  1. Achieve perfect pitch, and realize that your favorite song has some flawed notes.
  2. I feel like the Staff members got the positions because all of them seem to be insanely funny.
  3. 1) a) Find an Allomancer who can burn very expensive metals like Bendalloy, then poke them while burning Chromium and then run away laughing maniacally because you wasted their money. Find an allomancer who can burn a metal that is toxic if digested and then poke them while burning Chromium, say that you saved their life, and then act confused when they get mad. 2) If someone jump scares you, start storing breath in a Cadmiummind and then flop around on the ground pretending to be having a panic attack. 3) In the summer, if you see someone with a cold drink then draw in a bunch of heat from your brass mind and stick your finger into their cup
  4. Tell them how it was just a prank and it will all be okay, trust me.
  5. Well, all of them would be a waste of the amazing power you have. Like using a ton of speed to get food fast would be a bit of a waste of the speed.
  6. By distance I assume that you mean distance in family tree from a Lerasium mistborn? Also, how the heck do people get so much reputation? I was psyched when I learned that I got 2 reputation.
  7. Yeah, it was probably rare. And since people would have thought it was useless to carry around aluminum for Allomancy once they learned of it, it would not have been mined in large amounts. And I think it is only valuable in the AoL era because of its ability to resist Allomancy and Feruchemy.
  8. I had not considered that. But I don't think that it was known that aluminum interfered with investure, and we don't know how rare it was. People would probably have thought that it could be pushed and pulled on, because otherwise all hazekillers would have been armed with aluminum weapons instead of wooden or obsidian weapons as wood is very breakable and obsidian shatters relatively easily. TLR knew about it of course, but as nobody else knew about it he could be pretty certain in his safety.
  9. This was my thought. Either Harmony does something or there will be an extreme shortage of metalborn.
  10. I am laughing way too hard at this
  11. Even a small scratch on the brain can interfere with thought. As a child, my dad had a brain tumor and he constantly threw up just because it was resting on an area of the brain that causes nausea. It didn't even cut the brain and it had a very bad affect on him. And as for the knife, once Miles removed it the would could have closed up normally.
  12. 1) Store all the memories of a good book, and then proceed to read it over and over. (I would use this to re-read all of Brandons books) 2) Store as much weight as you can and then float around pretending to be a leaf 3) Run around poking people while burning nicrosil just to see if they are allomancers 4) Use speed to get food during commercials 5) Store food so that you can eat all the food at family gatherings and leave none for other people, then claim that it is because you are a growing boy/girl and need lots of food
  13. You got me there. But keep in mind that the Kandra have the bands. And also that there is a difference between being given Allomancy and Feruchemy through a nicrosilmind and being born a Misting or Ferring.
  14. I must admit, I am a little confused as to what you just said. You could expend the result of compounding gold non stop for years and it would not matter if an area cannot be healed. The brain would still die, or be damaged to the point where even thinking is impossible if it had an aluminum bullet in it.
  15. The wiki says, "It also interferes with Feruchemical healing, by making it impossible for wounds to heal around the aluminium until it is removed from the body". The key word there is impossible. So the body could not spit out aluminum bullets like it does to normal bullets, and then could never heal it. And Marasi says that if a bloodmaker stopped healing and let their wounds consume them (or in this case, be blocked from healing a vital area like the brain or heart), then they would die.
  16. I don't believe that nicrosilminds are infinite. I remember that at the end of BoM, Wax says, "His resources were diminishing. Not merely the metals inside of him, but the reserves stored in the bands. Stores that changed his level of investure. He should have held back, he knew- reserved it for study, or for use in a future emergency- but rusts it was intoxicating". This implies that he is using up the investure stored within the bands.
  17. The things you say are true, but the southerners would probably start mixing with the rest of civilization now that they know about each other. And Hemalurgic spikes decay, and since there is no more atium for non decaying spikes they would presumably become as weak as Vin or Wax's earrings. And yes, it probably won't ever go away, but it will get so weak by the sci-fi trilogy that there would not be enough metalborn for society to be as affected by it as it is in the AoL times.
  18. But at the end fight of AoL, there were tons of aluminum guns loaded with aluminum bullets from the Vanishers that Wax killed. He could have just picked one up from the ground. And also Marasi had her rifle with aluminum rounds. I did say how they may not know about it.
  19. It says it does on the wiki, and I remember reading about Brandon confirming it in a Q&A and saying that it interferes with most types of investure. I am not sure, but I think that it flat out stops healing.
  20. Yes, but I do not see how that changes what I said. The metalminds were filled by the Firemothers and Firefathers, who are not immortal. Once they die, they will need to be replaced, but replacements will be harder to find as Allomancy and Feruchemy become more uncommon because of the diluted bloodlines.
  21. After reading about how aluminum stopped Feruchemical healing, I couldn't help but wonder why Wax and Wayne didn't just shoot Miles with an aluminum bullet. There were plenty of aluminum guns lying around from killed Vanishers at the end of Alloy of Law, filled with aluminum bullets, and a single aluminum bullet in his skull would have killed him. It would have been such a simple solution. The only reason that I can think of as to why they didn't do this is that maybe they had never heard of this, although since Wayne is a bloodmaker it seems like he would have heard about this.
  22. Hi guys! I have been thinking a lot about how Allomancy and Feruchemy are genetic, and how the blood lines are being diffused, and realized that unless something big happens about it, it will probably almost die out. There are already no new Mistborn or full Feruchemists being born after just 300 years, and even though Brandon Sanderson has said that there will be a Mistborn assassin in the modern day trilogy, I don't see how even weak Mistings or Ferrings could still exist in the sci-fi trilogy unless Harmony gives some sort of power boost to mankind. There were no Mistborn, and only weak Mistings, before the Lord Ruler gave people the Lerasium, and Feruchemists only were around because the Terris people were so secluded and only ever reproduced with other Terris people. So I think that either Harmony gives someone Lerasium, or does something else about the Allomantic and Feruchemical potential in people. Unless he does, the sci-fi trilogy will be really boring.
