Reread it. It's free online, and Brandon wrote it, so it's totally worth rereading.

Ffnord– High Prelan starts at 180, not 183.

Not a result, no. I think you have to specifically do something, likely swearing an Ideal, in order to get it. It doesn't just naturally form on it's own. It's a construct meant to limit that stormlight flow, to keep it in for the Surgebinder.
-
I'm rather partial to the theory that surgebinders get gemhearts– that is, Shardplate artificially stores the stormlight externally like gemhearts do naturally in native animals. Basically, a hack to get around the fact that the Surgebinder's biology is not adapted to the planet like native organisms. Voidbringers are then known for their perfect storage because they do have gemhearts, as the native inhabitants, and don't need artificial plate to hold it for them.

I think you're missing Liar of Partinel. But still, that's only 7 (eight, if Braize counts) Shardworlds. There must be 2-3 more they find in the space Mistborn. Dragonsteel is a prequel iirc, so it's not going to be the end of the Cosmere. I'm thinking space Mistborn will be that, especially since we know from WoB that Hoid will be a main character in that. Oh, and you know what would be even better than naming it that? If the entire novel was narrated by Kelsier from the grave.

I'm pretty positive Kaladin's fighting is supernaturally based– he remarks how he feels like the wind's talking to him, how he feels like he could continue fighting with his eyes closed. And when he loses his powers, he's unable to do even basic spear exercises properly. If one of your list is off, it's probably Jasnah's geolocation, since that only comes from a single offhand comment Wit thinks to himslef.

There's a bit in the last chapter before the epilogue about how when Elhokar returned he came back with a bunch of Herdazians, one of which had just named himself King. That's probably what it is. And since this is happening literally immediately after he takes in Stormlight the first time... well, just do the math.

It applies to all Allomancy, actually. All that power comes from Preservation, so burn enough and you're taking away considerate portions of his power temporarily. Of course, compounding is more significant a threat because that power can be stored and held, whereas normal Allomancy's power will eventually find its way back to Preservation. -
Aluminum actually stores Identity in Feruchemy. It's an ability we don't know much about, but it can be used to make your metalminds tappable by others. Aluminum in Allomancy actually is the one that erases your metal reserves, while Malatium, an alloy of Gold and Atium, is the backwards gold you're talking about. The Identity he's talking about is the same as what can be stored in Feruchemy– it's who/what you are, your essential, spiritual self.

We learned about her from a recent WoB that states that she's the most knowledgeable person in the Cosmere, beating out even Hoid. She's also apparently the female protagonist of White Sands.

You would personally gain investiture– but Preservation would have to supply it. So there is a limit to compounding Nicrosil: you can only do it until you have enough investiture that you become the Shard's holder, Vin-style. -
Leras was a man, actually. So that's an example right there. Interesting theory. I like the idea of each having number associations. But it's not just Preservation that had the 16 metals association– Ruin's magic, Hemalurgy, has 16 metals too. And Endowment's system has the Ten Heightenings. There's no way Cultivation was formed from Endowment. Cultivation's been around for thousands of years, and Warbreaker is less than 300 years ago. Edit:Serves me right for not refreshing. Dusting Ninjas!

But the King's Wit is pretty much awesomer than all the other ranks combined. If I get that rank eventually, I think I'll have to avoid making good posts lol so that I stay that rank. Or request downvotes or something.

There's also an interesting observation by Shallan in WoR. She notices that the hordes of spren that flock around chasmfiends are the same as skyeels. Now, seeing as both are examples of organisms that effectively defy gravity... are those gravityspren, in a symbiotic relationship with both organisms?

I'm not just talking about metals specifically, just materials/substances in general. It's just sorta strange, and it's hard to think of a good reason why Aluminum alone is universally weird. Why single it out? It's not that special an element, really.
-
I wonder if there are any other materials that act strangely around the entire Cosmere. For Aluminum to be entirely unique in this seems bizarre.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
PorridgeBrick replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This probably has something to do with Kal's wineskin comment. The more Stormlight you have, the faster it's lost, until it gets to the point where you lose it faster than you can be invested. Edit: New Question: Is Reya someone on Ashyn? -
Spren tie to Surges, not Orders
PorridgeBrick replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Stormlight Archive
Specificity means that the Spren are very specific in who they'll bond with. So Honorspren and the Stormfather are very picky, wanting people that'll abide by strict codes of Honor, but more Cultivationy spren like Cryptics don't care if they're good people just as long as they give them lots of juicy truths to chew on. -
Dalinar's Blade and Hoid's Love Interest
PorridgeBrick replied to Truthless's topic in Stormlight Archive
You do know Nazh isn't the recipient of the letter, right? We have WoB that the recipient is a dragon (most likely from Dragonsteel). We really don't know if Nazh and Hoid are opposed. All we know is that Nazh goes around making maps and sketching Bridgemen tattoos. Also, Nazh is a guy. We see him as a weird ardent sketching the bridgemen before being ushered away. And Khryss is apparently the female protagonist of White Sand– which makes it very unlikely she is anywhere near as old as Hoid. How she's so knowledgeable is a mystery. -
Mwahaha! Bow before my newfound rank! Cower before my might! Admire my..... wait, Oldblood? That's my title? The 'blood' part is pretty good, but I think there's something better than 'Old' to go in front of it. Maybe.... something that rhymes with fight? It's right on the tip of my tongue. Oh well, I suppose I'll just go destroy some evil till I think of it.
-
Hmm. I believe that Aluminum's interference with Bloodmakers is our first confirmation that Aluminum screws with Feruchemy too. I wonder what other metals are affected. Will a tinaluminum foil hat stop a Connector from influencing you as well as Emotional Allomancy?

Now I'm even more confused on bubble physics. You can ricochet off the bubble?! Wha?!
