  1. Also, Warbreaker (Cosmere) is available on Brandon's website. Not directly for download, but you can probably find a way.
  2. I'm hesitant to e!read Qian here, because his post in self-defense seems normal and calm.
  3. The crazy thing is how young America actually is. If you're 50, you've been alive for a fifth of the time the USA has. I know people who are on the greater side of a third. But also, 250 years ago we were using horse-drawn carriages, getting dysentery, and dying younger than 40. Now, we literally fly around on triangles faster than sound. We've put people on the moon, brought them back, and sent more. Just recently, we sent people further away from Earth than anyone has ever been. We used to have to mail people things using overtaxed stamps, now we send messages at the speed of light using light. It's been a pretty awesome quarter of a millennium.
  4. But look at those discounts!
  5. Same. I'm probably not going to be on a ton these next two days (actually, probably not at all tomorrow), so @Mystic, keep me alive. From what I've seen so far, this discussion is good. Once I have enough time, I'll go through it and get some reads. 1 breathed the salty sea air. He liked it here. He liked it in all of the places (except for that one on Threnody). It was too bad someone had to die each time.
  6. I wish I had character arcs, but that's my weakness. I would love to hear your approach, though, because it might work for me, even if it needs a little modification.
  7. A big point of poke votes isn't the actual exe, but seeing how people react. On that note, TJ. @|TJ|
  8. There's a ton of writers here, along with a huge, very kind (but still honest) group of readers. You'll be able to get great feedback. I feel that. I have a ton of story ideas, but mostly just single moments, and I have no idea how to string them together.
  9. Welcome to the Shard! You've arrived at the best place on the Internet, filled with the best people, the best desserts, and the best murderous animals! Here are a couple of tips to help you settle in to your new place as a cog in the Grand Apparatus that is the Shard: 1. Join S(anderson) E(limination). 2. Familiarize yourself with the most important forums: SE, Cosmere Q&A, and SE. 3. Tell us which books you have and haven't read (this helps us avoid spoilers) 4. HAVE FUN! Make friends! 5.
  10. Shallan! Oh my goodness yes. All of his faces are so hot!
  11. Did my first one today in 16 tries! I don't know how I hadn't heard about this until this topic.
