  1. And now in my head canon, Mraize is Robert DeNiro from Stardust.
  2. When Kaladin finds Amaram...
  3. Poor Kaladin...
  4. The way he rolls the sphere over his knuckles immediately made me think of someone rolling coins over their knuckles. Pretty sure this is a worldhopper from ScadRIAL.
  5. Bloody brilliant +1 Back to the topic at hand... Edgedancer spoilers: I don't think any of our new Radiants will die. If I had to pick someone, probably Elhokar or a prominent member of Bridge 4.
  6. I suspect there is a connection to this passage as well: Question is: what is the ability of Ishar and the Bondsmiths that allows them to destroy groups of beings? I like your theory about the Listeners being made into Parshmen by the Bondsmiths. I believe there is a WOB that says that if a Parshendi took a Parshmen into a highstorm, they would not be able to bond a spren (but the Everstorm will change this). It makes sense that if they became Parshmen by their own methods, it would be more easily reversed than if it happened forcibly at the hands of the Bondsmiths.
  7. Nail on the head with these two. Dalinar, in my head, looks exactly like William Hurt from A History Of Violence. And Whitfield is spot on for Kaladin.
  8. Bringing this board back from a shallow grave. I'm re-reading Secret History, and my second time through this section I immediately thought it sounded like a shardblade. 1. The knife just appears. Although, as some have pointed out, this is not especially unusual for the Cognitive Realm 2. The blade is glistening, kinda like a shardblade shortly after being summoned. This is what made the shardblade lightbulb go on in my head. 3. He addresses it very personally. Similarly to those that carry living shardblades (or dead ones in Adolin's case) and Nightblade.
  9. It's very common in German-speaking nations. Someone from Berlin = Berliner; someone from Munich (München) = Münchner; someone from Vienna (Wien) = Wiener . This applies to more than just people. Wiener schnitzel is Vienna-style schnitzel. Ayinger Wiessbier is Hefeweizen from Aying.
  10. These are my thoughts EXACTLY. +1 to you!
  11. The real question: Did the Ire want the Preservation Shard in order advance their reggae agenda?
  12. Yeah much of my statement is incorrect. I believe we have WoB now that Listeners may be able to form a Nahel Bond. So disregard that entire post...
  13. I'm not sure where it was exactly, but I saw one user hypothesize that the Kandra could be storing hemalurgic spikes inside their bodies to prevent degradation.
  14. Heh. Sorry... Seems like a tenuous connection but it would not surprise me if this is true. If Nalt is Endowment, then who would Trell be? What opposes Endowment? Hate? Autonomy? In a quick thesaurus search, the listed antonym of endowment is loss, and among the synonyms for loss was... Ruin! But that sort of kills the idea that Trell represents a different Shard on Scadrial. So, looking at other synonyms: Calamity, Depletion, Deprivation, Debt? Shrinkage? (Sorry again)
  15. God help me, I love sass. +1
  16. Argent, could you link this post? My assumption was that Wax's steel bubble was a result of being a steel savant, and his Twinborn perk was the conservation of momentum we saw during the climactic chase scene. Regardless, I agree that Wayne's immitation abilities don't seem related to his Allomantic and Feruchemical abilities. I am far more interested in the possibility of interbreeding. If there are human-koloss, why not human-kandra?
  17. Wayne and Melaan's chemistry was so much fun to read! Maybe he'll get the concept of homosexuality through his thick skull, seeing as Ranette referred to her girlfriend by name. Probably not, though, due to all the literal banging his head against a wall... I agree with everyone here on liking Steris a lot more.
  18. I will stay true to my path, no matter how difficult the way. I will better myself. I will improve the lives of other, so long as they are worthy. I will drink beer, so long as it is cold.
  19. Rosharan Stew Recipe: 1. Temporarily transport your meat to Damnation 2. Return when lightly Braized 3. In a separate saucepan...
  20. I redid the quiz with the aid of my significant other and got 72% Bondsmith! Full KR Bondsmith this time woot! Also: 44% Skybreaker 34% Elsecaller 34% Windrunner 22% Stoneward 19% Trutwatcher 0% in for all other orders
  21. @Patrick Star - Elhokar will now forever have Tom Cruise's face in my head.
  22. This indicates that Shardpools are used to worldhop, although it does not say that they are the only method of doing so. http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=1091#2
  23. 44% Bondsmith 28% Edgedancer 22% Stoneward 22% Truthwatcher 13% Skybreaker 44 isn't all that high, but I kind of thought I'd get Bondsmith. Fits my personality pretty well. And it's an elite club, woohoo!
