Feruchemy. I think it'd be more useful in everyday life. Allomancy is handy in a lot of ways, but seems very combat oriented. It'd be good for soldiers though, for sure.

the problem with this is that MeLaan digested some of Marasi's flesh, then used it to make the tissue. Kelsier's bones wouldn't have any flesh left, and I doubt the marrow would have been enough or viable.

Does anyone else love Sterris now? [Bands Spoilers]
RShara replied to mattig89ch's topic in Mistborn
I have to say I think she has OCD for sure. Her planning, over planning, redundancies, contracts, lists, etc, and her reaction (distress) when she hasn't accounted for something is classic OCD. -
Hahaha that's another good question, though. My only exception to a mistwraith body, though now, is that it seems like the Sovereign showed up pretty soon after the Catacendre, and certainly before the end of Spook's reign. So they either figured it out really fast? Or something else happened.

Haha. It does remind me a lot of the Calamity star, and I kept having to stop myself from using it as a comparison.

Cool feature I didn't know about. If they're that close together then it is possible that they're seeing the Rip or Scar in a very similar way. Maybe a little bit of distortion, depending on distance, still. I just really really wish that we had a map

(Secret History Spoilers) Issues with Geometry?
RShara replied to TruthlessofNalthis's topic in Mistborn
Well, the continents wouldn't be exactly the same anyway, since any uninhabited areas would probably be smaller/compressed, depending on population/habitation. So like, our Africa, the Sahara normally would take days or weeks to walk across, but might take only a few hours or days in the Cognitive Realm, since there isn't a lot of life there. -

I'm fairly sure that areas without a lot of souls/sentient beings are compressed so that they take up less "space" in the Cognitive Realm. So for flattening, you would have the continents in more-or-less the same shape as they are in the Physical, with spaces between for oceans to kind of "fill in the gaps" between them (which makes flattening the planet much easier!) Then once you get to the "end" of that planet's Cognitive space, you get to the empty spaces between planets. The Tower was probably somewhere in the empty spaces between the planets Scadrial and Sel. With the lack of life in space, that would mean that it's a relatively short distance between planets in the Cognitive Realm, allowing people to travel between planets much faster. -
I don't know if this is a typo, an oversight, or deliberate, but Kelsier uses almost the exact same words to describe something in a very short period of time. Chapter 3, second page, near the top. Page 66 of the ebook version. Also, Chapter 2, page 3 (page 51 of the ebook) it says I'm not sure if that turn of phrase is deliberate. It makes it sound like Khriss is following behind him with her weapon, while in fact she is sitting on her stool.

Yes, but they'd be a few years old at that point, and I think stem cells die pretty fast?

I would disagree. Scadrial metal glows very brightly to Kelsier and Vin and Ruin/Preservation. Metals from other places, like Nazh's knife, don't glow, due to their non-Scadrial origin.

Can we call him Mr. T instead? Because a spike kinda looks like a T, right? Right? -

I don't know that there's an actual Survivor Shard. There is a shard that is not invested in a planet that just wants to survive, but that doesn't mean that is its intent. It could be any number of things, including Cowardice -

Sorry, minor point--Shadesmar is the region of the Cognitive Realm near Roshar, rather than the whole of the Cognitive Realm. 300 years is a relatively small amount of time in the grand scheme of things. Sazed is still learning, and wasn't present at the original Shattering, so he wouldn't necessarily know about the presence or power of other Shards. He doesn't recognize the spike from SoS, so it doesn't seem like he has any information about other Shards, other than knowing about Adonalsium. Yolen wise, I get the feeling that whatever happened there might have severed its connection/existence to the Cognitive (and maybe Spiritual) realms completely. So it might be that the only way to get there would be physically. Other than that, we don't know enough about how the Cognitive Realm works to know if there are different levels/planes, but from what we've seen so far, I don't think it has multiple planes, just different areas. -
I thought this was an indication of his self condemnation (I sense he feels at fault for something). Also, he named himself for his dead master, yes? So he's like, an echo or a remnant of his master, in that sense.

Oh, I found another quote. From Bands of Mourning: So the mind (?) returns to the Cosmere? Is that the part that goes to the Spiritual Realm? And the soul goes Beyond?

Well, Brandon has said that Scadrial is basically the Cosmere's Earth-equivalent, so anything that exists on Earth probably exists on Scadrial.

[Secret History Spoilers]So . . . That's the only reason?

And because Vin noticed something off about him, according to a WoB. http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=727#24
