Is gold really that expensive in Mistborn? Can't remember if it's been mentioned anywhere, the only metals I remember being said to be super expensive were silver and aluminum.

Then again if it was said to be expensive I probably just tuned it out because that's normal for our world.

yea, gold is somewhat expensive, but doesn't get to the same levels as aluminum or atium.  i'm pretty sure it is more expensive than silver, though

Lash a bunch of water to the bottom of the cup. What are the mechanics of Lashing liquids anyway? Tie your shoelaces, and use Abrasion to make sure they will stay tied. Not that the triple knot you did wouldn't do it, but... sometimes people are paranoid about their shoelaces coming undone.
