I actually really like the Red Ajah though I know it's a weird choice. I picked White as a bit of a homage to this person who wrote some pretty great WoT fanfic back in the day when FFN was still the place for fic and was actually useable.

If it’s an exact or very similar re-run, they tend to mention it in the write-up (for example, the last MR had a similar premise to a previous QF.

However, if anyone has suggestions about generally good games to read through, I definitely want to know as well!

This is a pretty atypical game, but I think generally the Anniversary Games are a good bet for how to play if not rules in particular. The Shard games (some of which were AGs, though I'm biased toward LG95 for reasons) can give you a showcase of the potential of docs.

It doesn't (besides Black) - just generally the Ajah are sorted by color in both the series and in prior Wheel of Time SE games. Which leads to some of us having prior attachment to one Ajah or another.

Do I need to have read the Wheel of Time? I'm a little bit embarrassed that I didn't know that was what this was based on.

No, it's just the RP setting, but there are players (e.g. Stick, who just signed up) who are setting agnostic.

Do you RP/like RPing? If you don't, dwai - people will ignore it.

If you like RPing, don't worry too hard about being faithful to the setting. I know the period TJ intends to set this game during but by and large, it is quasi-canonical at best, so it's not like we need to be too setting-faithful anyway. I think we're mostly just happy to RP together regardless  So def. don't worry about not being included RP-wise. 

Basically as long as you have fun, that's good in everyone's book
