Day 6 - Queen's Lover Rasmuhtin Poisoned and Shot Till Dead

Sierin had watched with seething jealousy as her Blue Sister Taimon had gotten elected as the new Amyrlin Seat. She thought she had missed her chance but with the deaths continuing to pile up and the pressure building on the new Amylin to act, she felt she could yet salvage the situation. Perhaps she could use these deaths to her advantage...

Rasmuht swaggered into the dining hall of the palace and saw the counsellors and advisors to the Queen, including her ministers sitting around the table, waiting for him to show up. The queen was not there of course, he had just left her in her chambers. They had invited him to discuss a matter of grave importance. With the rumblings of an Aes Sedai split in the White Tower, Rasmuht assumed it was important to discuss how it would affect the queendom. He didn't know why they bothered, that was all up to the queen of course! Nonetheless, he grabbed a goblet of wine and chugged a mouthful as he took his seat. Everyone at the table turned to look at him just as he finished it all. 

"What? That was mighty good wine! I am feeling totally fine!"  

They did not even wait for the poison to take hold completely, they couldn't take the chance. As Rasmuht watched, the men around him grabbed their bows and shot him until he was dead.

What in the world, he thought, trying to figure out where he was. 
He was alive? He had thought he was dead... though was that a dream? 

Hey guys sorry for disappearing, I was really busy this last week and for some reason I genuinely thought I died so I hadn't checked in on the game. 
First instinct, looking at what's happened since I left, seems I was wrong about the 4 player team, but I doubt there's more than one left. So, It should be a 4v1. That means we only have 2 days left to win. The people I'd like to take the closest look at would be Bridgeboi and Aeternum. I'll probably do that sometime tomorrow.

Okay, double posting because no one is here or saying anything 24 hours in. 

@Steeldancer @Aeternum

I think you both are town. This im confident in to varying degrees. 

I think @Terrisman /can/ be town but at this point I have a harder time finding him than you two. 

For me it really comes down to if I think bridgeboi can be an Elim here, or if im wrong on steel or aet. I would love some discussion from people here. 

Were at E/Lo basically and I feel like no one here particularly cares.

Ok sorry I haven’t been really involved for the last few days. In my view, we can learn a drop from the NK. Clearly, whoever is picking the NK’s is trying to give us as little information as possible. First Teldris, then Kasimir (who would have been exed by pretty much everyone then) then Wizard then Sart and finally Stink. Pretty much all of them gave us little to no information.

In my mind, this points to an experienced player. As a rookie myself, I would never have thought to kill quietly, I would have been looking to quiet the people who had control of the thread. I was shocked Kas survived the first night and I probably would have got rid of Ash or Aet on night two. I don’t think this is something BB would have gone with. So that leaves Aet, Steel and Illwei.

 I’m not sure if I think that Steel “disappearing” for two cycles, but coming back is enough to exonerate him for me or could that have been a great ploy to make us think that he can’t be the Elim. I’m leaning towards him being town, I didn’t notice him looking at the thread at all and if he was still playing but trying to keep quiet I dont think he would’ve kept away. It’s too risky.

So that leaves Aet and Illwei. At this point I’m trying to ignore my preexisting bias against Aet and think about this logically. If I had to assume that one of them was an elim, and try to figure out which one it was, I would need to look at the rest of the game. For the last few rounds, I’ve been accusing Aet. If Illwei was elim and Aet was village, I don’t think that Illwei would’ve NK’d Stink. She would’ve NK’d me. Because if I had been killed, that would’ve led suspicion onto Aet because I was publicly suspicious of him. But if Aet is the elim then he would avoid killing me so as to avoid suspicion. 
I dont know if any of this makes sense I’m just doing my best to analyze this.

I never got a good response on why Steel is strongly townread by many but I thought Steel was fine when I read back yesterday, enough that I went from considering voting Steel to not. Don't really know.

NKs are the easiest thing to fake (case in point: those who wanted to clear TUF for the n1), so I'm not interested to read into it and basing your entire read off of NKA is always going to be flawed imo.

Terrisman, I notice that your reads are loosely based on the idea that Steel actively left the game for a few cycles. This is a faulty way of looking at things. If you think steel is town to begin with, can you not trust his statement about thinking he was dead in the game and therefore not checking thread?

I have already talked about my reads on Steel and Aet, and the fact that Terris is asking me about what i feel on those slots at the very least tells me that he hasn't read my posts or doesn't really care about playing this game without living only in the now.

I'll restate.

For Steel it is a lot about the contents of the Ajah doc. Steel disappearing was weird, but ignoring that he actively opposed the Elim reads in the doc- specifically when Gaea and Teldris were scumreading Kas- Steel actively opposed that view when it was completely pointless. There's no reason for an Elim to try and defend a villager there when they could have been either ignoring or instigating. Specifically when Kas was the counterwagon to KA, and opposing him only left steel to vote there to save Kas to a degree, since he wasn't advocating for anything else. If an elim, he left himself no choice but to try and save the villager and push the elim, and I don't find this likely.

Not only that but he was active in the doc quite a bit when others weren't as much. For an Elim to be active in a doc I'd also look for what their agenda is, but I don't know what that would be for steel. The possibility of pocketing gaea/me is there, since he died off the doc after I said I wouldn't be in the doc much, but in general opposing the other players opinions isn't the way you would try to pocket them.

The weirdest thing about Aet so far is their lack of vote on twinstorm on the day twin died especially when they were the counterwagon. My townread on Aet is lighter than my steel read, because I really can't explain much about it but I just. I think they're a villager. A silly reason is because the day twinstorm died they didn't come back and gave the reason "they thought they died"

I think that this, sure, could be faked, but it's a strange reason to use when they didn't actually have many votes on them, and didn't actually vote that cycle. I specifically lean V on this because it's a strange reason, one that I don't ever expect an Elim like Aet to use, if they knew they were only at 2 votes compared to 3. If they were an Elim they would also be more tuned into who is dying if wagons were e/e that day.

Other than that I can't explain it much because I don't have the time or energy to go through and pick apart their posts. They have several walls they have written that I just believe are out of their Elim range. I could be wrong on this for it being a different site, but I just don't think this is the case. They've seemed genuinely invested enough at specific points with posts that I don't believe they'd post as an Elim. 

The reason I have steel over them though is because they have been generally directionless since twinstorm died, which I don't know how to feel about. The fact that they did vote and then retracted is more positive than if they didn't vote at all. I don't see any reason for E!Aet to condemn Ash at that point when Ash was townreading him and terris was pushing. It's completely counter productive for them, making it more likely they die the next day.

Actually I was suspicious of him before and my question was simply if him missing two cycles was enough in my mind to clear him.

That’s simply not fair. I’ve read every post in this game. You can’t expect me to remember everything anyone said and it’s not easy to find it in 13 threads. I actually did look to see what you had said in the past but couldn’t find where you posted. And you gave much more detail now. You’ve said you trust steel based on what he said in the doc but I don’t recall you saying he opposed the Elim reads

At this point I'm debating voting Aet simply because I feel that the game is lost if it is terrisman at this point. With Aet, steel, and bridgeboi all not here.

I didn't read back through posts like I was planning on so I dunno and I haven't felt like reading.

I then proceeded to go read so here's my thoughts for now.

Would lean towards voting between Illwei or Steel here, just not sure whether I consider TwinStorm unpaired from Illwei slot off of d1 or not. KelsierApologist's readlist d1 gave a non read on Gaea/Illwei slot which is concerning I suppose. The slot did vote an elim at a good time on d1 though, so meh. The funny part is that TwinStorm kept soft defending the slot with posts like this one, which is also concerning.

Terrisman is kind of a busser like me if elim and had pretty good d2 posts that imo were important to why TUF did die that day, even if it's mostly parroting stuff I said in doc to Terrisman, saying it in the thread gets points from me.

The point came up at some point that Sitters have more incentive to bus, and I'm fairly certain an elim had to have bussed at some point (at the very least BridgeBoi thought both TwinStorm and TUF were elims; Illwei pushed TwinStorm; Steel pushed I forgot who d1; Terrisman pushed TUF d2). So I don't know how much I should clear Terrisman for the strong push on TUF (and notably moved thread away from ToW, who was town, back to TUF, who was elim), because yeah I'd bus there too lol. The last elim d2 was forced to bus, looking at VCs again, so maybe nothing from d2 is that clearing.

Atp it's more whether or not I think BridgeBoi is just an elim or not, because if so today is pretty much useless. I don't know if I should have concerns on how TwinStorm treated BridgeBoi because usually that should be pocketing, but TwinStorm doesn't go about it in a very pocket-y way imo. But then TwinStorm is a lot newer than what I'm used to looking for, so I don't really know.
