  1. Hmmm, I thought it was Dalinar forcing the Stormfather to form into a Shardblade of some sort. But maybe he somehow touched a piece of Adonalsium himself? Or a piece of the Spiritual Realm? Dalinar as the new Adonalsium would be pretty awesome....
  2. Alethi and most others call any bird a "chicken" no matter what it is (parrot, parakeet, duck, goose, etc). But it sounds like this "chicken" really is an Aviar.
  3. I agree that Jasnah is fine on her own, and doesn't need a romantic relationship to flesh her out. Also, she doesn't seem particularly interested in any romance at the moment, and is perfectly happy to be as she is. Also, Jasnah and Kaladin seriously have *nothing* in common. It's not even a case of "opposites attract." It's just a total lack of any kind of rapport or commonality. He's emotionally driven, conflicted, stubborn and has lots of issues. She's rational, logical, strong, confident, and can't stand unresolved issues or irrational emotions.
  4. Sadly, my first pessimist thought was, "Well, isn't that just typical of us?"
  5. It could also be Sja-anat. Ambition turned him Unmade, and now he wants to be free of Odium.
  6. That actually makes a lot of sense. It's still weird that Gavilar managed to have two of them, though. And was so worried about people seeing the one he had on him that he gave it to the man that killed him.
  7. Their descriptions seem similar to the appearance of the King's Drop after it captures the Unmade.
  8. I'm confused on a point about Gavilar's death. In Way of Kings, Gavilar, as he was dying, gives Szeth a black orb: However, in Oathbringer, Gavilar gives the orb to Eshonai, and tells her to use it to find their gods. So did Gavilar have TWO such spheres? Or are they the same sphere and there's a continuity error? I presume that the sphere(s) hold an Unmade. So if he did have two, which ones were in each?
  9. Hmmm I don't know. The Windrunners seemed to take sides all the time, in Dalinar's visions and Kaladin's actions, plus the commentary from the gemstones.
  10. Yeah I think it's the latter.
  11. Well, at least we know who the author is now. And Adolin seems even less likely to bond an evil spren
  12. Maybe, "I will forgive myself if I fail" ?
  13. I even missed it after he described her hair changing colors. I actually wondered if she were an Elantrian at that point (the description said something about pale hair), then decided to think about it later.
  14. Yeah I missed Vivenna and the fortune teller and the Avir. I'm lucky I figured out Nightblood lol. Seriously, I am BAD at it.
  15. Can we do Worldhopper and off-world items spotting, like Pagerunner did? I tend to completely miss both so a list of both in the OP would be appreciated. Like, apparently Mraize's green chicken is an Aviar.
  16. It might be something like, "Some must die, that others may be saved."
  17. It made me think of malantium (sp) from Scadrial.
  18. I wonder if it'll be something like, "I will accept death as part of the journey."
  19. Yeah it could be. I just thought I'd mention it in case it was a problem.
  20. Not sure how much of an issue this is (it might be my ereader). The page between Ch 93 and 94, that contains the image about the Vorin wines says, "Yellow: Bold & deep without guilt." and "Blue. Complex notes of berry & lemon." Should be "Bold & deep without guilt." I assume? The html says the same thing. "Yellow. Bold & deep without guilt." Again, it could just be my ereader. This is the epub from Googleplay books.
  21. Not a typo. He continues talking in the next paragraph, so a quotation mark isn't necessary.
  22. The first part, maybe. But bees?
  23. Chapter 44 Page 468 (ebook, so this is an estimate) where Shallan and Renarin are talking about the city and the fabrials. "It does being a city." He frowned. "Well, I mean, it BEES a city....It does what the city is...." I'm not sure what word it should be, but I don't think it should be BEES.
  24. Pretty sure that's on purpose
  25. I read about a page a minute, so 60 pages an hour. With Oathbringer at about 950 pages, I'd guess around 16* hours? *Not including time for food, sleep or calls of nature.
