  1. Brandon needs a Slider with a huge cache of bendalloy. So that he can write faster in less time.
  2. Nice catch! Yeah, it really sounds like Jasnah either has or is close to getting, Shardplate. Jasnah's basically been a few steps ahead of everyone so far, so this would make a lot of sense. I'm fairly certain that's how it does work. Dalinar mentions several times in his visions how the Shardbearer's helms seemed to appear and disappear.
  3. Well, as a newly minted internet-expert*, it seems that being able to communicate with your alters, instead of them just taking over, and recognizing when they *do* take over, is an important step toward re-integration. *Heavy sarcasm here, just spent a few minutes on the google lol
  4. So on a quick Google search, managing to talk to your alters and getting them to act through the original personality, instead of just taking over, is actually an important step.
  5. Staying Shallan, while being able to draw on Veil and Radiant's abilities and knowledge (even vocally or with mental words), I think is actually a sign of progress. It also reminds me of Brandon's other series, Legion. He seems to have researched Dissociative Personality Disorder quite extensively.
  6. I'm just reminded of the movie Sybil. Where, at the end, as a sign of her enormous progress, she was able to meet and interact with her other personalities, and give herself/them comfort and acceptance.
  7. I think that has more to do with the pressure of the Ghostbloods' threat, the Unmade stalking the halls, the Everstorm, the need for Radiants, and the expectations of Jasnah, than because of Adolin's presence. Like, everybody has these high expectations of her that she's not sure she can accomplish, so she creates these personas that can. Adolin, however, thinks that she, herself, can handle these things, helping her to re-assimilate them.
  8. Yep, but how many of those chickens are actually chickens? lol... Yeah I expect we're likely to see a few more Aviar in the future.
  9. The way I see it is this: In order to deal with her issues, Shallan has to feel safe, and secure, and confident in *herself* rather than using Veil or Radiant. Adolin is willing to accept her flaws and she knows he will be there and be supportive of her as she tries to work through her issues. He can also recognize her, Shallan, rather than Veil/Radiant. Kaladin would likely be horrified or angry, possibly even repudiate her if he knew some of the things she has done, and might need to do in the future. Heck, has he even noticed that she has three personalities? Also, Kaladin has a LOT of his own issues to work through, himself. The two of them together would be realllllly messy.
  10. Aye, aye, Cap'n! My apologies!
  11. Okay okay I thought of something! Jasnah's Queen now, so she'll need a consort and an heir. And who would be more fitting than the first of the new Radiants (that isn't related to her or the same gender), Kaladin Stormblessed?!
  12. I think it has to. Jasnah has Soulcast a lot, especially recently, and isn't showing any signs of becoming smoke or stone.
  13. I edited my post with a link to some of the instances that turn of phrase is used. Apparently, it's used a lot in religious context. Ahhh I see the confusion. The Everstorm hasn't hit Azir and Thaylenah yet. It appeared to the *east* of them, so they noticed it. But it hadn't rounded the globe and hit Shinovar yet (Dalinar thinks that it soon will hit Shinovar), so they didn't think it would go 'round the globe and hit the continent again.
  14. It can be considered a location as well. It can also just be the way they speak--I've seen that turn of phrase in a lot of different places and books. Lots of times in religious context, apparently. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b&ei=MmMOWousBqeQ0gKYz66wAw&q="I+saw+it+in+vision"&oq="I+saw+it+in+vision"&gs_l=psy-ab.3...20710.25813.0.26326.2.2.0.0.0.0.129.238.0j2.2.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.1.129...0i22i30k1j0i22i10i30k1.0.KinG8L7YL8w I guess I'm not sure what you're saying on the second part. Can you quote the passage?
  15. That should be fine. He's referring to his vision kind of like a location. Like saying, "I saw it in school!" I'm not sure what's not clear about the monarchs not thinking the Everstorm would come again? They're thinking it was a one time phenomena that would circle the globe once, and peter out.
  16. Odium feeds on passion and emotion. Maybe a better description of his intent would be Lust? Void seems more appropriate, but I don't see how that could be an Intent. Lust/Hunger/Emptiness?
  17. We know the true identity of the Voidbringers and the Dawnsingers.
  18. I think this is discussed in this thread:
  19. I think Highness can be used for anyone of royal blood who's in line for the throne. Majesty would be reserved for the actual monarch.
  20. All the Death Rattles refer to future events, right? So it seems more likely that this is referring to when Kholinar fell to them.
  21. Given what the gemstone said about the 4th Ideal, it seems unlikely that this would be the concept.
  22. I don't think they're spheres like the money. They're described as crystalline spheres.
  23. Okay, so he definitely had two separate spheres. Were they just filled with voidlight? Or voidspren, or unmade?
  24. Can't do it. This pairing is just too unlikely and would probably be awful. Sorry!
