and not helping ensuring it goes on, but I was wondering what your thoughts were.

And can someone do a vote analysis? I'd do it myself, but I only have about half an hour before I'm away from this thread again, and I really don't have the time. I'm wondering who has what votes.

Edit: ....And I get ninja'd. Thanks, Alvron.

I hate to be jumping onto a bandwagon, but I feel like this needs to be done. Ripplegryf, you've just shot into the top of my list of suspects. Not only did you retract a vote without hearing a response, but you also joined the bandwagon on Honey Badger. You had both said that you supported a lynch today, but both of you hadn't voted for anyone yet. You're calling the kettle black. Furthermore, Honey Badger has said that he won't be on for the rest of this cycle. I don't want to lynch someone who hasn't defended himself yet, so I can't allow this vote to go through. Ripplegryf, explain your actions.

Posted (edited)

In "The Honey Badger's" defence, he has been inactive for the past ten hours (since he posted), and given how there weren't any solid leads at the time I do not blame him for not voting. I suppose he could have logged out and has been viewing this thread as a guest, and while I think that sounds like a good enough strategy, I'm not certain that's the case for him. Maybe he really is busy with the real world. I don't know what to think of "Ripplegryf" yet, but am curious to hear their response.

Alvron, why will you be voting for Wilson? We've already had this discussion during the day and decided that in the end, lynching an inactive person is better than an active person.

Posted (edited)

Okay. I was a bit flustered when I wrote both of those posts, because who likes being accused? We all saw how Winter reacted. I joined the bandwagon on Honey Badger because I was flustered, and as Clanky pointed out, I was wanting a lynch but hadn't voted yet. I didn't want to be the one to push someone else into lynch territory, hardly knowing anything. However, I felt Clanky pushed me into voting against someone. It was all just not thought out at all. I apologize.

EDIT: Cancelled my vote on Honey Badger. The whole pile of people voting for me is why I was waiting to vote in the first place.

And now it's tied. Does anyone know how ties work in this game?

Rules say that ties mean no one dies.

Well, STINK, my logic with regard to the point you raise is as follows. In all the games I've played thus far, when I have been an eliminator, the advice to new players has not always covered the argument of day 1 lynches. It is perfectly plausible that as a new player, you entered an argument with an agenda, without the opportunity to first discuss it with your compatriots, and then things spiralled out of hand - you were accused - and without anyone to discuss it with, you jumped onto the only other player with votes.

Alvron, I cannot find your question to Ren - unless you are referring to one in a PM. Would it help us to know it?
