Alfa he/him Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 as a full feruchemist/allomancer...make your own version of the BoM. Hide them somewhere no one would ever look. Then store the memory of where you hid them in a coppermind that is a large sheet of copper with a map on it that has an x somewhere really hard to get...that is not where the bands are hidden. Take the coppermind/map, and give it to a skilled treasure hunter, swearing that it holds the location of an item of power. Watch them get upset about not finding it and laugh. When they get frustrated and give up...take the map yourself and go get your bands. Give them to someone else in front of the treasure hunter and laugh some more. Just make sure to make the "X" somewhere, where the Treasure hunter is unlikely to vanish, since else your Bands would be lost forever.
natc Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Just make sure to make the "X" somewhere, where the Treasure hunter is unlikely to vanish, since else your Bands would be lost forever. But it would enhance the uselessness!
Lexodio Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 - Use Duraluminum and aluminum at the same time to run out of metals super fast. This is my favorite. 1
Bowiespoon he/him Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 use duraluminums counterpart to flare a tineye, then pop a paper bag in his face. (works best on high cliffs)
hoidhunter he/him Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Use the ability to read lips combined with burning atium to finish someone's sentences ALL THE TIME. Pick one individual you don't like so much at work or school and only do it to them...but do it every time they speak. 9
Stormgate he/him Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Or answer the questions they haven't asked.
natc Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 That. Is. Brilliant. Use atium to gauge reactions to your behavior so that you can basically cheat your way through your social life.
Espella Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Store identity at a party so no one can remember that you were the one doing all the stupid things you inevitably do. I assume that's how it would work?
Bob The Peanut Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 First, practice pushing and pulling for years. Then use your skills to trim the bushes with no hands. Watch Brandon writing his books while burning atium. Tell him what he will write next.
king of nowhere Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 First, practice pushing and pulling for years. Then use your skills to trim the bushes with no hands. Watch Brandon writing his books while burning atium. Tell him what he will write next. but if yu do that, you'll influence what he'll write, so he may want to write something else - if nothing else just to contradict this annoying guy who keeps tellling him what he'll write. so this will generate multiple atium shadows, and you won''t be able to keep predicting what he'll write. Bonus uselessness! 2
Dunkum he/him Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 building from there: as a writer, constantly burn electrum to see what you will write next, then write something different. 4
natc Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 And that is why electrum shadows almost certainly split the moment you begin burning.
DreamEternal Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 And that is why electrum shadows almost certainly split the moment you begin burning. Compound physical and mental speed to try to make a sense of the shadows before it is too late! Except that will only make them multiply faster.
Voidus Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Burn Atium to see what's about to happen, then store mental speed so by the time you react it's already happening. You have just invented normal reflexes. 5
Alfa he/him Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Burn Atium to see what's about to happen, then store mental speed so by the time you react it's already happening. You have just invented normal reflexes. This is only useless if you'll never tap the metalminds again. Otherwise it's a complicated way to gain end-positive mental speed.
natc Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Your mental capacity to understand the images increases from atium as well. You can afford to store even more if you solely use shadows for vision.
Jazzy Kandra she/her Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) Alloy Lerasium and aluminum. Burn the alloy. Become a gnat.Regret your choices in life, you could've been a Mistborn. Edited April 10, 2016 by Kandra-in-disguise 1
asterion137 he/him Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 use duralumin to burn all your aluminum 1
Espella Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Alloy Lerasium and aluminum. Burn the alloy. Become a gnat. Regret your choices in life, you could've been a Mistborn. Though depending on how you do it (and assuming that the more of the lerasium alloy you swallow the more power you get) you'll either have some lerasium left over or be the most powerful Aluminum Gnat ever known... which is still pretty useless, unless you worldhop a lot I guess.
Shard Slayer Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 use duralumin to burn all your aluminum Actually, Brandon has hinted that aluminum savants (and presumably duralumin fueled aluminum) can remove other negative forms of investiture. Sort of like a purging effect. So this might not be totally useless.
king of nowhere Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Alloy Lerasium and aluminum. Burn the alloy. Become a gnat. Regret your choices in life, you could've been a Mistborn. or you could alloy it with gold. True, it's not totally useless, but burning gold will help a lot in regretting your life choices of not becoming a mistborn. 4
Oversleep Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 or you could alloy it with gold. True, it's not totally useless, but burning gold will help a lot in regretting your life choices of not becoming a mistborn. This is gold XD 2
king of nowhere Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 oh, and i forgot to mention that you are also wasting an expensive metal to feel guilty about yourself. You could have been a rich mistborn.
Espella Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 oh, and i forgot to mention that you are also wasting an expensive metal to feel guilty about yourself. You could have been a rich mistborn. Is gold really that expensive in Mistborn? Can't remember if it's been mentioned anywhere, the only metals I remember being said to be super expensive were silver and aluminum. Then again if it was said to be expensive I probably just tuned it out because that's normal for our world.
