Not really. Just looking at the title, you could easily suppose it was based on something we learned Realmatically from WoR, or even an analogy like how people are comparing Shard-cut limbs to Awakening color drain. I think people here are going a little paranoid about spoilers.

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village
PorridgeBrick replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
If Clan is a Connector, then he's doing a bad job of it. For a Connector, the smartest choice should be to hide in the largest group. Even if he thought Asp was innocent, there's no reason to vote for Mabi instead, as his vote wouldn't count anyways. Someone is soothing/rioting Clan, or maybe just anyone who votes for Mabi.- 739 replies

I don't think slowing the game down would be too much of a problem- after all, Surgebinder is only one role, and there could always be another killing role (maybe Honorblade/Herald) that is not constrained by hitting innocents. The only trouble then is to make Surgebinder strong enough that the other killing role doesn't outshine it – maybe their kills are double strength?
-
Oh, that's definitely right then. Guess I'll retract my vote for #6. So there's someone who actually knows what they're talking about? I bow to your knowledge here. Haha, I was thinking the exact same thing for Flamestance. I wonder if that's where Brandon got his inspiration from. Is there any practical reason for that stance in real martial arts?

Brandon's answers in Houston 3/11 signing

The fact that Parshendi are of both Cultivation and Odium now is interesting. That might be evidence for my/Moogle's theory that Voidbinding is a hybrid of those two shards. -
For an interesting Stormlight role, you could have the Surgebinder, who can choose to kill or protect someone every night. However, if they kill an innocent, or protect a (insert villain group), then they permanently lose their powers. Another would be Parshendi, who randomly get assigned a form every night. Most forms grant powers, but Stormform will make you join the evil side for the rest of the game, randomly getting voidish variants of each form every night.

6 looks a lot like Smokestance to me. As for Stonestance, it sounds like maybe 2, though we really know too little to tell.

No need for aluminum anyway though. Plate and Blades are all way too heavily Invested to push on.

I'm not so sure that even Feruchemy will give much of a speed advantage. Combine atmospheric pressure and gravity, and any windrunner should be able to accelerate to blinding speeds. Really, the only real limit is how many G's their body can withstand. And they only need a bit of time to get out of reach, where they can just snipe them off. As for Feruchemical gold, including Compounding: that is dependent on their spikes. Inquisitors have no armor to guard their spikes against a Shardblade, while the Windrunner's shardplate can last enough for the Windrunner to just wade in, take the hits, and slice up their spikes. A natural Feruchemical gold Compounder is certainly an enormous threat for a Windrunner, but an Inquisitor should be easier.

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village
PorridgeBrick replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wow, we've been really, really lucky this game. The only Spiked attacks tonight were either Lurched or Thug'd through, and now our Seeker has found us a Spiked. Even if the Seeker is lying, which is highly unlikely, we can still kill them by asking Gamma. I wish it felt like we were actually playing well instead of being lucky. Oh, and Asp.- 739 replies

I don't think that is the case, since very soon after she is obviously interested in him, what with negatively comparing Adolin to him.

If it was a rioting, then there'd be two votes missing: the one from the vote that was rioted, and the rioter's own vote which is automatically canceled out.- 739 replies

Theoretical Surgebinding Awesomeness
PorridgeBrick replied to Trickonometry's topic in Stormlight Archive
A normal Windrunner may be capable of that, depending on how versatile Atmospheric pressure is. If they can create a vacuum in front of them, then they also won't be effect by air resistance. As for my ideas... Well, the Stonewards seem like they will be the ultimate smiths. They can use Cohesion to shape anything like it's clay per WoB, and then use Tension to make it as hard as steel. Great at sieges too: just walk through the wall like it isn't even there. -
I don't think that would work either. Remember, the investiture you get from Allomancy has already been filtered into a specific action, while Stormlight is pretty much untyped Investiture. They might get Stormlight out if they infused some Stormlight into it prior a la Compounding, but I doubt there'd be any other major interactions.

Same. But it's getting worse: almost every post I made today has had that problem. Also, there seem to be some errors with upvoting? It says there's an error with storing my vote, but it's there once I refresh, so no real problem. Same thing with clicking the little Aons next to each subforum- it doesn't happen till I refresh.

Kaladin is Dalinar's bodyguard. He has just as much reason, if not more, to report what Shallan says to the Kholins as Adolin does. So telling Kaladin rather than Adolin can only be for emotional reasons.
-
That really doesn't make me any more inclined to approve of the ship. Hooray, we uphold gender stereotypes? I know you didn't mean it like that, but still. Yes, actually. Right at the beginning of one of the chapters, she goes on a long internal monologue about how wonderful Kaladin's gaze is for a few paragraphs, completely ignoring what Adolin is saying to her at the time.
-
I thought someone else said it was Threnody.

Adolin radiant or NOT? (SPOILER WOR)

Hoid probably switched Taln's blade, but Kal got Jez's blade directly from Sezth's dying hands. -

I believe he was also planning for Taln to be a viewpoint character, though I could be wrong.
